Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Stay Overall Recently stayed 4 nights for a conference and was very impressed by the updates / renovations. The room and lobby decor was very tasteful and well done. Our bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom were very nice. Our 5th floor view of the beach was perfect. The food that was served at breakfast and both our buffet and plated dinner was very good considering the quantity. The pool and beach front were both very nice and the poolside staff was very accommodating. Check in was quite a drawn out process, much to be expected on a Saturday. My only real problem was the complete lack of cell phone service on the property which made keeping tabs on business virtually impossible. June 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best resort on Hilton Head! This resort is outstanding! I have been staying at this resort for over 20 years and it is in the best condition that it has ever been. The recent renovations have made this resort a 5 diamond resort. They have added an outdoor bar that is absolutely amazing. The staff that are at the resort make you feel as if you are at home. Chris in the front office really cares about every guests experience he goes above and beyond to make sure every guest at the resort is having an outstanding stay. I would recommend this resort without reservation. You will have an outstanding stay! June 14, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by The fabulous reborn Westin at Hilton Head Bravo and Kudos to the great renovation project. Everything seems more modern, but still polished and relaxed. We had great experiences with the staff - and a particular shout-out to Danielle at Splash and Freddy, the banquet and food manager. Both were friendly, welcoming and open to fun conversation. Our AC, unfortunately, was on the fritz. We had it fixed the first night and didn't bother the second night. It was uncomfortable. Also, as a heads-up, in the digital age, a guest's stay truly depends on the strength and quality of the wifi. Sad but true. The wifi was inadequate and hard to sync to with mobile devices including our ipads. This was difficult and I hope can be resolved for future visits. Bottom line is that this is our FAVORITE Westin and we will be back time and time again. June 12, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by This hotel is lacking in service The hotel looks great as it just completed a renovation, however, the overall service is lacking. We had roaches in our room and called and visited the front desk. We heard several different stories, but the bottom line is nothing was done about the roaches. Also, if you advertise for business meetings, make sure you have a supplemental antenna system so guests can use their cell phones. We had no coverage thoughout most of the hotel. June 13, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Billing was unacceptable wi-fi was weak Our view of the ocean was not as stated In the confirmation , we were billed for phone calls we did not make, I am a disabled Vietnam vet (USMC) and where our room was located made it difficult to get around. June 10, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful Anniversary Trip My wife and I recently celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary together at the Westin Hilton Head. It was our first vacation in years, and we didn't know what to expect. We were first greeted by Hannah at the front desk. She was warm, pleasant, and professional. She took the time to give us a personal tour of the beautiful facilities, and was absolutely delightful. She also helped to upgrade us to an Ocean View room since it was our anniversary, and the room was truly amazing. We had a minor issue with the air conditioning unit during the middle of the night, and Gary at the front desk went out of his way to correct the problem for us. Maintenance was dispatched to correct the problem immediately, and we felt Gary was a hero for helping us to resolve the issue at 4:00 in the morning. We indulged ourselves at the amazing onsite Spa facilities, and we received first rate service from Jeremy at the Spa reception desk. He helped us get the appointment times that worked best for us, and more importantly he had an excellent sense of humor. The pool area was fantastic, and that is where we spent most of our time. The pools were large, clean, and they had both sun and shade sitting options available. The pool staff was wonderful as well, especially Katie who took time to get to know us while we spent hours at the pool. She went out of her way to spoil us, and to make sure we did not want for anything food and drink wise. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a beautiful getaway. The facilities are of course first rate, but it is the wonderful staff that truly helps to make this a special place. June 6, 2013
