Rated 2 out of 5 by Hotel is run like a sleeper train You get on, you sleep, you get off. The hotel is probably better for business professionals who don't really have time to enjoy life. Hotel is run like clockwork - robotic, automated, and no personality. As an spg plat, there was almost zero recognition - not even a simple welcome letter. Room is as advertised. Service is extremely prompt and quick - except they have no idea how to turn down a room. When turndown was requested, the housekeeping arrived to ask us what part of the room we needed cleaned. That's very poor standards for a westin. Breakfast was extremely crowded and busy and noisy. It's like dining in a train at peak hour. View of the cathedral from the bay window of certain rooms. Stayed here twice and will never return again. This hotel does not fit its brand. Doesn't feel like a starwood property, although sadly this makes no difference in the near future. Concierge at the lobby was helpful though. Library looks cool but was closed and deserted with no staff and no service during my stay. #starwoodproud #spglife July 5, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by Loved this Hotel Loved our Deluxe Spa Room, great view of Collins and Swanston Streets, the bed was so comfortable and our bathroom was beautiful. We spent our 20 year anniversary there and the room was one of the best I have stayed in Melbourne. June 6, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by very good location hotel My husband and I spent 4 nights in the Westin Melbourne. The hotel is with great location, 3 minutes walk to free tram station, Flinders Street Station, eating places, shops and gardens etc. Convenient distance from major centers. Room is big and clean, we would definitely stay here again. April 6, 2016

Great room with a little balcony, big space and small details that matter (like the green soap leaf in the bathroom). Will repeat if back there! March 19, 2016
