Rated 5 out of 5 by Lissy Great location/ views and good nights sleep
We stay at many Westin Hotels and this was typical to other hotels in terms of room comfort and service. Beds very comfortable and views at higher floors great. loved that they put us on a Starwood Preferred floor- made us feel special. Gym has good equipment but somewhat small for hotel size- often crowded even at 6 AM.

The Westin is situated in the heart of down town, surrounded by everything. Almost everything is in walking distance.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Mary28 The hotel is miserable in the wind
The room was extremely noisy because it was windy. We were on the 24th floor and could not sleep at all because of the creaking and noises. We wanted to go to the restaurant but it was closed until the following day- it would have been nice to have known that when we booked. Parking fee was outrageous for a hotel guest.

The location was excellent, however, the fact that an Airport Shuttle was not provided was appalling. Also, for the price we paid for the room, the cable service on the TV was terrible. This hotel was charging $5.00 for movies 5+ years old! The view was great, but I would not stay here again, or recommend it to others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CdeL Great Location! Great Views!
We loved staying here. It was so easy to do everything Seattle has to offer and we had spectacular views from our room. We were so close to the Light Link Rail, the Monorail and the metro system. The only drawback was that the indoor pool/jacuzzi room was not well ventilated and the room was positively eye stinging!

Not only have I enjoyed this wonderful hotel on several visits to Seattle, but i have now "converted" several co-workers who now will always stay here while in Seattle. Accommodations and service are top-notch!

This is our second time here and all expectations were met. The concierge Judy was especially helpful and friendly, we were blown away by her customer service - top notch. Would definitely stay here again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Carmen5 Expected more for the price!
One of the least expensive rooms, a standard king room (king bed), is extremely expensive, and you don't really even get a real view... You get a partial view between buildings. You do however get a view of other people through their windows... You also have to pay between $43 and $46 dollars (self park or valet) PER NIGHT!!..to park your car at the hotel or $25 at the parking garage next door!! Ridiculous!! The room and parking is so expensive, you might want to bring food (leftovers) back to your room, just to save a little money, but there's no microwave or refrigerator in the room??? We never ate at the restaurant at the hotel...it was like $21 for a salad with chicken...also ridiculous!! No complimentary robe, poor water pressure in the shower (they said it's suppose be like a natural rain shower or something silly like that??). All you really get for that price is a bed, bathroom and a coffee maker. The hotel was understaffed..2 people checking in and out a long line of people at noon (checkout time). They had 4? or 5 elevators, but I don't think they had them all working at one time, because it took a ridiculously long time to wait for an elevator. I just expected better for the price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Goldmark27 Room wonderful but especially liked...
The bathroom mirror! Lighted, yes, but the magnified extended mirror attached to the wall is something I've been hoping for at hotels all my adult life. Thank you! And the soundproofing is awesome. Had to leave a bath light on tho after drawing the drapes. The room was definitely designed for uninterrupted slumber!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Johnnyboy78 Long elevator lines and too tough to get to pool
Elevator wait times seemed very excessive, especially in the north tower. It took us nearly 40 minutes to get from the south tower to the pool on both occasions we went to it. We gave up on the elevators and went up the stairs only to get to the floor with the pool and find the stairs door locked, give me a break!

This hotel is very well-located within Seattle. Right near Westlake Center and monorail to Seattle Center, downtown shopping all around and walking distance to Washington State Convention Center.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mhapac Staff Make the Difference
The Westin Support Staff - hostess, housekeeping, and Concierge Desk staff made my stay what it was. They all provided excellent service, and above all else, were very personable. "Rachel", a hostess, gave me great advice re: local attractions and places to visit, which was above and beyond her responsibilities.

Location is great for Pike Place Market, train to Airport or the Seattle Mariners games or the Space Needle only a block plus away. Concierge sent us to a great place for a wonderful steak & seafood dinner. All the staff were helpful and courteous at all times. Pool was warm and jacuzzi was hot.

When we arrived at the hotel I knew we were going to have a great time. Richard at the consierge desk made it all happen. His recommendations kept us busy for the five days there and the stay at the hotel and your city will be remembered for years to come. Thanks from the Fisher and Nial Families..............

Rated 4 out of 5 by md925 Great Staff, Somewhat Dated Hotel
The staff was very friendly and welcoming -- from the helpful people at the curb, to the reception associate who was very accomodating, and the cleaning lady. Our room was clean and spacious; however, the hotel seems a bit dated. While the carpets in the public areas appeared clean, they looked worn in areas.

Rated 3 out of 5 by kunger Almost there
While the rooms are nice and the view is fantastic, the service - although friendly - is missing. The same requests had to be repeated, room keys were constantly de-magnatizing (requiring treks to the FD only to wait in line for 15 minutes) and the kitchen hours were too short and far too strictly adhered to.

