Rated 2 out of 5 by Poor customer service As a Platinum member I have never been so poorly treated. The staff was terse, rude and completely unhelpful. I was not the only one who experienced this as other travelers in my party received the same poor service. The accommodations were adequate, but the lack of customer service will prevent me from staying at this property in the future. May 6, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good location, nice staff i stayed in the club floor, staff were excellent in the 21st floor! but sadly i can't early check-in and had to wait from 6am to 2pm for my room. this is extremely tired to wait at the club lounge during my overnight flight can't slept very well. anyway everything was good! nice beach with good cabana. good location, only 10mins walk to DFS. Rated 5 out of 5 by Information Our stay was wonderful with a clean room, fasntastic food and great service for the most part. I was quite disappointed, since we were traveling with two young children, to not have been told about the coin laundry on the 6th floor. I had previously called to request information about coin laundry services in the Tamuning area, but the person at the front desk was not very helpful. The person who was was Lena in the front with her help with taxi information and a warm welcome! We also applaud Rogelio, one of the servers at the buffet in the Taste. He made our 9 days in Guam personal and was always on top of helping us with great service and a smile. We had to call housekeeping since our hairdryer broke and a few other times since we requested new sheets and a blanket. One of our little ones had an accident on the bed; however, we found the blanket had not been changed but just the sheets were although we had made a specific request. Despite these hiccups, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Westin and would recommend this beautiful hotel to our friends. Thank you. March 15, 2013

Rated 2 out of 5 by Fading Westin Hotel I am writing this from my hotel room now- I travel a lot for work and stay at the various Westin locations when I can. This is one of the worst Westin hotels I've stayed at. Hotel rooms need to be updated and the staff better trained. The only good part about the hotel is that it is right on the beach and the water is pristine. When you arrive, the hotel lobby looks grand but it all goes downhill from there. During check-in, when I asked if there were any upgrades available the check-in staff informed me that I was already upgraded to a "king bed", uuhh, that was what I booked! Westin Guam, how about training your staff to not fib about fake upgrades? The rooms are quite old and need to be updated. Bathroom shower door leaks when you're showering and by the time you're done, there's a big puddle of water on the bathroom floor. Beds are very soft and cave in. As a Platinum member, I was given access to the lounge. The lounge is tiny compared to other club lounges and there are not enough seats. The food spread is subpar to most lounge food. This morning, the coffee machine jammed about 3 times and took over 15 mins to get coffee! I would say that the service is below average for hotel that is category 4. January 27, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good but... Niice hotel. Good location, very good walking score=close to much of the Tumon action. Problem= details. The blackout curtains allow for light to come in the window at night in the middle because they are either torn or worn. Lots of light comes under the door at night (we used a towel to block). LOTS of noise from the busses that run ALL NIGHT including loud engines, back up beeping. The towels are a bit old and worn. The A/C either cranked cold air or was off, never found the middle ground in 5 nights. The pools need serious filtering as both pools were quite cloudy all 5 nights. But, the room was nice, bedding nice, view nice even tho only a partial ocean. June 29, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Below my expectations Please check with your manager Mr. Katsura, he has the details. He was trying his best to recover what the staffs have damaged the hotel reputation. One extra thing I haven't told him, I requested 4pm checkout but the staffs deactivated our cards at 2pm. It caused me a lot of hassles to go up and down from 21/F. Also, when I asked about the airport transfer the staff said it's 15 USD. It supposed to be free, they didn't check properly. I have to tell different staffs twice within 5 mins for this matter. Praise for the driver, Michael. He understands everything and provided us a pleasant ride to the airport. July 18, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not up to expectation Stayed 2 nights in RBC room.Generally, this hotel location is ok, beach & pool is clean.However, I am not happy with the fact that the hotel said they offer free shuttle service to various hopping center but have to book 24 hours in advance and even I tried booking 24 hours in advance, the shuttle is full to go anywhere and I can't use the shuttle at all. This is just a small island and transport can be arranged easily. I don't understand why 24 hours in advance and even that the service couldn't be provided. Then pleae don't list it as a service when cannot be provided so that the guest won't have expectation. June 29, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Laundry I come to Guam for work, and always enjoy staying here. This particular time, I am on an extended stay. On my day off, I like to do my own laundry in the hotel and save a few bucks. Out of the 3 machines you have available, 2 are not functioning, and the one that is has a line of 4 people waiting to use it. When I mentioned this issue to your staff, they gladly pointed out where the nearest laundromat is located. Wow. One of the benefits of doing laundry in the hotel is being able to relax and do my work. There was no hint about the machines being repaired soon, or what we could do to make up for the inconvenience. Guess I need to pack an extra suitcase on my next trip, or start looking for an alternative place to stay for my company. June 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This is a great resort hotel This is a great getaway holiday destination; unfortunately I was there on business. I thought business people can be vultures in the Platinum Lounge...package tourists can be worse. In any case, the staff and the facilities and the service are excellent. I was upset that as a Platinum member I still had to pay US$15 if I wanted to have breakfast in the main dining room instead of in the Lounge (where the breakfast choice was rather minimal). It would be nice to see the hotel separate its Lounge users between Platinum Member users, and those that whose use of the lounge comes with the room they booked or via the package tour organizer who booked it for them. IN any case, I did not see any other lounge user that I would have guessed was there on business. July 6, 2014

