We enjoyed the water location, so close to Stanley Park as well as DT. It was great to be able to walk everywhere. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by squirl beautiful location, nice facilities
I had a very comfortable room with Marina view in the tower. Staff service was excellent. Just wish I had more time to play, and fewer meetings. Had a few internet problems, but otherwise was fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anniversary3 Fantastic Staff
We arrived early for check-in; however, rooms were not available. The clerk seemed concerned to get us checked in as quickly as possible and kept us informed during the hour wait. In addition, he provided us a great upper floor with a great view of the bay. Our overall experience with the staff and resort facilities were fantastic.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TP1963 Great views
We stayed in a tower Dix room that was what I expected for the room rate. Heavenly ing bed was lovely. The room's best feature is the stunning views of the inlet and snow capped north shore mountains.
The hotel staff were very attentive to our needs and welcoming.
I would recommend this hotel for both a short or long term stay.

The Westin Bayshore is a well-located hotel with an exceptional staff and beautifully-appointed rooms right down to the sumptuous bed linens. Our city view room was still a treat, as we also had a beautiful water view and Stanley Park, too! We plan to stay at Westins in our future travels and hope they are just like the Bayshore.

Rated 4 out of 5 by KevinWall Our stay was well worth the price.
This is clearly a property which takes pride in its quality. I'll take this opportunity to point out a few minor glitches that I experienced.
- We appreciated the crib and bag of treats for our infant however it would have been very beneficial to us if the hotel offered a small baby tub for our youngest. Large showers and infants are a dangerous combination.
- The rental movies in our suite were continually flashing to black and then returning to our movies.
- While checking out I let the gentleman at the luggage desk know that we would require a luggage cart to our room and even offered to bring it up myself, as we had a ferry to catch. I was told that we would have one in five minutes. I took our children and got our vehicle from the parking garage. We waited in the car for 15-20 minutes only to see my wife lugging two heavy suitcases, a diaper bag, a laptop bag, and her purse out of the hotel and towards our car. Apparently she was tired of waiting. I understand that this is a busy time for the bellmen which is why I offered to bring my own cart up to the room. I feel like sometimes, when things are busy, guests could be allowed a degree of self-sufficiency at the cost of a potential tip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pinot Wonderful location
The Bayshore is located in a nice quiet area of down town Vancouver and we didn't hear any street noise. Peaceful setting with lovely view over looking Stanley Park and Marina. Dog friendly hotel that makes it feel more like home. Staff was very helpful and cheerful and we had quite a few requests over our stay this Christmas.

I was skeptical of using a free night award for one night stay - thinking I would be treated differently. I was graciously welcomed, had a very comfortable, safe and relaxing stay. Rooms, although tower is dated, it is well kept. All staff were genuine and welcoming. The view of the water - even when raining is wonderful.

We had such a great time at your hotel. There was everything we needed and more and we couldn't have been more happy. The pool was awesome and my 2 yr old son was welcomed with a smile at your restaurant and everywhere else for that matter. Thank you for having us and we will most definitely be staying with you again :)

VERY Friendly and helpful staff
However: There was always a lineup of people at the front desk. More staff needed to handle the volume of guests.

This hotel more than met our expectations. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were able to walk to almost everywhere we wanted to go. The room was large, comfortable and clean. Loved being able to watch the activities in the harbor from our window. Especially watching the cruise ships coming and going.

If you are making a quick trip to Vancouver and feel as though you'll probably go from meeting to meeting - stay at the Westin Bayshore. The location is spectacular; right on the water with amazing views; the facilities are great; food is wonderful and the staff are all top notch - it makes it all worthwhile.

Rated 4 out of 5 by RobbieBird Great location and lovely staff but a coupla quirks
THe location of this hotel cannot be beat in Vancouver, IMO. Gorgeous views in many (most??) of the rooms. The staff is so easygoing, helpful, and friendly - they really try to please. I genuinely enjoyed interacting with the staff. The rooms I've stayed in have been realtively spacious, I highly recommend a corner room in the modern tower if you can get it. The modern tower is nice, the Traditional wing is not as nice IMO. This is an old original concrete building and I think that makes for some relatively quiet rooms. Also in the modern tower, there are only very few rooms on each floor, that was something I really appreciated as I'm sensitive to room noise. The only thing I thought was strange, and I cant remember if I've seen this in other Westins, is that our bathroom was on the small side (given we were in a King room) and it had a sort of glass half-wall in the shower - ie no way to completely close off the shower, no shower door. nothing between the toilet, sink, and shower but a small half-wall of clear glass. Hard to explain but I dont thin kits a good design. water went over the floor every time we took a shower. there is no privacy whatsoever with this bthrm/shower setup - no matter how well you know each other, it is awkward for more than one person to be in the bthrm. The other thing that was surprising was the health club - really minimal and only one bthrm/shower combo room to use after the pool. I think the focus is on the outdoor pool which is quite nice, watch for the local otter that likes to take a swim! Overall this is a lovely hotel, if slightly impersonal due to the huge lobby areas and tons of convention-goers. Yet the genuine warmth of the staff (from the housekeepers to valet to concierge to front desk - all lovely people) really makes it a fun experience. The parking is VERY pricey but extremelly convenient, and the valets will really try to accomodate you, they even helped us mount up our bikes on our car, which is a pain to do without some help.

I picked the Bayshore as I had not stayed here in quite some time. The rooms have been nicely renovated and the location can't be beat. However I prefer the location and decor of the Grand a bit better. Plus the Grand offers free wifi whereas it was 25 dollars a day at the Bayshore. But it was a lovely stay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dawgstar82 Wonderful, as always!
Check in went smoothly, even though we extended our stay by a day at that time. Staff worked hard to find an upgraded room, linking our now 3 sepereate reservations and keying the cards so they would work the entire time! Great service from Door Men Todd, Allain and Garret and in SeaWall from Renee!

Rated 5 out of 5 by CJCL Nice hotel- great location
I stayed at this hotel for a conference. The rooms were nice, but obviously an upgraded older hotel. My only complaint is that the noise from the hallways was somewhat loud during the night. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a nice harbor view. The staff was very helpful and accommodating.

For my money this is the best SPG property in Vancouver. I appreciate the views and the close proximity to Stanley Park. You are right at the footsteps to the sea wall and Stanley Park. Its this type of getaway that I love while traveling for business. Great way to forget about being away from.

We stayed at the Westin Bayshore for 5 nights and found it to be an excellent decision. The hotel is located perfectly. We walked to Stanley Park , downtown, to English Bay, and to Gastown. The views of Coal Harbour are great. I would definitely stay here again when travelling to Vancouver.

The convention facilities were perfect for a group our size. The restaurant prices were high for this area. The food quality was good in the restaurant. The service at the seawall restaurant was extremely slow.

The hotel has great location being around the corner from Stanley Park. The Bayshore view is beautiful.
It is staffed by friendly and attentive staff (front desk called to ensure I received what I asked for 30 minutes ago).
It also has the best conference food I have had in a while.
