Rated 3 out of 5 by You pay for location I paid extra for a harbor view. it was a peeka boo view if you stuck your head out off the deck. The room was decent. The bed was OK, obviously well used as it had a concave spot. The bathroom was nicely updated with budget conscious but nice things. No microwave. Any additional items were excessively expensive. We had a group deal so WIFI and parking were reasonable in the deal. I would not use this hotel privately. A friend had 2 pop deliverd to their room as there are no vending machines on premises. It cost them 12.00. The restaurant was to expensive to eat at. Small items from room service were quite expensive and there is a delivery charge and tip added on top.. which isn't a big deal on it's own. Probably a good idea considering the budget few would be inclined to add any with the cost of things. They did give me some points for the room view issue and a strong apology. The staff were nice. I didn't need my room cleaned and they were quick to bring my any needed things when asked. Location is excellent. Hop Harour Air from the island and quick walk up the seawalk. Beautiful surrounding and nice area. Lots of runners in the area. One rough creepy looking guy gave me hard time. March 15, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by Details not meet my expectation to a downtown Westin Basically I was disappointed at the experience on this downtown Westin, although my bar was raised a bit high because of its price. * When I entered the lobby (around 9pm), apparently looking for where to check in, no one greet me or helped me. * When I finally found someone and was pointed to the front desk, no one was present there (around 9pm). * I can clearly hear people walking and talking in the lobby, or even coughing in their rooms from my room. * When I was checking in at the front desk, another customer came asking for another room because there was already someone staying in the room he was just assigned. WHAT??? I treat this as the most unprofessional mistake a hotel could ever make -- imagine someone entered your room when you're taking a shower. I was shocked that time. But since I'm not that customer, not sure about the details. In summary, if a hotel got any one of the negative points mentioned above, I'd vote down against it. Not to mention this is a top-level brand among SPG in downtown area in a big city, which hit four of them. To be honest, this stay disappointed me a lot on Westin the brand, and SPG as well. At least I wouldn't recommend this Westin to my friends. September 3, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by Unfortunately, it was not a relaxing stay... We have stayed several times at the Westin Bayshore in Vancouver BC over the years... Actually, Michael Mazon has been staying there since he was a young boy with his family and then throughout the years.. We drive up from Seattle so we always look forward to a fun, relaxing and enjoyable experience at this Resort and Spa. However, this particular stay last Saturday unfortunately, was far from being restful and relaxing. There was some kind of bike event where groups rode around the path hooting & hollering and playing loud boom box music late into the night and lasting through the early morning. Finally, at 12-midnight, we thought they were finally finished but that wasn't the case. We were continuously woken up numerous times until 3a in the morning. We were exhausted the next day. We feel that we should have been advised of this at least during the time we checked in around 5p or even notified later by the front desk. We would have liked to have stayed a higher floor in the tower or somewhere far from the bike path. We would have asked to change rooms even at midnight but we kept thinking it was almost over. By the time 1a, 2a and 3a rolled around, we hardly felt like requesting a room change. We talked to the front desk and front desk manager the next morning about this and all they could say was that they weren't aware of this event. We feel that with this location being surrounded by a major path and marina, they should be aware of local events, especially ones that will be loud and last throughout the evening and into the early morning hours. They comp'd our parking but that does not begin to make us feel better after loosing a night's sleep in a resort that is meant to be peaceful. This too was disappointing. On top of that, we paid the highest we've ever paid so we did not leave feeling good about our stay. After all the times we've stayed at the Westin Bayshore, we were really disappointed to have had this horrible experience. July 9, 2014