The other nice feature was the quite HVAC unit. Didn't even notice it was running. So with all that had a restful nights sleep. August 12, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Beautiful Hotel but indifferent staff This hotel is one of the best in Guam, in terms of its location and its facilities. The room we stayed in was well-appointed, and the bed indeed offered us very good sleep. The breakfast was also delicious with a nice variety. However, besides the people working at the entrance (luggage room), I find the rest of the staff (from the check-in counter, the concierge, to the restaurant waiters) a bit stiff and seemed to be a bit annoyed whenever I approached them. This isn't to say they don't do their jobS right, it's just that they seem to take their work only as a job and make no extra effort to make guests feel at home. I also find it extremely odd that there isn't any booklet inside the guest room regarding hotel facilities, which makes it quite confusing. Oh, and we also saw a cockroach right next to the dining area... I know it's normal in tropical climate, but... July 7, 2014

The buffet dinner was delicious and the room was updated and comfortable. The beach and snorkeling were world class. I would recommend this hotel highly. July 26, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Next door to Zombie Village I favor this hotel as one of my top 3 picks for the entire island. Nice beach, excellent food from either room service or my favorite onsite restaurant 'Taste". Just one of the Jacuzzi & one pool with grotto used to be kept reserved for adults only - no kids, but now that sign has been taken down and rowdy kids (diapers & all) can be found floating in every pool on the resort. I miss having a pool reserved for adults only. On my last two visits I could not get the AC unit to cool the room. You can make adjustments on the thermostat but the temperature never cooled down and the room could get really warm during the sunny part of the day. Also had a hard time cooling off the room after I took a shower. I'm beginning to suspect that the AC units have an economy setting that saves the hotel some money but does not provide comfort unless you are already adjusted to the warm & humid local climate. However when you compare this hotel to all the others on the island, it still remains in my top three choices. Try a Seabreeze at the pool bar and you'll be feeling just fine! July 26, 2014

Could not find anyone to help me get a taxi to get back to the airport. After approaching three, a Japanese lady behind the Reception desk tried hard to help me. July 21, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by This hotel have nicebeach and water pool facilities but not good internal Hotel require maintenance repairing and to change maintenance approach absolutely. Air conditioning in bathroom is not working. Room T did not reduce +25C even maximum level of a/c device was switch. Ants, some duty in corridors, etc. No good control for every day cleaning...Some walkway in L level is not safe May 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Highly Recommended Great Platinum recognition. Always given a suite. Picked me up and dropped me off at the airport on time. Friendly check-in. Lounge food could be improved. Also, disappointed that pastries were not served from 8 pm - 10 p.m. as expected. Friendly staff. Lovely room. Unfortunately no wi-fi in room. Look forward to going back. January 31, 2013
