Rated 1 out of 5 by Terrible Service I am very disappointed with SPG and the service in this property. For the BAD: 1. Bell Staff only wants tips and try to use 2 persons to get more tips 2. Room service demanded a tip from my wife all the time but the bill had already service charge 3. Check was terrible as they try to put SPG member in a low floor with terrible views, I did get a high floor after complaining to them 4. I was promised the option to extend my stay at the same rate but when I called to extend they did not honor this and charged me more. 5. email bill, in Spanish and Q with no reference to exchange rate or a way to check the charges For the GOOD: 1. Rated 4 out of 5 by quick overnight We had an early flight in the morning so stayed here overnight. Great location near the airport. Hotel is lovely - nice furnishings. Room was big, shower was excellent, bed was comfy. Slept well. My only complaint - get more staff! Annoyingly long wait in the restaurant for some food because there were only 2 waitresses running around trying to serve everyone. I did notice a couple (male) hosts sitting around not doing much so not sure why they couldn't take orders or anything... regardless these two poor women were trying their hardest. This really left a sour taste in my mouth and would actually make me consider not coming back. You HAVE to take care of your staff. July 31, 2016

Rated 3 out of 5 by It's okay, needs work The hotel itself is okay. Beautiful lobby area, the room is average, but a bit small. I have stayed here numerous times and the staff needs to work on customer service. Just not as friendly as other SPG properties I have stayed at. Did not feel valued at all, especially being a platium member. Will probably stay elsewhere next time I'm in Guatemala. December 27, 2015
