Rated 4 out of 5 by Hotel exceeded my expectations! This was my second stay at this property this year. At check in, I was upgraded to a deluxe room. I asked if a suite was available, and was assigned a wonder one bedroom corner suite on the 6th floor. During my second night, I opened the sofa bed to find it had not been changed from a previous guest's stay. It was quite the thing to see!! After calling Service Express, a roll away cot was brought to the room, which provided a very comfortable sleep. The next day, I received an email from the Housekeeping Manager, a phone call, as well as a visit to the suite to ensure everything had been looked after. I was blown away by the level of follow up this property offered. Everything about this property is excellent. Great check in, recognized my SPG status, upgraded to a suite! The door staff was amazing! Each time I entered the hotel they called me by name, had my car brought up very quickly each time I needed it. I opted for the breakfast as my Platinum gift, which to my surprise was the full buffet, not just the continental as other properties offer. Overall,my 3 nights was perfect, minus the issue with the sofa bed. The Westin Edmonton should be proud of the product they offer. Totally to SPG standards, and you have the best staff in the business! Thank you for a wonder stay! August 15, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Visiting Family The young man working at the front desk (in glasses) was truly kind and so efficient. We checked in July 30-Aug 1. He made our stay amazing. You are truly lucky to have him working at your hotel! Can't wait to come back August 2, 2016

Rated 1 out of 5 by Billing Error Left a voicemail with accounting about a billing error. Actually two billing errors. Still haven't heard back. I booked an online special for a 2nd room at 25% off but paid full price for both. Also as a gold member, if I book online, I am supposed to get free internet, but paid for it twice. Other than proper billing, place is awesome. June 27, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fort McMurray Evacuees When my husband and I checked in the very attentive front desk staff noticed my ID showed Ft MAC address and gave a great rate for the two nights Then going to room later at night was bottle of wine and yummy cheese tray What blew me away was the personal note written to us telling us they are here for us and touched me knowing how going beyond great hospitality was so appreciated May 14, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Hmmmm Staff were uniformly pleasant. Room was large and reasonably well appointed (deluxe king). I elected for the "green"option at check in which in the past elsewhere has meant no towel exchanges, but it apparently means in this hotel that you are hitherto not visited. The coffee/tea was never replaced, and I'm unclear how the miserable cardboard cups (which are not in any case environmentally sustainable as they are NOT recyclable) were supposed to last three full days. Each day I requested at the desk to have the coffee replaced, and each day on return from my worksite I had to call again as it hadn't been done. I eventually requested a real cup, made of other than cardboard, and that took three requests to materialize. Apart from the inefficiencies, the staff were very approachable, and check in/out was very efficient. Unfortunately my "quiet" room, on the second night, was apparently situated next door to "hairdressing central" for the cheerleaders convention so the noise of excited girls and parents, door slamming and running down the corridor started at 6 a.m, lasted until 10 pm. and was accentuated by the neighbours leaving their door open (which they did rectify when asked). Last year (may 2015) a similar 3d stay saw a surgical nursing convention take over the premises and they were a noisy bunch as well late at night. Advice - take earplugs, and avoid on weekends if you can. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that people think of others as sleeping at 3 a.m., as they are talking in loud voices in the corridor when they are having a weekend away and slamming doors - not unique to this hotel however. Rated 1 out of 5 by Horrible Experience I stayed at the Westin from March 11-13. I have stayed here before but this was the worst experience I've ever had. I had an early Saturday business meeting - my breakfast card was on my door at 9pm for pickup to order room service that night. I woke up; found the card still on the door. They had to rush prepare my breakfast (which was late) and then was disgusting. They did credit it off the bill though. The hotel never has enough parking and I ended up in the surface lot most nights. When checking out; I found a ticket on my windshield despite being registered (and having my plate registered). The staff member took a copy of the ticket; but it wasn't really a priority to her to fix. I ended up calling to have it fixed to make sure since the staff couldn't care less. When checking out; food and beverage credits were not added properly and I had to fight to get them put onto the room fee (which I picked the rate I did to include it). I have prepaid for a stay in April for business; but if I could get out of it; I would choose another hotel. Not worthy of the starwood name. March 16, 2016
