Hotel staff most courteous and accommodating; room well appointed with excellent view; Beach Club floor made food easily accessible. Overall just the easy get away I wanted. Thank you!

The hotel was very nice with great views. The staff was incredibly attentive and accommodating (especially Dany, but I know my wife could provide other first names). I was particularly impressed with managements involvement in guest satisfaction. The concierge services were also very nice offering a quiet environment for breakfast and dinner with very good food. Here too, I was impressed with the detail of care and attentiveness taken by the concierge (particularly Angel). Although I have been a platinum at SPG for two years now, this was my wife's first experience with the hotel brand. She was so impressed with this Westin that she now insists I make sure to retain my platinum status here. I think you will find this hotel will provide the environment you want for a vacation with impeccable and sincere care by the staff.

Just came back from Puerto Vallarta. We had a great time at the Westin. The staff was friendly, the rooms are large, the hotel is beautiful and well preserved. The club lounge is really unique: excellent breakfast at the bar, and drinks and appetizers at the spacious lounge in the afternoons. The hotel is walking distance to Marina Vallarta, that has a lot of restaurants, but mostly on the touristy side. The authentic Mexican food is downtown, which is a 20 minute taxi/bus ride away. The one inconvenience (although my stay was a vacation, so I should not be complaining) is that the internet provider blocks access to VPN so I could not connect with work. Hopefully that gets fixed for next year, as I am really looking forward to another vacation at the Westin in Puerto Vallarta.

really enjoyed our time in PV at the Westin. Miguel at the pool was super friendly and funny. front desk staff was very helpful. all the servers at pool and beach were great and attentive. enjoyed a junior suite as part of an SPG platinum suite night award upgrade. definitely a requirement to go back. can't beat ocean views in the hot tub. would be nice if they offered an airport shuttle or a shuttle into town as it is a decent drive to downtown PV. we were debating btwn the Sheraton and Westin and chose Westin for room upgrades. Sheraton is closer to town. enjoyed that it was a mostly private beach at the Westin and was not super crowded as it's off season. walkable to good restaurants in the marina.

I just lost like 45 mins to chekout because the special line you have for Gold and Platinum SPG Members wasn't in service. It was the same problem in the Check in.

This hotel at one time was lovely, but it badly needs a renovation. Upon arrival, we were given a pool view room even though our reservation "guaranteed" a partial ocean view room. The room had two broken lamps, and there were stains on the furniture and shades. The furniture was old and out-dated. There were very few English TV stations available.
Due to a dispute with a timeshare property, there is an ugly green fence across the middle of the property. Hotel guests cannot get to the adult pools due to the fence and are forced to use only childrens' pools on the hotel property. Very unsatisfactory.
The tennis courts are in deplorable condition. Of the three courts, one is totally unplayable, and a second court has a worn spot on the carpet surface that could lead to serious injury. The nets are worn out and ripped, and all the latches on the fence doors are broken. Despite this poor situation, the hotel still charges guest $15/hour for day time use of the courts. A rip-off!
The restaurant has an over-priced breakfast buffet, and only 4 entrees for lunch and no sandwich offerings. The food is fair at best and the pre-printed menu never varies.
Honestly, this hotel should be closed for total renovation or leave the Westin system. The situation with the pools should be resolved so that guests are not fenced in behind an ugly green "Berlin Wall" and denied use of the adult pools. Avoid this property until these issues are resolved and stay at the Sheraton instead.

Our SGG level rooms were very nice. We stayed in the Grand Suite. It is quite spacious with two levels. I would recommend doing something about the bugs (ants, bees and spiders) on the floors and walls.
