Beautiful hotel in an excellent location for exploring Dresden. All the historical sites can be reached by foot in a few minutes. It is in the trendy modern part of Dresden with great restaurants and cafes.

We stayed here the first night on our trip around this particular section of the former GDR. After a drive from the Berlin Tegel airport, when we arrived, we were a little concerned as there was another car parked in front of the main door with two gentlemen gathering together all of their luggage and then heading into the lobby. Normally when we drive up to a Westin (or similar hotel), a valet/doorman/staff member is there to assist with the luggage and guide one into the reception area. But no problems, we just gathered all of our belongings and headed off to the check-in desk. Check-in was quick, efficient, friendly and quite pleasant. At that time we were asked if we needed any assistance with our luggage. Future overnight stays in Leipzig, Weimar and Hannover were similar in not having "outside" personnel ready for arriving guests. Berlin was the one exception. Positives - (1) Hotel is in a great location - within a 10 minute pleasant walk over the bridge into the old city. (2) We were upgraded to a Suite due to platinum SPG status - thank you very much -- to a very nice, clean, spacious corner sitting room and bedroom (#427) with a fantastic view of the old city across the Elbe river (3) Very comfortable bed (4) very quiet and peaceful in our room (5) front desk staff very helpful, courteous and excellent grasp of English, especially Peggy (6) excellent dinner at Canaletto's (7) They will park your car - parking is 16 euros (one of the lowest rates that we were charged during on our trip for hotel parking) (8) Free Buffet breakfast was given as one of the welcoming "selection" choices for SPG platinum members. I really appreciated this, as the poor policy decision of many Westin properties is when platinum spg members select a free breakfast for their "recognition" choice upon check in, it is a only a continental breakfast. Apparently, in those hotels platinum members are not valued enough to receive the full breakfast buffet. Thank you Westin Hotel Bellevue! Negatives - (1) Poor A/C. Upon entry, room was a little stuffy and warm. Turned A/C on and dialed down to lowest temperature with max fan - but nothing much happened. Some air was coming out of the vent, but not much cooler than the room. I opened the windows (as far as possible) and eventually room temperature was OK. Dresden itself was a very pleasant surprise and the Hotel Bellevue is a place that we will strongly recommend to friends who may be traveling in this area. We may return to this area and would love to stay here again.

Was nützt das tollste Hotel in bester Lage, Vollkomfort mit Canaletto-Blick ohne super Mitarbeiter -die Menschen welche darin arbeiten? Sie schaffen die Atmosphäre durch Ihrer Liebe zum Beruf. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen und verstanden gefühlt. Ein natürliches Lächeln der Damen und Herren an der Rezeption, ein charmantes gleichzeitig professionelles Eingehen unserer Wünsche und Fragen - auch um Mitternacht. Das nette begrüssen der Zimmerfrauen jedes Gastes.Die Zeit im Bellevue hat unseren Aufenthalt in Dresden von Anfang bis Ende abgerundet. Danke an ALLE

Rated 5 out of 5 by spitfire Der Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war sehr angenehm.
Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Wir hatten ein Grand - Deluxe - Zimmer in der 4. Etage mit schönem Ausblick und wunderbar bequemem, sehr großen Bett.
Das Frühstücksbuffet war ausgezeichnet.
Alles sehr zu empfehlen !

ich war in der stadt um mit meiner freundin museen zu besichtigen. bei der ankunft hatte ich mich etwas über die schlechten parkmöglichkeiten geärgert, allerdings war ostern und das hotel ausgebucht. dies sollte allerdings eine tolle überraschung für mich und vor allem meine freundin mit sich bringen den wir wurden upgegradet und bekamne eine traumhafte suite. eines der schönsten zimmer in denen ich jemals war. leider wwar das vorab angekündigte late check out nicht möglich. ansonten sehr schönes haus mit gutem früstücksbuffet

Dieses Haus kann man ohne jegliche Bedenken weiterempfehlen. Fantastische Lage, besonders wenn man ein Zimmer mit " Canaletto-Blick" hat. Service und Empfang überaus freundlich. Frühstücksbuffet und Service am Frühstückstisch excellent. Man ist in wenigen Minuten über die Elbbrücke mit ständigem Blick auf Dresdens Schokoladenseite in der Altstadt. Wir würden bei einem neuerlichen Besuch in Dresden wieder Im Bellevue wohnen wollen.

I spent 3 nights in Dresden and of course the Westin Dresden was my very first choice not because of my loyalty to SPG but also of its charm. All in all staffs and facilities were superb just one minor thing. Check in was too formal which made me feel like the very first time at this hotel.
