Fantastic service, and a special thank you to the Chef (Daniel Jager) who upon hearing about my food allergy went out his way to make gluten free bread to have with my breakfast. I could not have been more grateful. I'll definitely be back.

I spent 20 mins yesterday talking with the duty manager about the problems with our stay. She rebated the service charge. Now you send me this!!

Nice attractive property to look at but don't expect much platinum recognition. No recognition at check in or upgrade offer. Couldn't even get a room with a city view. Staff could hardly speak English. No response from front desk manager on room issues. Not a good first impression for SPG properties in Tokyo.

Very nice hotel a grand lobby nice rooms. But there were a few things that I did not like my biggest was a $110 charge for a 17 min international phone call wow. I know Tokyo is expensive but come on that is beyond rich. I also did not care for breakfast buffet not up to the standard of a 5 star hotel.
I had an issue with the Spa and the front desk took care of me and I thank them for that.
Sometimes when things dont go well they snowball that's what this hotel felt like for me.

Coming to Japan for my honeymoon, Tokyo was my first stop. The hotel certainly doesn't give you the wow effect, but I liked the overall design, not too modern, classy even. Fairly distant to Ebisu train station/subway - easily a 10-15 minute walk going up and down. Breakfast is amazing, totally worth it. Rooms were comfortable, however I had a note in my reservation asking for a early check-in. Our suite wasn't ready and ended up in a regular room. No big deal, if not by the fact we had to change rooms 3 times in a 4 nights stay. Not-upgraded, upgraded to a suite, downgraded to a regular room. Considering I had to pack and repack, that ruined my stay in a way.

This is a fairly expensive hotel compared to other SPG alternatives in Tokyo, however it is easily one of the best hotels under the SPG banner in all of Asia.
The service is fantastic and the food is even better. I have always been upgraded to a suite with only 2 exceptions in over 20 stays in the past 3 years.
It also features one of the best serviced Platinum lounges I've ever visited. The only downside to it is that it can get pretty busy on any given night.
However, although the location is great, it is about a mile walk to the nearest JR station which makes train/subway travel a little inconvenient. It's too short to take a taxi and just too far for a comfortable walk.
All other aspects of the hotel meet or exceed the Category 6 expectations.

I stayed on 8/31 to 9/2. As I check in at the front desk, a man was helping me, I asked information about 2 things: 1. I need timetable for Narita Express to go to airport, he gave me the time table but I couldn't find the right time that match my flight, he suggested me to take taxi to the airport, after I am settled with my room, I went back to the front desk to book for airport taxi, this time was a lady helping me, she told me that the time table I got was not current anymore 2008 version, so she has to print out the current one for me, I hate to got wrong information on the first place, but glad it fixed and I found the match Narita Express time with my flight., My 2nd. question was. when & how to visit Tsukiji market for fish's auction, this is my MAIN reason in visiting Tokyo, he told me to leave hotel the next day at very early morning at 4am. When I went back to the front desk to book for an early morning taxi for Tsukiji and this time was a different lady helping me, I asked the same question, she suggested me to leave the hotel even earlier at 3:30 am by taxi and gave me the form to give it to taxi driver. The next day, I woke up early at 2:30 am with my son and took a taxi at 3:30am and show the taxi driver the form I got from front desk, he looked confused, he drove and stopped back at the hotel and talked to the hotel bell man, he told us that Tsukiji market was closed for auction on Sunday! This is awfull, how could so many front desks employee that were helping me with so many wrong informations??? Very un-acceptable for Westin Hotel Standard And it is NOT FUN at all to woke up that early with so much hope to see the auction and found out it closed. I hope other guests do not have the same experience with me. I could recommend other to stay at this hotel for the excellent room condition only.
