I have stayed at this Westin several times. On my last visit I was disappointed to know that the main restaurant was only open for breakfast. So, dinner in the hotel was limited to room service or dinner in the bar. The food this trip was subpar compared to previous meals.

Wife and I stayed here as we were in town to see Wicked.. staff here were amazing!!...from the housecleaning staff to the bartenders... all were friendly and more than accomodating. Oh and if you stay here, be sure to order a Bloody Mary from the bar... they are amazing!!

The thermostat really didn't work even after turning the temperature to 58F. I thought it was only my room by my other 2 colleagues didn't sleep well either in their rooms as the temperature was too hot. Old hotel with an old hotel smell.
The fitness center was nice.

We booked two rooms while on the road to Columbus. Without a call or a request the staff put us in beautiful corner adjoining rooms. The room was so large that it was almost too large for the remote to work. Absolutely a great night's stay. Westin is worth the money.

Wonderful Starwood property in an historic building, excellent staff with doormen and reception -- all of whom couldn't be nicer, especially to our traveling with a small dog. There is even a bowl of water and biscuits with doggie paw prints in front of the entrance.

I have stayed in this hotel frequently, always looking forward to my arrival. But steadily, the hotel has fallen short in several categories. The rooms are inconsistent and growing worn, but the service has become the most troubling aspect. -- particularly the bar.

This is a beautiful historical building with far more character than a typical hotel. The room was huge and had lots of windows. It was also clean and comfortable. The staff was very hospitable and made us feel welcome. I would highly recommend The Westin Columbus.

This was a last minute reservation and I couldn't have been happier. The staff was incredibly nice and very helpful. I ordered room service and asked the gentleman if there was anything I "had to have." He recommended the risotto and it was amazing.

This hotel has character. The staff exceeded all of our expectations. We were they for our sons wedding and it was truly amazing to have everything right there. The wedding, then cocktails, then the reception. We are from out of town and not driving was wonderful.

The manager made sure my son who was arriving before me could check in early and it was so nice of him! The room was spacious, clean & so comfortable. I cant say enough about the Westin & the staff. I will always stay here when visiting Columbus. Thank you!

This hotel is not in keeping with the Westin name. The rooms and especially the bathrooms are below average. And the hotel lights up the outside all night long. If your room faces out, it is impossible to sleep because the shades do not keep the spotlights out.

Awesome ballroom, very awesome wedding staff made for a memorable weekend. The hotel itself is older, and some of the rooms can be sort of small, but we believe the place has character, and a little bit of history. Good food and good service in the cafe also.

This hotel has been updated and the lobby makes you feel like you are in a museum. The rooms and especially the beds are very comfortable. We had a lovely weekend staying at the Westin. They also hire competent and friendly people.

This Westin did not have the comfortable heavenly beds, linens, and pillows as others do. These items were old. The flat sheet on the mattress was short, exposing the mattress pad. The linens did not feel or smell clean.
Rooms were old and musty smelling.

Staff is very friendly and provided good service. However, the restaurant kitchen is slow, does not get orders right. The room was claustrophobic, some room amenities were missing, and the bed was not comfortable. But how was the play, Mrs. Lincoln?

I was disappointed in this hotel. I think they were under-staffed for such a busy weekend. Had to wait a long time for any service (bar, restaurant, front desk). The plugs in our room (bathroom and desk) did not work properly (very loose - had to hold the plug in while using or else it would fall out). After the first night, we asked if we could move to a new room. They said yes and that they would call us as soon as the new room was clean & ready. They never called. After 5 hours, I went down to ask for an update and there was a new person at the desk and they did not know anything about it. The fire alarm went off about 11pm on Saturday night, but stopped after about 1 minute.... so, not sure what happened. I asked the next morning and the person had no idea. I have stayed at other Westin's, and have always had a good experience. Also, my room had peeling paint on the ceiling and walls and was very dim (even with all lights on). It was also extremely small. This hotel did not meet the Westin standard that I have experienced elsewhere.

I was unfortunately visiting the day before Halloween and on Halloween. There was a party of children there that made the stay very, very, very unpleasant. They ran through the halls constantly in underclothes. The fire alarm was also pulled.

I parked my car at the back. The fee for parking was $40. There was a valet bill for additional $20 and I did not not use the valet. Staff is impossible to talk to. Additional $10 a night for wifi, what is that? Even a rundown motel gives out free wifi.

I was disappointed overall. Room very large, bu VERY dated. TV was way too small to even watch from the bed. Heater makes so much noise it wakes you in the night. Staff very focused on their chores, not too much on guests.

We were in town for the Columbus marathon. Our hotel reservations got mixed up at another hotel. Your front desk staff went out of their way to get us a room for the night before marathon so my husband could get a good nights sleep. Room was beautiful.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel, however, is old and dirty. The carpets in the hallways were very dirty. The bathroom was very dirty. The shower had a lot of mold and was just plane dirty.
The room was small but comfortable.

We were traveling with small children and needed to check in promptly. After a long wait past the check in time by at least 30-45 minutes we were told our rooms were still not ready and staff did not feel this was an issue they should address.

the hotel is beautiful historic building, problems is that my room was small, chair had tears in it, bed looked slept in and hotel did not recognize my SPG status.
It is OK at best, if you dont mind small space and I mean small it is ok.

What a stressful experience! The hotel was under staffed to handle the multiple large groups this weekend. From the restaurant to bellhop, they created undue stress on our party! The rooms, once we finally got them, were beautiful.

There was nothing wrong with my stay at Westin, but it was disappointing to discover some of the extra fees that I did not anticipate. $22/day for valet parking with no lot to self-park was annoying, but I can handle it.
I'm extremely disappointed in the misrepresentation the website made at the time of my booking to say that internet would be included for free. I booked a room with a Queen size bed. There were two options: a larger room OR a one with less square footage but the booking site said it included free internet. I selected the smaller room because I knew I would need the internet over the course of my stay.
Well, it turns out this was merely a sham. I ended up with the smaller room AND had to pay for the internet. The internet wasn't included in the price of my room and when I inquired with the front desk they said nothing showed up in my room reservation regarding it. I'd think I must have misread the booking site, except I have a few other friends who stayed at Westin and made the same selection - and none of us received the free internet.

This hotel needs to upgrade the gym among other things. It was laud and I could hear the people next door as if they were in my room. The room was very very tiny and I don't think I'd be staying here again.

We were excited to spend our anniversary weekend at this historic hotel and go to the local show (George Strait) this past weekend. We drove 7 hours and arrived on Friday evening around 6:00. The concierge did not know about the show or of any places to eat in the area and told us most places would be full due to the Valentine's holiday. No problem. We ate in the hotel restaurant. The food was ok and the server, while attentive, was also pretty clueless about the area. The first night was terrible! The noise in the hallways and through the walls was unbearable. We could hear people screaming and yelling through doors and running up and down the hallway. The next morning we ordered room service and all the food was cold when it came to the room. We ate anyway so as not to complain. When we went to the lobby, we mentioned the noise from the night before and it was met with a condescending tone. We were told there was a large wedding party and a volleyball tournament. No problem. When we said it was our anniversary, couldn't they put us on a floor where the wedding party wasn't? The next night was even louder than the first. We slept so unfit that we arose early and left before checkout and drove for over an hour east before we stopped for breakfast. Very disappointed in this experience at the Westin.

This hotel is old, my room was cramped, needs painting in several public areas, the bartender was pathetically inept at the bar, the location is in decaying part of town. They need to take the Name Westin off it.
