Rated 2 out of 5 by Great Hotel- Terrible Managers I am SPG Platinuim. Hotel is great, staff is good . Managers are rude , unavailable and not willing to solve any issue. probably one of the worst management teams I have seen in a Westin property December 19, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Very Disappointing Westin Property Mold on shower walls in 3 different rooms. Seems to be absolutely zero professional management at this property. LOUD American music playing in the lobby area. Only a few steps away in the bar, different LOUD American music playing. Then on some days there is piano music only steps away in the dining room. Makes for a very unpleasant overall atmosphere. The 3 nights we stayed, staff from the bar & restaurant stood along the walls in the bar watching American movies on 2 wall TV's, that were turned up so loud you could hear the movie in the lobby & dining room. Could be a lovely bar atmosphere if they used the fireplace for a fire, instead of using if for the stereo system & floor speakers Another example of the hotel apparently lacking any type of experienced professional management. Much of the furniture in public areas & rooms, appear to be very worn & in need of upgrade. Especially in the bar area. Property needs more lighting in the large, dark central courtyard, & there is NO night lighting in the public courtyard outside the bar. Dirty table tops in lobby area upon check-in, were still dirty when we checked out 3 days later. If reliable internet access is important you should stay elsewhere. Some rooms have wall plaques in the hallway designating them as Starwood Preferred Guest Rooms, yet neither of 2 rooms we occupied had such a designation. If not for SPG Member use, then why the special designation? A total & complete waste of 7,000 points per night. This property is "at best" a 3-4,000 night category. Reclaimed the points for 1 night, by paying their special rate of $102, which is well below their posted rack rate of $190, & still didn't feel it was justified. Not even remotely close to the quality that Westin promotes. Front Desk, Bellman & Rooms Manager were friendly, courteous & responsive, but rest of staff seem to need more training, & professional supervision seems to be non-existent. February 11, 2014
