Rated 5 out of 5 by excellent service As an attendee for infusioncon2013, where 2300 people were meeting on the exact same schedule, I was concerned about the short break times alloted between sessions. But, thanks to the Westin Hospitality team, every meal was prepared and served in such a way as to move over two thousand people thru buffet lines that never backed up, never stalled, and moved with time to enjoy the excellent meals provided and to have extra time to network and relax. . Rated 3 out of 5 by disapointed We were disappointed with the view we had as a rewards member. It overlooked a roof top. Staff would not change our room. Movies did not work, got charged for it when told it would not appear on invoice. Scale and light up mirror did not work it took 2 days to get them exchanged. Housekeeping was great. July 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this place. We were lucky and got a view of the golf course. The room was very clean and the bed was so confortable. The pool, lazy river and slide were also a nice touch to our trip. We didn't get a chance to eat on site but do plan to next time we stay here. Everything that is offered from "Food Truck Fridays" and the basketball courts made us not want to leave. July 7, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Do not stay here Not sure where to start but this hotel has many issues. Room was wrong type, TV's didn't work, bill was wrong, was asked for a credit card while dining at one of the restaurants before we even ordered, toilet paper holder fell off the wall, shower handle barely worked. This hotel looks like a 4 or 5 star hotel but is operated like a motel 6. July 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beth the room and hotel were excellent. two things that disappointed us were the loud music show they did outside our window (until 10pm) we are early risers - therefore we are in bed by 9pm. Also how hot the brick deck was at the pool - my husband works on pools for a living and he said there should be some kind of cool deck at least on the main pathway around the pool. June 30, 2014

We had 4 phone calls at $2.00 each charged to our room which we did not make. This was brought up to the front desk and they removed the charges. Thank you. July 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Only Place to Stay I had only heard good things about Westin Kierland, but after experiencing the Resort for myself, its the only place to stay. Staff extremely helpful, accommodations excellent, pet friendly, and the golf courses #1. Give everyone a raise! July 29, 2014

Restaurants, room comfort (particularly bed and pillows), all the amenities the resort has to offer, these are the many reason to stay at the Westin Kierland and keep coming back! July 21, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great hotel other than the "Go Green" package This is a beautiful hotel. My only disappointment was the Go Green option. This was not explained to me at check in & unfortunately, I did not read the card clearly that was on my bed. I thought I was opting out of having clean linens daily (clean towels/sheets) which I was fine with.Beware-it means no new coffee each day, a dirty sink and an un-made bed everyday (what's green about that?). I was also told you can't opt out once in. Why? August 12, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Pool walking areas need improvement. The air conditioning in my room was not working properly. The air never got below 70 in the room. The mini refrigerator was broken. I spoke to Shane, he will be giving me a complimentry night. Still waiting to get that email. The other issue is with pool area. Since part of the area has brick pavers not cool decking, it makes it very hard to walk around with no shoes. It's extremely hot. Be careful with small children, it will burn them. June 16, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Lovely surroundings The Westin Kierland is a very pretty resort, nice amenities and great location. It is next to two shopping centers with excellent restaurant choices. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to travelers coming into the Scottsdale area for sure. July 27, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Club level room We have stayed at the Kierland in the past and upgraded to the club level for the continental breakfast and happy hour. We did again this time and were disappointed to discover the happy hour no longer existed. There were specials in the restaurant lounge but they were available to all guests, not those in the club level. I'm not sure it was worth the additional expense for free continental breakfast. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Time We had a great weekend! Drink service at adult pool over the weekend was not good though. It wasn't only us, several people were frustrated, took about 45 minutes to order a cocktail. You almost had to grab a waiter to get an order in. July 28, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Dr. Wayne Fujita, dermatologist from Hawaii Very poor control in main pool area. Attendants allow guest to save places by placing multiple towels on all shaded seats, and then guests never sit in seats- we had to leave pool area due to intense heat and sun exposure, when most of the seats were reserved but not occupied. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great experience but... I am a fan of this brand and recommend it frequently. However i was disappointed with my recent experience at the Deseo rstr in Scottsdale. The staff forgot to provide us one of our dishes on the New Year's Eve prix fixe. After we pointed it out, we were asked "if we still wanted it". Then when we received the dish it was incomplete and had to be returned. Minor issues overall but disappointing when you consider a $350 dinner for 2. January 1, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Absolute paradise We went for a wedding and loved this hotel. The setting is incredible, easy access to shopping and restaurants. The service was exceptional all except for the main restaurant. The service there was really slow to none. Room service was twice as fast. Great pool area with lots of seating. I have been to other resorts where you have to be up at the crack of dawn to get a seat by the pool, here you have choices. Great place to relax. October 3, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Hotel is a maze There were three main issues I had staying here which caused me not to refer people here or wish to stay here again. 