We were booked into a tower room. Having stayed last year on the other side, where young girls can be found in every hallway, I completely appreciated the quiet! The tower rooms are much larger, the view was breathtaking, and the room was PERFECT! The close proximity to shopping and Stanley Park made this an ideal location. I think parking prices were a little crazy, but other than that...perfection!

Over all, the staff was amazing and the food was very good, but there were a couple of issues. The room service pizza was very poor, and despite expressing my disappointment with what tasted like a frozen pizza, they did not follow up with me. Upon departure, one staff member plunked my heavy luggage down with a "There ya go" after he brought them from storage. I had interrupted his google image search (the porter was helping someone else), and neither he nor the doorman offered any help as I struggled to get the luggage to my vehicle. It is too bad that these incidents had to blemish an otherwise excellent stay.

Well done, at last the hotel industry is telling the truth - not having your room "serviced" saves the holel running costs. For years hotel chains have been trying to convince us that its all for an environmental cause - whereas in reality I don't believe that has been the driver. For example, if making an "eco" choice cost the hotel money, would this actually get done - I think not. Therefore it was refreshing for this Westin hotel to acknowledge that there is a financial benefit and share some of that saving benefit with the customer/guest. Rewrds for "green choice" was well thought out, appropriate and greatly appreciated. Good work. Just need to get rid of those Halogen heaters in the lobby that happen to produce some light.

We stayed one night here on a spur of the moment trip to Vancouver. We have stayed at the Westin numerous times and have always been blown away by the quality and service. This time was very different. First let me say the location of this hotel is amazing, a great place to stay with a family. We have two boys who really enjoyed the boats and water that surrounds the hotel and they loved the pools, even when it was chilly outside they wanted to be in there. The staff gave us Westin Kids Club bags which they both loved, as well as a free movie. The downside was our room. We were on the 2nd floor and in a corner unit. It was extremely noisy and the people next to us were parting all night long with no warning to be quite, mind you it was 2am and went on for hours. Our room was awful and something I would expect to see in a motel. There were sliding doors to our room which did not close properly therefore allowing cold air in and condensation build up on the windows. There was mold on the curtains and the wallpaper was peeling off. When we told the front desk they said thank you for telling us and that was it.

had a super room on 8th floor of tower overlooking Stanley Park, harbor & boats, North Vancouver and mountains. Room was quiet and comfortable (except we had to have pillows replaced with much smaller soft ones). Staff was wonderful. Only downside was the food was not up to expectations in Seawall. Loved the location--walked along seawall in both directions--had superb weather, too!

We stayed at the Westin Bayside on our recent holiday & absolutely loved it. It was our 1st stop on a six week holiday & got us off too a great start....we couldn't fault the place,great location....in a wonderful City.the whole experience had a great vibe, would stay again in a heartbeat & highly recommend others to do so....was well priced for what you got & we upgraded our room for small charge,well worth it....

Excellent location, very friendly staff, house keeping very good. Amazing view from the "tower" to harbor side. Missing hotel service directory in room. Conference centre in walking distance. Altogether very recommendable.

I have stayed in over 20 different hotels this year alone and have never been a dissapointed as I was with this property. I booked a jr suite room with balcony at a hefty price only to receive the worst room with only a roof top and air conditioning units to view. After seeing the room I went right back to the front desk to let them know how disappointing this room was. I was told it was all they had available. REALLY? I let them know I would find another place to stay only to be told the manager would then speak to me. The manager then tried to upsell me into a suite at $130 more per night! The suite was entirely too big for one person and was not worth the extra expense. I ended up staying in the rooftop air conditioning view room but will ensure this will be my last stay at any Starwood hotel again. I never expect to get something for nothing but I do expect to get what I pay for.

This is a hotel with the best facilities, but the personal and service is under the Westin level. This are small things, but too much not to mention it, from the breakfast service to the printing of the boarding pass.
Otherwise a better view and location you can not find in Vancouver. The rooms are very nice, but the havenly bed is missing
The restaurant and the kitchen is not special, only casual international.

