Rated 5 out of 5 by Grand, for real! I come here every time I am in the capital! The check-in staff is incredibly friendly and even all the housekeeping attendants are smiling and greeting you whenever you pass them. The real deal though is the restaurant staff - I love them. Especially the woman with the short hair always made our stays wonderful! ALso, I love the facilities. The pool is beautiful and the gym practical. Always an amazing stay! Thanks everybody! Rated 3 out of 5 Old and needs to get up to date We stayed over New Year. That there was no free WiFi was very disappointing. The charge would have been 7.50 Euro for one hour. On the other side the breakfast was amazing. In summary it feels like a conference hotel which got a little bit old over the years and is not up to date with the technology. January 4, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great hotel at the Shopping heart of Berlin Very nice and cozy hotel. Excellent breakfast and a perfect location for shopping lovers. The concierge team was also very friendly and helpful. Front desk team were polite, yet slightly too rigid. December 24, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Best location in town Perfect hotel for leisure trips December 24, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Helfpul Staff/Great Location The staff at this hotel were very polite and helpful across all areas with which I interacted (front desk, concierge, business center, restaurant). It has a great location for my business needs and for off-time site-seeing. This is now my preferred business hotel n Berlin. December 20, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice location Me and my brother goes om an anual trip to Berlin and this year we choose to stay att the Westin Grand Berlin. It has a great location whith everything close by and easy acces to the U-bahn. Tha staff was nice and as a bonus we got to check in early om the day of arravial, great when you-r abit tired from traveling. We didn't have time the go to the spa this time so we'll have to go back for that! December 12, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Location Great location, just inside the old East Berlin. Easy walking distance to the Brandenburg Gate & other sights, 2 tube stops within minutes. Friendly staff with excellent English. Delightfully grand staircase & chandelier. Nice comfortable room with great bed, although room a little small for a supieror. Decent pool & hot tub but sauna was extra( (Eur 8 pp), no steam room or other facilities. Cloud Wi-Fi was good & free, I had no problems surfing & downloading The Times. December 8, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfort and Location This hotel is exactly what you expect from a Westin Grand, it is comfortable, very nicely decorated and has a friendly staff. The hotel has a great location about 6 blocks from Checkpoint Charlie and located right at the Ubahn for access around the city. We really enjoyed the Christmas Markets and the hotel is located just a few block walk from the best of the markets. I will return to this hotel if I am ever back in Berlin. December 7, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by One flaw in this gem A wonderful property with first rate staff in a great location. However, the internet service provider was recently changed to "the cloud", which should probably be more aptly named "the clods". Virtually useless wifi - slower than dial up, requiring constant re-logging in, useless telephone support. The management is very aware of the problems and trying to get the clods to fix it. The IT manager came to check for himself the connection speed in the room (0.30 Mbps down and 0.18 up!!!). He was talking to their "help" desk. My German is not great but "useless" and "incompetent" seemed to be recurring words. Hopefully it will get sorted soon. December 5, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Really enjoy staying here when in Berlin Relaxed feeling and great rooms with smart design reflecting the Berlin trendy spirit. December 4, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by This is a classy hotel The hotel met almost all of my expectations. It has classy, nice and clean facilities. The only downside is the lack of an Executive Lounge December 4, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Still in the cold war ---- Hotel needs major service overhaul. While the rooms are reasonably priced, their service was less than stellar. if you are going to be downtown and just need a place to sleep this hotel is perfect for you, however, if you need help from the service staff, be sure they double check dinner/event reservations as there were issues. Also, they dont seem to return emails or phone calls. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Location Excellent Property I stayed here for 5 nights in June 2012. Booked cash + points - very good deal and was upgraded to a very nice suite on the top floor of the hotel. Location was excellent (this was my first time in Berlin). Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Berlin. November 21, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic All Around Amazing hotel. Very nicely located and equipped. November 11, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Very bad room The room 205 was small, unconvinient, penorious and n ot clean. I do not know what kind of room get a non SPG paying 50% less than me. The service in the lobby extremly slow. November 11, 2012

