Rated 5 out of 5 by Doug1776 the Staff is the Best
My wife is a diplomats daughter. We both agree this is the finest hotel that either of us have stayed at. My wife has been on 5 continents and has requested to come back in about six weeks for her birthday. Emily at the front desk at check in was exceptional.

Once again, Westin Hotel was absolutely awesome. The staff, from the Front Desk to the Cleaning Staff were outstanding. It was great from check-in to check-out. I was there from Nov. 22 - Nov.24. I will be back. Thank you for an incredible experience.

Our meetings were successful on a number of levels and much had to do with the location of this property, it's proximity to the city and the care and attention provided by the staff. Catering provided delicious food, facilities and care of our needs.

Hard to ask for a better location, it is beautiful. The hotel is well appointed and well looked after. Staff were amazing. My room was clean and very comfortable. but most importantly - propably the best nights sleep I've had away from home.

The location of this hotel is fantastic. My room was dirty and the chair inside the room had many stains and needed to be cleaned or removed. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were professional, polite and seemed to enjoy their jobs.

We've stayed several times at the Westin Bayshore and continue to have great experiences each time. From the genuinely friendly and helpful staff to the amazing amenities and location. If you're in Vancouver, the Westin Bayshore is a must.

Comfortable hotel, helpful staff, good buffet, great fitness room and indoor pool, extremely comfy bed!
Some rooms come with a great view, obviously some don't.
The location is great, adjacent to STanley Park, but not really downtown.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Tomrei Most of the hotel needs refurbishment
Rooms in the Main building (not Tower), floors and other public ares need a refurbishment. The location is great, but not the hotel. Breakfast is average on quality, every day the same and could not offer enough seats for the guests.

Recently stayed at this hotel for a week and the staff showed amazing attention to detail and went above and beyond what is expected of the service industry. This combined with the unmatched surroundings made it an excellent stay.

I loved everything about our stay, except the gift shop representative. He was not helpful, would barely respond to our inquiries, and did not provide us a receipt- just said he didn't have one ( we were charging to our room).

Excellent location, very friendly staff, house keeping very good. Amazing view from the "tower" to harbor side. Missing hotel service directory in room. Conference centre in walking distance. Altogether very recommendable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by mal12 The hotel was average
The hotel was aesthetically pleasing. However, at night the windows and walls are not sound proofed. I could hear the fog horn of the boats loud and clear and people's conversations which made my sleep extremely difficult!

Rated 2 out of 5 by nofreewifi2012 No wifi, unless you're sneaky
At a cost of $225 a night, with free wifi available throughout the city, it is shocking that the Bayshore charges another $15 a night for connectivity. Then to add to the issue, 'free' wifi is advertised at checkin, but only for the lobby and restaurants. When I asked about this, I was handed a little slip of paper with login credentials, like the crown jewels. This is an inappropriate business model in 2012. In speaking with others who are SPG members, they said they also had to pay for wifi and were peeved at this.
To test the system, I took my little slip of paper up to my guestroom, and the credentials worked fine there.
Additionally, as a conference exhibitor I had a runaround to get wifi connection there. Once I did, it turned out those credentials also worked throughout the hotel.
The staff was not helpful about this issue, just apologetic. Not their fault. It's a management issue, to be sure.
Finally - a much more minor issue - in such a high end property I'd expect my coffee maker to be cleaned of the previous guests' coffee grounds. Not the case here.

This experience on New Years Eve was awesome. From the ease of checking in to checking out. Better than some 5 star hotels that I have stayed at.
The staff of the hotel was very friendly, and made me very comfortable.

It seems that knowing that you are close to USA and Banks aren't always open that you would try to accomadate close to the exchange rate instead of automayically taking 15% on top of whatever USA money you recieve.

Rated 4 out of 5 by PinksalmonBoston Better be tiny for the shower!
The junior suite was dated, but had just the right amount of space for us- except the bathroom! Really odd layout had a rectangular shower that was 23" deep! My husband measured it as we couldn't believe it...

This hotel is the best choice for anyone staying down town Vancouver. It has all the amenities and the location is perfect. I was only here one night but would stay for a long visit if I got the chance.

They charge a $20+ charge to use the Internet in your room, per day! They also have a $.37.00 parking fee. Basic breakfast was $60.00. So come prepared to pay extra.
Hot tub is also broken.

We had a mini family vacation, loved the ease of access to the harbor and the beautiful view from our room.
Parking is very expensive, $41 for a day, but I guess this is what you get in downtown.

Rated 2 out of 5 by adi1999 Did not live up to SPG standards
We stayed one night here on a spur of the moment trip to Vancouver. We have stayed at the Westin numerous times and have always been blown away by the quality and service. This time was very different. First let me say the location of this hotel is amazing, a great place to stay with a family. We have two boys who really enjoyed the boats and water that surrounds the hotel and they loved the pools, even when it was chilly outside they wanted to be in there. The staff gave us Westin Kids Club bags which they both loved, as well as a free movie. The downside was our room. We were on the 2nd floor and in a corner unit. It was extremely noisy and the people next to us were parting all night long with no warning to be quite, mind you it was 2am and went on for hours. Our room was awful and something I would expect to see in a motel. There were sliding doors to our room which did not close properly therefore allowing cold air in and condensation build up on the windows. There was mold on the curtains and the wallpaper was peeling off. When we told the front desk they said thank you for telling us and that was it.
