I've stayed at this hotel a few times. On my last time there, I managed to reserve one night earlier than I intended without realizing it. I approached the front desk and when I said my name, I got this, "Mr. ______, we had you booked for yesterday. Let me make that change for you." That was it. My mistake but they fixed it or me effortlessly. Very much appreciated. There were at least three other instances of the team going a step beyond for us while there, and always with a smile.

My family ( 12 of us ) was in Houston for a Wedding and I had reserved 3 of the Parlor Rooms for the weekend. My wife, daughters and grandkids arrived on Thursday, and were told that they would keep the same room for the following 2 nights. When I arrived on Friday, we were told at check in that we would need to change rooms. This required that my wife and I pack my 2 daughters and grandkids luggage and personal items as they had left the hotel to see friends. This had to be done immediately as the room had to be made ready for another guest. We also had rooms on 3 different floors, rather than together as requested. The room change was unnecessary and forced us to change our plans on Friday afternoon.
We like the hotel and location and the parlor room setup is ideal for our family. Still had a good time and the staff as always was very helpful.

I CALLED THE HOTEL LAST WEEK AND ASK IF THE SWIMMING POOL WAS AVAILABLE AND WAS TOLD YES, HOWEVER WHEN I WENT TO GO SWIM LAPS THE SIGN STATED UNDER REPAIR. I WNET TO THE DESK AND AKS THE PERSON THERE AND THEY KNEW NOTHING ABOUT. SEEING I SWIM LAPS EVERYDAY AT HOME I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO CONTINUING MY ROUTINE. I WAS THERE FOR 3 DAYS AND FOUND OUT AFTER THE FACT THAT IT WAS OPEN BACK UP LATE YESTERDAY. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE KNOWING THAT. HAD I KNOW IN ADVANCE I WOULD HAVE STAYED AT ANOTHER HOTEL WITH A POOL. PLEASE RESPOND BACK TO ME BY EMAIL OR CALL MY CELL PHONE AFTER 3:30PM.

The lady that checked us in was very sweet. She sent us a bottle of champagne to celebrate our anniversary. Thank you so much for taking care of us! Sorry I couldn't remember her name.

I stay at the Westin frequently and am a gold member.
When I checked in the front desk did not offer me an upgrade or a room on the SPG floor. I asked for a king bed, she said none was available but my coworker - who is not a gold member was upgraded right before to a king.
I might stay at the other Westin in Houston galleria mall next time . . .

Poor Check-In Staff - inflated sense of self. Female night manager was interested and responsive. Male day management (2) was nonresponsive, seemed poorly trained and nervous of making decisions. Thank goodness for the morning Concierge and Security or the stay would have been a total disaster. Hotel location is excellent. Facilities are excellent. Rooms are getting dated and worn.

The Westin at Galleria has a great location
It's a decent value at conference rate.
It's very nice to walk around mall and also,be very close to so many restaurants and activities.

This hotel needs serious improvements on quality of guest service and cleanness. We used spg points to stay one night at a suite at this hotel. When we made a reservation, we requested a crib. We checked in at 615pm (which is 3 hours later than normal check in time) and requested crib once again at check in. And yet we still had to wait over an hour to get a crib, and the crib was finally delivered to the room close to 730 pm after making 2 more phone calls to the guest service. The lady who delivered the crib had some serious attitude, but by then I was too busy getting over tired crying baby to sleep to care. Also, when we arrived at our room, there was left over pizzas and glasses outside our room. This leftover room service items were never cleaned (even though we had a lady from guest service delivering the crib), and were still there when we checked out the next day. Absolutely disgusting. Another complaint we had was the cleanness of the refrigerator in the room we used to store our baby's milk. We did not see how dirty it was the first day because it was dark in the room when we opened it to put milk in. The next day when we opened it again to get the milk, we finally saw how filthy it was. Never would have used it if i knew how dirty it was. Inside of the fridge was covered with coke or some kind of dark brown sticky stuff everywhere. Disgusting. Definitely does not meet the Westin standards, or ANY decent hotel or even a motel standards. Lastly, yesterday we found out we were charged money for our stay. We had to call to get the refund. We have been a loyal spg member for over ten years, and this stay was very much disappointing.
