Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Location and Quality Service The Westin is ideally situated in the heart of the Sydney CBD. Extremely convenient and nice walking distance from key atrractions like the Opera House, Circular Quay, Pitt Street Mall. Rooms are well presented, modern and our room with the Martin Place Clock Tower view was a bonus! I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to travel in comfort and have the convenience of an ideal location. July 3, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Customer service was extemely poor Reception staff lack basic customer service skills and empathy. Reception staff failed to communicate with myself, I being the paying customer which results in my tears and the feeling of being unwelcome in the Westin Sydney Hotel. The room on the other hand was beautiful and was every thing I had expected as the short stay was intended for romance with my husband who I had not seen in 6 weeks. September 6, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect Host Staying at the Westin Sydney is a totally rejuvenating expericence. The staff work behind the scenes to create a perfect environment for the traveller to arrive and be welcomed and assured. Luggage whisked away, everything is taken care of. The room service is so prompt and of course the rooms are designed to relax and enjoy. Loved using the fitness personal care at the Westin. December 17, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Different rules to other SPG hotels The hotel was a fine for this level of hotel. My concern is their policy on SPG which they will not honor if the hotel booked with a third party even if a reputable travel agent. We have booked all our business and private travel through this agent over the last 5 years and never had this negative stance. We stayed at another Starwood hotel in the city 3 weeks earlier and they had no problem. January 31, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Quality Stay I was delighted to celebrate my wedding anniversary at the Westin. The facilities and overall ambience were of a very high standard. I'd hoped the rooms had better sound proofing as I could hear nearby guests yelling the next morning. My husband and I received complimentary sweets which was a lovely gesture. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends. June 23, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Not meet my expectation The facility of this hotel does not meet my expectation amd needs improvement. I don't expect a five star hotel without it's own managed swimming pool. The business centre is just a room with 4 computer and a fax machine. It does not make me feel comfortable. The room is clean while not as comfortable as the other Westin I stayed before. May be the light is bit dark and not much decoration, April 6, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Location The hotel is situated in prime location. The property is nice. Only thing which I did not appreciate was that there was no complementary bottled water in the room. When asked about it , I was told the tap water is drinkable. I would like to mentioned that this is the only Starwood property in Asia-Australia to do so. July 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 Beautiful setting I have previously been to the Westin for meetings and been taken by the magnificent building. The room lived up to my expectations of being well appointed, stylish and very VERY comfortable. I highly recommend it, especially for proximity to Pitt Street Mall and Circular Quay. Nothing pretentious about the hotel even though it possibly has every right to be. It is simply beautiful. April 27, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by need more care I lost my necklace during my stay in Sydney and I asked Westin staff to help me have a ask to house keeping staff whether they by chance pick it up. Westin staff called me during my travelling in noisy condition and I didn’t hear the call and missed it. While I called back to hotel general line, nobody knows who called me, it’s untraceable. I called back twice but no one really follows up. October 23, 2012

Buffet breakfast is a must try with perfect brewed coffee at a touch of a button, omelettes cooked to perfection, energy boost shots and a banquet to cater to anyone's taste buds with the focus on healthy alternatives, always leaves you wanting more. Rated 4 out of 5 by Hotel Service Having a self serve coffee machine at breakfast is pretty average for a hotel of this quality. The staff would direct to the machine and once making it the taste was also average. This view was also shared by other people I traveled with. One person was very helpful Alan at breakfast who actually made the coffee for us. I feel that wireless internet in the room should be complimentary. February 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by card failure Enbarressing moment Sunday evening. Ha d been to the shops and could not activate lift with my room card. Lots of glares so returned to reception who grilled me, demanded identification, very unprofessional and then told me it was my fault because the room card had been stored with my phone. Not a good way to handle things . Also 65 dollars for parking has me thinking about the value. July 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this hotel We have stayed twice now and always wish we could stay longer, it really is a beautifull hotel. The staff are professional and always great you with respect and are a pleasure to speak to.Rooms are large and very comfortable with all quality details. Restuarant and buffet breakfast a pleasurable experience. Location can't be beat, its a short walk to anywhere. We will always come back May 9, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great experience I am in the travel industry and stay at lot of hotels over the world. This has such a great feel.. Busy, vibrant and classy. Well located, and has a real city New York type of feeling. One criticism is the pool area is below par and access is a pain in the butt. Staff outstanding and couldn't be more friendly and efficient. One of the better hotels I have enjoyed. It was a pleasure. February 6, 2014