1. The bathroom smelled like mildew. I am sure this was caused by a shower drain that has not been cleaned out for a long time. I spent $400 the first night and $200 and night for the next 3 nights. I expected much more. 2. The hotel is a mega maze. I've never gotten lost going to my room so much as I did this past week. 3. Directions or signage to show where restraints are. We had to ask several people where the Restraunts were just so we could eat. My experience locating somewhere to eat should be easy and intuitive. Instead, I was frustrated and went to bed one night gingery. We ended up dinning out every evening somewhere else. Because of this experience I won't stay here again or recommend the hotel / resort TK anyone. Thanks, Troy March 30, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic restful visit The Westin Kierland is a luxurious hotel and spa that has a fantastic atmosphere. The setting on the edge of a golf course looking out to the mountains was breath taking anytime of day. The staff were courteous and friendly. The food was delicious, especially the breakfast buffet with a wonderful selection of fresh fruit and pastries every morning. The Agave Spa was a heavenly experience. I have never felt more relaxed in my life. March 26, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Casita Suite Excellent location, a couple of questions I would have to the staff... 1) Staying at such a nice resort, seems odd that there is a Plunger located right next to the toilet... 2) Having a Casita Suite, I would at least expect to have some stock of kitchen type products and a microwave. I usually get a microwave when I stay in way less expensive and less "stature" type of hotel. Huge refrigerator and no means to reheat anything. October 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Total Relaxation in a Beautiful Setting My husband and I spent four nights here over Thanksgiving and everything was top notch. The Thanksgiving Buffet itself was opulent and tasty. My husband loved the golf course, I used the Westin Workout and walked to the shops next door to the hotel. The holiday light show was a real treat for kids AND adults! The staff is friendly and the hotel is clean and beautiful. The Kierland is a good choice for both couples and families. December 2, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Flow Rider Overall the hotel was good.; about what I expected. However, the 2 Staff that assisted my children on the Flow Rider were exceptional. Zack was one of the staff and his partner (sorry, forgetting his name). They were in sync with one another, high energy and patient. Their kindness, excited my 2 boys so much they can't wait to go back next year. Nice work guys. June 22, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Flow rider Our trip to the Westin was grandma and grandson week. We came for the flow rider. My grandson will remember this trip he took with his grandma for life. My grandson said that Zach was the best instructor for the flow rider. He was tipped accordingly.we will tell a friend and I will be back with the next grandkid. Rated 2 out of 5 by Such a disappointment A towel in my room was torn and looked like someone's rag, the shower in the room next to mine was louder than my shower, service in bar and restaurant were so slow that I had to get up and get my own drinks from the bar and pour my own coffee, told consierge of my concerns and she said the manager would call me. Hah. What a laugh. I KNEW no one would call me. Ridiculous for such a high end place to be such a disappointment. March 4, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Disappointed The view out our room was a view of all roof! When asked to light the fire pit we were ignored so after a hour we lit it ourselves! We were also informed by the waitress around the fire pit that it wasn't her job to get us drinks but she had no problem serving the other fire pit! Our Queen size bed seemed like a double! When talking to management about the issues we were offered dinner to make it all go away! DISAPPOINTED October 19, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Room and location The hotel is quite nice and has a comforting glow. However, there are rooms that have little or no view, such as those ending in 08. Stayed in room 4008 and had a view of a rooftop and conference room entrance door. One would have hoped being an SPG member that a better room would have been available, especially in mid-August heat. Hotel's location allows walking even in extreme heat to local restaurants and shopping. August 13, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Going on the cheap We have stayed at several Westin resorts and villas, and it felt as if on this trip, the resort is trying to cut corners. we had no robes in the room, we had to ask for shampoo after 3 days, they had a survey asking if we would consider cutting room service for a 5.00 per day discount. Are you serious? Second, there were no perks available for owners, other than meal discount. Usually, owners are treated like VIP's. March 27, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Ant infestation We just came back from our stay at the Westin. I have never been so disappointed in a vacation and I was hoping someone could contact me on a few things. We had an ant infestation, water balloons thrown at us from the balcony, it was not as relaxing as it should have been, Service on the patio was slow, they forgot a drink asked twice and still charged us for it. no pool side activities like previous years. . Rated 5 out of 5 by Loved how they welcomed our dog We enjoyed every part of this resort. They welcomed our Saint Bernard (Dog) with his own bed pillow, dog bowls, and clean up bags. They thought about our room location and where we could walk our furry family member, which was a beautiful grassy area right off our patio next to the golf course. Our kids had a wonderful time with all the ammenities and Fun staff games. A truly great experience was had by all. June 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by A little disappointed We were upgraded to a villa. Thank you. The top of the refrigerator was dirty. There was an old tennis ball on the couch. The kitchen had no utensils, paper towels, plates or glasses. The refrigerator had no ice cube trays. The pull out couch was not made up on time even though we asked twice. You were full this week and we understand that. We have become spoiled, and this was not up to previous experiences. November 26, 2012
