Rated 3 out of 5 by Doughbuy Tired hotel in good location
I had high hopes for the Westin Westminster, especially based on its location between Denver and Boulder, and the fact that it's adjacent to a park and markets itself with spectacular mountain views. However, I was left disappointed.
The parking lot located on the property is valet only... at a price of around $15 a day, whereas the parking lot for normal people is across the street. The lobby and restaurant look great and renovated, however, when we checked in there was a line of around 5 to 6 people and one person manning the counter. After 5 to 10 minutes, 2 other people came out to help... but they could have been more responsive much quicker.
I was able to get an "upgrade" to a corner room, which was still fairly small and outdated. Views of the mountains would have been better, if we were on a higher floor, so YMMV. The breakfast option for SPG platinum is a simple "continental" breakfast option, which doesn't bring you much.
The pool and hot tub area is nice, so the property has that going for it, as well as plenty of shopping and dining in the area. With some updates, this hotel can truly shine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by BarkingDog2 Dogs take over hotel
The first night staying at this hotel there was a dog two rooms down which started to bark at 11:30 p.m. for 10 minutes. It then barked again at 6:08 a.m. for about 15 minutes. It continued to bark in the morning for over 3 hours. Another guest put a note on the door for the owner that their dog had been barking all morning. I informed the front desk and they assured me it was doing everything it could in contacting the owner. On top of this they placed another dog the same day in the room next door to the non-stop barking dog. Now instead of one dog barking there were two. I could not move rooms as there were not any as the hotel was booked with a dog show. I own two dogs of my own so I am use to dogs barking but, not non-stop for over 3 hours. It was not an enjoyable stay for a wedding weekend.

WARNING, WARNING! If I could rate this hotel a 0 or a negative score I would. We stayed at this hotel the day after 4th of July and arrived later in the evening. I went to the room first because I was very ill and my wife went shopping before the stores closed. I had gone strait to bed when I walked into the room without looking at the bathroom. When my wife arrived back at the hotel, she saw the bathroom and it was absolutely disgusting. Private area hair all over the bathroom shower, floor and hair on the sink. The worst was remnants of what looked like blood on the toilet seat and was un-cleaned. My wife took pictures of the room that night and showed the staff. We asked that we be refunded for the room and the customer care was terrible. One of the excuses they gave us was because we pre-booked the room they could not refund the charge which is nonsense. They eventually agreed the next day to cancel the charges. When I received my credit card statement we were in fact charged for the room. My wife and I made several attempts to leave messages with several people including the manager who runs the entire hotel with not a single call back. My wife stays at Westins all over the country and her company uses Westin when holding conferences in different cities and she said she was never treated this badly ever. Stay away from this hotel if you do not want to run into situations and dishonest people as we did. WATCH OUT!!!

While at a conference, I had a total of 9 meals at this hotel. The following is my experience:
1) Food was full of pepper spices, too spicy hot in many cases. Breakfast Eggs had red pepper dumped in them.
2)Chef produced vegetarian meals as 4 slices of squash, 2 red potatoes, and 1 button mushroom. All with overwhelming pepper.
3) Meals in the "restaurant" were presented with under-done tortillas, hot sauces, lack of presentation, and in some cases cold.
4) Meals at convention were rice or polenta, some dried chicken, and pepper flavored sauces.
NO imagination, and absolutely no variety in the quality of the meats.
Dinner on Saturday was good if you were able to have the steak - some were served cold.

Checked in as part of a corporate meeting. Was told by desk clerk that I should just sign up for internet access and the fee would then be waived, per the corporate contract. In fact, I was charged for access. I went to the front desk multiple times to get the matter corrected. The manager and desk staff said that they would look into it. At checkout I was informed that the internet that I logged onto -- "Westin Conference" -- is a third party vendor, and I would have to deal with the third party vendor on my own. The manager and desk person said I should have been more careful in signing up for the internet.

Rated 2 out of 5 by BusinessTraveller88 No food options for vegetarians & unhelpful staff
I had high expectations from my colleagues when booking this hotel for meetings as they all usually stay here. I arrived extremely hungry from a long flight. Unfortunately there are no minibars in the hotels, an unstaffed Starbucks and the Kachina Grill restaurant located inside the hotel does not offer vegetarian food unless you consider fries a meal! The staff were very unhelpful and rude when I requested alternative options. Also you are charged another fee for Wifi which is hilarious. I will not be staying at this hotel for meetings again, and will be going back to the other major hotel I usually stay at.

I flew into Denver from sea level and after an evening in Boulder, this was a great place to stay before heading to Eagle County.
My experience was "uneventful" and that's ok. Just a very routine hotel stay. The check-in, room, check-out experience were completely fine. The room (two doubles) was clean and there were no housekeeping issues. The beds were firm and didn't feel quite like the "Heavenly Bed Experience". I wasn't there long enough to check out any other hotel facilities such as the gym.
I had breakfast at the restaurant and the food and service were both very good. I would recommend it for breakfast.
