Rated 4 out of 5 by Great hotel, average service I have stayed at this hotel at least a dozen times and have never been treated as well as I do at other Westins. Outside the bell staff, they need a service upgrade in approach. The location is excellent. The lobby facility is great for entertaining clients or informal meetings. The restaurants downstairs are very convenient. March 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 Enjoyable Trip My family and I stayed for 6 nights at this hotel and we were very happy with the hotel ambience, room spaciousness and helpfulness of staff. The deluxe tower twin room as an admirable size for our comfort and we were happy with the amenities within. I would definitely recommend anyone to this hotel for their stay in Sydney. June 11, 2012

In the Restaurant, at Check-in, the Concierge, the Bellman, Cleaning staff, Phone operators, everyone went out of their way to make my stay totally enjoyable, relaxing and first class all the way. Rated 2 out of 5 by Lots of Problems We had a number of problems with our stay. 1) A loud A/C unit (which got fixed). 2) A shower that alternated cold with burning hot (that was not fixed after 2 attempts). 3) A noxious paint remover smell that came into the room. We have stayed at this property three times. After this stay, I don't think we will stay again. March 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by 24 hours of luxury We only stayed the night as we were in town to see P!nk, its was the best sleep I ever had, the staff were professional and very helpful and the breakfast was amazing we did not want to come home, looking forward to future stays the next one will stay longer for sure. I strongly recommend to anyone to stay here its a must August 1, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Weekender Have stayed at the Westin before and as always did not disappoint. Received an upgrade and the view of the City at night was glorious. Breakfast at Mosaic was great with lots of choices. The combination of the old and new architecture blends very well. A short walk to all attractions and shopping. Will definitely be back. Rated 4 out of 5 by Beautiful Hotel, on beautiful street I have just returned form my 2 night stay at the Westin Melbourne. The location was perfect the hotel was to the standard a 5 star hotel should be. The Staff were great, at the exception of a sour faced Waitress in the breakfast room each morning. The bed was AMAZING could have slept for days. We will be back , no doubt. September 23, 2012

The staff were very courteous and helpful. We would definitely stay again and recommend your hotel to others. We particularly enjoyed staying in a heritage room and the superb breakfasts! The closet was big enough to live in .. and what other hotel has a closet/ changing room . I was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff, Reception through to the housemaids.. Rated 5 out of 5 by Help when I needed it I arrived from a flight where I had become quite ill. Westin Sydney organised the room immediately. They organised a doctor within the hour. I was able to be back at work the next day feeling great. I could not thank you enough for all the assistance. December 18, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by A bit disappointed I haven't stayed in the Westin Sydney for a while. This time, I was a bit disappointed with the services / experiences I came across: - I have asked for an early check-in when I reserved my room. I arrived around 8am, but I was not able to get into my room until 11am. I understand that a request for early check-in is not guaranteed, but I think the hotel should try to accommodate the guests as soon as possible. There were tons of guests waiting in the lobby for their rooms! (The main reason I was being told was that the cleaning staff do not come in early on sundays. It's not because the guests have not checked out.) - I went out around noon time and got back to my room 5 or 6 hours later. Surprisely, I found a suitcase (which did not belong to me) sitting in my room! The surname was similar to mine, but definitely different. I called up the hotel staff to come and pick it up and re-distribute to the correct guest. I wouldn't expect this kind of mistake to happen in a 5-star hotel! April 17, 2013

Room was large as we got an upgrade but didn't like that we looked out on the lobby so had no idea what weather was like!!! overall a lovely hotel, staff were very friendly. June 17, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by the best hotel room by a long way! This is a great hotel! in the old post office in sydney's martin place - so convenient to everything! Staff are friendly and room is incredible. Ate lunch in the lobby bar and the food was good. Coffees are very expensive though and it would be nice to have a weekend paper at the door on saturday morn! March 10, 2013

The staff is great ...the rooms are well appointed, very clean and comfortable, and a perfect location in the heart of the city. I would highly recommend this hotel and plan to stay there again on my next visit. December 6, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wow, speedy service We booked it to go to the Theatre Royal, within 45 mins we checked in, enjoyed room service, showered and then within a minute or so we were sipping champagne at the theatre. Fast valet, check-in, room service and even brought up wine glassses because I couldn't figure where they were in the drawer ;-} October 30, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Accomodated our requests Party of 3 families travelling with babies, the Westin kept us together in adjoining rooms with cots ready. Great rooms and location accompanied by wonderful 5* service. The global contact centre that took my reservation is excellent, communicated my requests, which were all accomodated by the hotel. Rated 4 out of 5 by WiFi Problem & Misinformed While the room and facilities were impeccable, I was very disappointed by not having WiFi access in the lobby after being told it was available and functioning. Staff were unable to help me. I was first told to check my settings to see if my Apple computers were blocking access. I subsequently learned that there was a wireless conversion being done, and it was delayed with technical problems. I would have appreciated being told up front, instead of wasting my time dealing with it as MY problem (as a way of diverting accountability?). While I was offered access to the business center, it was difficult and tedious to locate, and the computers there were extremely slow. My need was for WiFi access because I was using an iPad, and wanted to send photos to friends. Again, I would have been satisfied if I had been told the truth about a technical problem the hotel was having, rather than being misled by staff. Other than this unacceptable scenario, the Westin Sydney is a fantastic property. March 31, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great city location. This is the 2nd visit to this hotel, and both visits have been very comfortable. Staff are friendly, rooms are clean and very tidy. Bathroom facilities are great, could do with a hair straightner in the room as well. The location of the hotel was excellent. Glad to come back and stay once again. August 27, 2013

It was quiet, room was clean, great night sleep in comfortable bed which was important since I was there on business. Next time I come to Sydney for work I will stay there again. August 28, 2012

Located right in the middle of the Central District close to nice restaurants, caffes and nice shops and malls! Only complain was the lack of complimentary water! Everything else was suoerb! Room was beautifully decorated, the only thing which wasn;t good was a sound like they were sanding the room next to me. It was in the evening when I arrived as well as the next morning when I left, that was disappointing. For the rest very very good. June 18, 2012

In my wildest dream, I did not think I would be able to use my SPG points for this night, however true to their "No Black Out" policy, the Westin Sydney gave me a room on my Points (normally selling for $800.00). The staff were only to eager to do anything to help improve our stay and the rooms and beds were extremely comfortable. The Mosaic Restaurant is also fabulous and well worth a visit. Rated 3 out of 5 by Noisy Room Room 609 - thumping noise started in the wall at approximately 1230am and continued at 3-4 minute intervals and was still going when I checked out. Staff member supplied ear plugs about 130am but still unable to block noise and no offer to move rooms or check on the cause. very dissappointing April 2, 2012

Same comments for restaurant on level one...I understand the high minimum wage in Sydney, but Westin service standards should be indifferent to this. January 29, 2013

We enjoy the healthy choices at breakfast, the lovely rooms, the heavenly beds and the great location. Every staff member we met were friendly, helpful and approachable. A five star experience.
