Our stay at the hotel was fantastic. Our room had an awesome view of the lake and Toronto Island which I confess is something that never ceases to impress us and I am sure will be equally impressive to others..
Our experience at Toula, the rooftop restaurants at the hotel, was superb. The manager, Baldo, took exceptional care of us and every facet of the dining experience was phenomenal. Watching the sun set over the lake while we feasted on mouth watering scallops and juicy steak (or veal in the case of my wife) is an experience we will not soon forget. The meal, washed down with some excellent champagne, was a great prelude to seeing Les Miserables.
We both thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast buffet at Mizzen (the hotel's restaurant beside the main lobby). The selection of fresh fruits and pastries was excellent and I particularly enjoyed the breakfast quesadillas. All of the staff at the hotel demonstrated the friendliness we always receive at the Westin.
The Westin Harbour Castle remains our favourite Toronto hotel and one we will continue to recommend highly to all of our friends and family. Once again I offer a big thank you to all of the hotel staff for making our stay in Toronto a memorable one.

Reception staff was very accommodating and friendly. Unfortunately I was assigned a room (22nd Floor) facing the elevators in the North Tower. I heard the elevators going up and down all night at least up till 2 in the morning, that's when I decided to take a sleeping pill. Lots of doors banging, people talking. On top of all these, the Cooling/Heating system made a lot of noise, not just the blowing noise but also a tick tick sound when it stopped blowing. Bed was comfortable but a duvet was kept between two flat sheets (not inside the duvet cover). Then whatever they put inside the duvet cover was lumpy, heavy, and very uncomfortable. I felt trapped underneath it, could not turn comfortably. I took it off on my second night which improved the situation slightly but felt a bit cold. I did not have a good sleep both nights. Since I was attending a business conference, I was extremely tired both days. Did not try the restaureant since breakfast and lunch were provided for in the conference. Did not try the spa or Exercise Room. Had dinner in the city with friends and went straight to bed. Will not stay in this hotel again. The hotel is also away from city core and restaurants. Needs 10 - 15 minutes walk uptown.

Having worked in the hospitality industry for many years I have come to value the effort that goes into great service highly and I am pleased to report that the service received at the Westin was exceptional. Having attended for a conference hosted by the hotel - which was well run and proceeded very smoothly - I extended my stay by a couple of days in order to explore Toronto and the surrounding area. I booked a day tour through the Westin and not only was it a fabulous excursion but I had the pleasure of meeting and conversing with members of staff as I waited in the lobby for my sight-seeing trip. One of the staff members in particular (Leslie - Convention and Catering Services Manager) subsequently went out of her way converse with and assist me - making me feel completely at home and very well cared for. Despite the cold weather that accompanied my visit to Canada my perceptions of both the hotel and Toronto are of warmth and comfort - in no small part due to her efforts. I was given to understand that she is a long term employee and I'm pleased to see a hotel invest in quality personnel. My congratulations. If I were to stay again in Toronto the Westin Harbour Castle would be my first choice for accommodation.
