The Westin Cincinnati was an acceptable accommodation because of its excellent location and it's where the wedding block was reserved. The concert in the square and all of the wedding functions were right there or connected by a sky bridge. Shopping was close by.
Ingredients restaurant is a big plus as well.
However, the facilities are worn - peeling laminate countertops in the bathroom, carpet stains and damp smell in the room. If I had to pay full retail for this room I would have been very upset.

Hello to the West Cinn team !
A special thanks to those of you at the reception desk who facilitated my receiving the boxes ordered by me. Yes, living in London it was a chance to do some online USA shopping.
A special thanks for recommendation to Serveigne (spelling?) who brought my packages, organized the pick up and delivery with professionalism and a bit of Francophone charm.
Actually, I found the entire staff mufti-lingual, multicultural and courteous on top of their fine professionalism.

Overall, enjoyable stay and found staff while in the hotel to be exceptionally helpful.
However, the water to sink and shower did not adjust and hot water temps were well above safe level. Choice: hot or cold and took several minutes running to transition.
Housekeeping did not even fluff pillows.
Post checkout, when I called to notify there was an incorrect charge on my bill, I was on the phone nearly 10 minutes repeating information to several people before being informed that it would take 24-48 hrs to credit my bill and to issue a revised statement.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sandy31 Wedding Facilities were excellent, but billing staff is horrible.
We booked two rooms x 2 nights each at the Westin for our son's wedding. I initially had trouble with the reservation department as they mistakenly told us we could not get the wedding rate of $119 per night and initially charged us $152 per night. We I called again, they stated that they had corrected this. However, when we checked in, they again showed the $152 per night rate. The front desk clerk seemed at a loss as to how to change this. When we spoke to the hotel facilities coordinator for the wedding, we were told that this would be taken care of. When we checked out, the rate for my daughter's room was at the correct rate. However, when I had a chance to again review my bill after I got home, I found that I was still being billed at the $152 rate for the room that my wife and I stayed in. Imagine my surprise when I received my email statements from the hotel and found that I was also being billed for a third room which we never stayed in or used!!! I contacted the front desk of the hotel last night, who said that she could correct the $152 room rate but would have to investigate the charge for the third room. I have yet to be contacted by the Westin Cincinnati to have this situation rectified. For me, this has detracted from what was otherwise a very happy occasion. The Westin needs to get their reservations and billing house in order!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by eye95 Staff are obnoxious
They don't solve guest problems. They just apologize profusely for how the guest feels! Then they apologize for apologizing too much.
When a guest has a problem, they expect solutions, not apologies and excuses. This is especially true when dealing with management who react similarly to the front-line personnel.
I think the attitude must be embedded in their training, so I won't stay at a Westin again, or at a Sheraton, or at any other Starwood hotel.
For the price (overpriced), I expect better.

This hotel is in great proximity to the life of Cincinnati...I am a frequent guest so its nice that the staff remembers who you are and attentive to your needs.

We had three rooms reserved. When we made reservations, the only rooms available were king rooms. We needed double bed rooms. They put a request in the computer but I was doubtful it would happen. When we checked in, we had the double bed rooms and they were next to each other on the same floor. I was so pleased. The rooms were clean, showers and beds are heavenly!!
We love to stay at the Westin so we can walk to the Red's games. Very convenient.

First thing we experienced was two dogs (assume staying in the hotel). I really don't have a problem with this until we check in and go to the elevator and there is a small dog mess in front of the elevator - turned me off immediately!!!! Clean up after your dog or, since the hotel allows dogs (assuming) - have your cleaning crew take care of it. Disgusting. Came down stairs after getting ready and sadly, it was still there. Come on!!! Upon returning after dinner - gone (thank you!)
The room itself was nice and big, beds comfortable - but I kept wondering if a dog had been in there in the past and did the same thing on that floor (left my socks on just in case).