The hotel location is walking distance to every place I visited. However, my bed in 1838 has a hole on the right side and every night I slept diagonally to balance me off without falling on one side. My disposable coffee cup in my room has some splatter spots and seems not change from the previous occupant.

Upon arriving from airport at about 5:30 p.m., the cb driver unloaded the 4 suitcases. There were two employees in black shirts & pants leaning against the wall talking. My wife and I stood there for a few moments and then waved at that them One finally came over and said "Are you checking in? Want some help with your luggage?" Uh, yeah.
Upon going to room it had not been made up, beds slept in, towels all over, etc. Called the front desk and they said they'd send up housekeeping. I said no, I wanted a different room. It was quickly remedied and as we stepped into the hall the Bellman was there with our luggage (different guy than downstairs, dressed a bit nicer) and he took care of everything; took us to our new room and then went down & then went down and brought us our keys.
We had taken two drinks from the bar to our room - the glasses were still there after the room had been 'cleaned' the next day.
But, nice hotel, mostly helpful staff, sure is convenient to everything.

So close to light rail, monorail and buses. Getting to the Safeco field was a breeze. We would definitely stay at the Seattle Westin again. Our 19th floor room had a wonderful view and our housekeeper was so lovely and incredibly cheerful and friendly. Thanks Westin for making our Seattle stay so enjoyable.

This Westin Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way..It was beautiful, the rooms were comfortable and roomy, and the beds were so dreamy, we did not want to get out of them in the mornings...The views on the 29th floor were exceptional: the morning ocean views and downtown evening views were spectacular

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sakai Concierge was outstanding
Judy was an outstanding contributor to our stay with right on suggestions and tireless in making our reservations right. The front desk staff was uncommonly helpful (I am a Gold client) and I think that they help make our stay wonderful.
The hotel's location was perfect to all our first time visitor stay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TravelDog101 A nice stay
Very nice and clean facility. Wonderful view of downtown Seattle from my 19th floor room. Staff was very friendly. No soda machines available, had to go to a nearby convenience store. I was there for a conference, and everyone in the group had good things to say about the facility. Elevators are very slow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BrentB A lovely stay
We were there just one night but it was perfect. The bed was extremely comfortable and the view from the 29th floor was wonderful, overlooking the heart of downtown Seattle. Amazingly enough, despite being downtown, the room was silent. Definitely a place I will revisit next time I need to stay in Seattle.

The staff tried very hard to deal with air-conditioning that did not work properly, the TV that did not work properly, and the telephone that did not work properly.
The bed was excellent and it was very clean.

Rated 2 out of 5 by starviewcruiser This hotel needs more elevators
We stayed here for one night prior to our Alaska cruise. Unfortunately, there was a convention going on at the same time. The hotel was quite noisy as one would expect from a convention but the real issue was with the elevators. The wing we stayed in was 40 floors (we were on the 37) & there were only 2 elevators working. With the convention crowd it was customary to wait at least 10 minutes for an elevator (which would then stop on every floor) & was not unusual to wait much longer. On our departure day I was very thankful we were on the 37th floor because we only had to wait 15 minutes for an elevator. When we stopped on all of the lower floors & had no room for any of the guests, we heard some of them had been waiting over 1/2 hour & still no luck finding one with room. Most had resorted to sitting on the floor to wait. The room was nice, beds were OK but pillows were awful & lumpy & had no pillow protectors. I am appalled that a brand like Westin would not have pillow protectors as a standard. I actually removed the pillow cases from 2 of the pillows so I could double up to close the ends. Great location, close to Pike Place Market but wouldn' stay again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Flaphil Great location, average room
Good location for downtown, but the overall hotel look and feel is jaded. Three small drawers in a bedroom to store clothes is very poor, along with one very small piece of soap per night..comes across cheap. If you are a business traveller, pack extension cords, lack of convenient plugs for recharging.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Trailrunner17 Within walking distance of business and tourist sites
The location of the hotel is excellent if you are attending a convention. You can walk to the Convention Center, Pike Street Public Market, and Seattle Center. The rooms are nice, albeit the walls are "thin" and the traffic is audible.
Hotel dining is overpriced and internet is not free in your room.

Rated 4 out of 5 by whydoineedanickname What kind of closet was that?
Loved the view. Nice room, lobby, helpful front desk staff. But what kind of closet was that? I could barely hang a blouse with both a safe and a tiny (did I say tiny) chest of drawers in the closet. No way I could hang a pair of pants, a dress, or a coat. I ended up using chairs as "my closet". Sigh.

I made a reservation for four couples. Upon arrival and our four night stay there was not a more happy group! The rooms were clean and accommodating. The views from the rooms were super, the service and staff was wonderful, the beds were super comfy. The location downtown is the best. All left happy!