The room was fab don't know what sort of upgrade but lovely, yes we ate the food very nice indeed if a little pricey, and a very good gym too. depends where you like to be based but it was close to the metro and walking distance to key landmarks. a 5* hotel and every bit the part. thank you Westin Sydney. Staff from concierge and reception needs serious improvement, you ask yourself if they enjoy having clients. Staff at breakfast very friendly but 20 min waiting time to get a table is not really what you expect 3 mornings out of 4.... Hotel needs a kick, should not be run like a factory but like a hotel. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Hotel, but .... Hotel was great, especially the beds. Would have to be the most comfortable bed I've slept in, in any hotel. However, I have a complaint with the breakfast. All hot food was barely warm, bacon was over-cooked and price was exorbitant! Staff attitude was less than friendly, especially when we asked for a table for 5. Will definitely stay at this hotel again, but will not eat here. April 29, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great location, great staff bad housekeeping Toilet is dusty. I wonder when was the last time being cleaned thoroughly. Amenities are lacking and not replaced daily. No slippers (5 star hotel?). Some of the drinking glass went missing on the second day after we arrived and now on our fifth day it's still nowhere to be found. Air con made noises, noises from bar nearby can be heard at night, made us hard to sleep profoundly. April 29, 2013

The level of service was most impressive and the rooms were beautiful. The breakfast provided a wide range of foods and all were presented beautifully and fresh. Rated 5 out of 5 by Excelled my expectations...again As a returning guest, I was looking forward to being able to surprise one of my best friends who travelled to NSW to spend her birthday with a group of friends. Once again all of my expectations were far exceeded- not too mention my friend was completely blown away with her surprise present of a night of luxury at what has quickly become my favourite hotel in Sydney. Rated 5 out of 5 by A first in Sydney Westin Hotel is very well positioned in the CBD - staff were attentive, and made every effort to accommodate us. We arrived a day earlier than expected and so had two bookings. I requested a quiet room, and this was arranged on the Starwood preferred guest level. The room was spacious, and quiet - the best we have had for some time- we travel frequently to the US every year, and are used to booking 5* hotels with excellent value for the cost. The shower area was a bit tired with tiling that could be regrouted, and the shower mixer was not the best. I had a couple of showers with very hot alternating with lukewarm water. Despite this we will certainly stay again, and recommend the hotel. One bonus, is the $20 total internet fee for up to three devices / 24 hours. We both had work to attend to , and it does irk us, that with 5* hotels the internet fee isn't inclusive in the rates. Thank you for a very pleasant stay. :) October 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Ultimately comfortable room Westin Sydney has the most comfortable room hands down. The heavenly bed is soft and very good for your back, there were also 6 pillows provided for your comfort! The room is spacious, the TV and channels are excellent (crystal clear unlike some other 5 star hotels). The bathroom is classy with a huge bath tub. Would stay here without hesitation the next time I visit Sydney. January 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Convenient CBD location I stayed at The Westin for business. The location was excellent as it is located in the CBD. The hotel is in close proximity to the Wynyard train station so the trip to and from the Sydney airport was really simple. It was also an easy walk to Circular Quay for restaurants and ferries. The room was well appointed with modern bathroom facilities and a very comfortable bed. November 11, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Overall great stay! The stay at the Westin was very enjoyable and the room was fantastic. The overall room and bathroom were exceptionable and to the highest quality. There were issues with two of the lamps in the room not functioning. The pool area was a big disappointment as it was very small, basic, lacking in facilities and it also closed at 6pm on a Sunday which I found unacceptable. December 18, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by almost but not quite Still no ESPN. That is not acceptable for an American hotel chain. No ESPN means no access to many of the most important Americe sporting events. Internet was a bit slow. WiFi access was cumbersome and included a long delay. Breakfast remains suboptimal. Poor service. Good coffee is an extra charge. Staff is excellent. Good rooms for work. Rated 1 out of 5 by Noise caused sleepless night Have always enjoyed previous stays at The Weston,but on this occasion left feeling totally wrecked due to lack of sleep caused by thumping disco music from an external bar which continued until 4.00am. Reception contacted the Bar at 2.00am to lower sound but to no avail. So much for the heavenly bed I am surprised that management have allowed this disturbance to happen. June 13, 2013

Everything was great although no obvious recognition of SPG membership. The only minor thing was no teapots or mugs available in breakfast restaurant. July 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Relaxing place to crash. A wonderful place to relax after the City to Surf. Travelling as a mum and 3 children, it was fantastic that we could all stay in the one room. Finding the pool was an adventure and great source of amusement, however it was a little dissapointing for the children when we found it,. Perfect for the serious swimmer. Fantastic location for central Sydney and the harbour. August 16, 2012