Rated 2 out of 5 by No Good treatment for a Platinum Number I travel a lot around the world each year and my first choice for my stay is a Starwood Property.and always i am satisfacted, except this time. I didn't like the treatment i received and generaly the service. November 4, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Top Hotel in Berlin Great Hotel with nice rooms, professional & welcoming staff. November 2, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Central location for tourists The Westin has a great location in Berlin for a tourist. It’s near a subway station, and within walking distance of many attractions such as the Museum Island and right next to many stores such as Galeries Lafayette. When I arrived in the morning via a 20 Euro cab ride from TXL, I was told that my room wasn’t available yet, but I would be called as soon as it was ready. I never received a phone call. When I returned to the hotel 6 hours later, I was upgraded to a junior suite as a Platinum member. My junior suite was large (as large as some other one bedroom suites I’ve been in) and clean, with standard Westin amenities. My room had two singles that you can push together to make a King, but you there are two duvets on each single. So essentially you’re still stuck with two beds. The bathtub shower half one of those half-enclosed glass enclosures, which means water gets all over the place while you’re showering. A bottle of free water was supplied in my room. The breakfast buffet was substantial, and had pretty much anything you needed. Will definitely be returning to this property soon! November 1, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by October 2012 Stay Nice hotel and good location. The staff did not have our room ready upon our late arrival which was irritating given the long international flight, but they did their best to correct the situation. Otherwise, it was a nice stay. November 1, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Luxurious Hotel Very nice hotel. but we unfortunately had the room on the 3 rd floor over looking the construction site . They made a lot of noise trying to drill a cylinder into the earth. I had reserved the room over 2 months ago. One would think they would make arrangements, so no body use that room. Otherwise very nice hotel. October 31, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect Staff and facilities were great. Not only was the free breakfast unbelievable, the staff was 5 star. October 27, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Old fashioned charm This was one of our best hotel experiences. The hotel has that indefinable old world style. Service was utterly professional with genuine friendly and good humoured staff. The location is perfect for visiting the stunning sites in Berlin. Facilities to make tea/coffee in our room would have been welcome - yes, a British foible. It was great we were in a room overlooking the garden because of the U-bahn construction. Westin is definitely at the top of our priority list. Bravo! October 25, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by A Sheraton in a Building Site - not impressive We went to this hotel as a two-night treat in the middle of a hectic European vacation - big mistake. Numerous little things added up to a very poor experience: - the hotel is in the middle of building site and you will have a compulsory 7.30 am wake-up from the pneumatic drills outside, whether you wanted it or not; - there are no coffee makers in the room meaning you have to pay for morning coffee (after the above wake-up call); - after a swim in the hotel pool at 9 pm there was no soap, shampoo or conditioner in the showers and the staff offered no help when asked for more; - there is no ice bucket in the room meaning that you have to pay for room service to bring you ice; - the room keys failed three times and the last repair took over fifteen minutes after we had been out for a morning run, during which time we were asked more than once if we were sure the key did not work!; - the hotel advertises the RunWESTIN service but the concierge had never heard of it. In addition, the map we were given was not pocket-sized and the distance was not 8 km (it was nearer 6 km). Overall, I want a refund of the 20,000 SPG points I paid - it was a complete rip-off by Westin standards. October 24, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Very strict check-in/out time policy After having landed in Berlin quite early I wanted to check-in as early as possible. The staff was very kind but the check-in time policy was not flexible at all. I could get in to my room at 12.30 only after waiting 4 hours in the lobby. On the other other hand I got only one hour "extra" upon late checking out. The sauna and internet are also extras.... October 24, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good but not Great Our stay at Westin Berlin Grand was hardly grand. The staff was very accommodating and the breakfasts were good, but the room was tiny and we got no upgrade. Huge charges for internet, which you get for free, hardly improved my impression, since I stayed at better hotels on this trip where it was free. We used points for one night and got no breakfast. There is no turndown service at night. The hotel was completely confused when three nights were under Tauck Tours and one with points. I was locked out of my room and it was not made up by 5 PM.