Our stay at the Westin Bayshore was fantastic. We have wonderful bay views of the Harbor out our windows that slid open. Stanley Park where you can take a great bike ride was a walk away. Gas Town is an easy walk for dinner and shopping. The hotel staff was top notch. I can't say enough about the staff, extremely knowledgeable of the area and the most friendly I have met at any Westin. They have set a great standard. Great stay!

Basically I was disappointed at the experience on this downtown Westin, although my bar was raised a bit high because of its price.
* When I entered the lobby (around 9pm), apparently looking for where to check in, no one greet me or helped me.
* When I finally found someone and was pointed to the front desk, no one was present there (around 9pm).
* I can clearly hear people walking and talking in the lobby, or even coughing in their rooms from my room.
* When I was checking in at the front desk, another customer came asking for another room because there was already someone staying in the room he was just assigned. WHAT??? I treat this as the most unprofessional mistake a hotel could ever make -- imagine someone entered your room when you're taking a shower. I was shocked that time. But since I'm not that customer, not sure about the details.
In summary, if a hotel got any one of the negative points mentioned above, I'd vote down against it. Not to mention this is a top-level brand among SPG in downtown area in a big city, which hit four of them. To be honest, this stay disappointed me a lot on Westin the brand, and SPG as well. At least I wouldn't recommend this Westin to my friends.

We had a fantastic time and the staff was really helpful. Because of our SPG status, we were offered a more spacious room for our family of 4. The room was great. Having 2 pools was fantastic, though it was rather awkward walking wet between the two pools, woul be nice if they were more connected. The convention style of hotel made for a less intimate hotel experience. And while the buffet was beautiful, staff was slow to seat on a busy Sunday morning. (Despite a whole open section.) location was perfect.

Our company held our sales kickoff at this Westin and not only was the location perfect, the hotel and staff did a great job throughout our entire event. The location allowed for a great harbor or city walk before and after our meetings, plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and outstanding service while we were in our meetings. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The staff was very welcoming. I had a wonderful experience each morning at breakfast. The spa was a great experience and the staff there was wonderful too. Looking forward to returning next year.

I made a terrible mistake staying at this hotel. It is extremely over priced. The nightly rate is 3-4Star but the hotel is very bland and very, very average. There are much better hotels in the area that are equally nice and better value.

Stayed at this hotel several times and always impressed. However this stay was extremely poor. As a platinum level guest did not receive any special treatment. Requested a high floor but upon check in was given a low floor with limited view. As a platinum level I am a custom to Starwood hotels pre selecting a room that honor’s my request. One of the mornings I had to wait 30 minutes to get a table for breakfast. The pool area had towels laying round on the empty chairs for a long period of time. The room only had one guest robe and housekeeping did a poor job of cleaning the room daily. Would not recommend this hotel!!

I stayed at the hotel twice within a week and had different experiences. Arrived on 7/28/13 was able to check in at 1530 with no problems for 2 rooms. Rooms were clean and service was great. 8/5/13 room was not ready until 6 pm. Stated they had a late check out. Was diffiucult as i was traveling with young children and had been at the hotel since that morning. After checking in I took the kids swimming and the pool area was a disaster. Dirty towels no clean ones to be found and old empty drinks laying next to the pool and on the tables surrounding the pool. Not what I expect out of a 4 star hotel. Not overly impressed with my second stay but would give the hotel another chance.

I was very pleased with the professionalism of the staff. Everyone was friendly & courteous; helpful. I also liked the location---- easy to walk to bike rentals, to friends' condo, to Stanley Park, to many shops and excellent restaurants, to Safeway & Urban Fares.

Check in staff person behind the desk was terse and unwelcoming. I'm a platinum guest with over 100 nights per year. Even with my elite status they did not give me an upgrade and did not even put me on a preferred floor. TV in room is very small - maybe 30 inch. Parking at the hotel is $37 per night, or you can literally park across the street at a public garage for $20 per day. There are no free computer access for platinum guests. Platinum breakfast amenity only includes the "cold buffet" section - hot food is an extra charge. When we asked the front desk person for directions to a restaurant she said "just Google it"... I didn't care for her attitude.
