Rated 5 out of 5 by Sweet Westin And additional touch to the Westin perfection was given by the colorful and tasty candies available at all times at the reception!!! The staff always caring about customers' needs, both in the restaurant and at the reception desk where especially I'd like to underline the kindness of Reaz towards me. Bottles of water and very good facilities in the room. I liked a lot the large suface around the sink where I could put all my products. Large selection of tasty food at the restaurant. Some shops inside the hotel. Definitely in contrast with the city just outside, beautiful and sweet Westin Dhaka! October 25, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Westin Dhaka. The hotel has great food, decent features and very warm and welcoming employees. Good place for work and leisure. Must stay for once at least to experience the genuineness. October 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Anthony Gomes I must praise two staff that I have encountered most; Mr. MIZAN at the restaurant and Mr. SUVASHISH from the concierge, their hospitality is outstanding...the humbleness that I experienced I give the same example to my staffs when to advise them for better customer experience...every time I visit westin Dhaka my experience gets better..I praise all of them but these two are my favorite. ...I wish them all the best and a good life with the blessings of the all Mighty... Rated 3 out of 5 by Business traveller Turkey Good hotel in embassy area.I upgraded to a nice suite in check in for being SPG platinum guest.Very good lounge facilities in club was best room I have stayed in dhaka.Room was a bit noisy in rush hours due to car horns,it is disturbing.there is a good italian restaurant on top floor of hotel but it is absurd rate is around double price of a similar hotel in Southeast Asia area. Most disturbing they charge 26% tax on top of room rate.and conversation rate of USD is 5 % more than market a result you are getting additional almost 35 % on your room rate taxes, commissions etc. June 27, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Decent by way overpriced. I stayed at this hotel in early June. I must say, it first I was extremely happy. Although I didn't get upgraded, and I should have as suites were available (I always check this as I am checking in) I was very happy with the club lounge and food. They were excellent. There was a man (unfortunately I have forgotten his name) in the club lounge who was super friendly and actually was the highlight of my stay. I have traveled to very many SPG hotels, and as an Ambassador, that man in the club lounge really made you feel like a VIP. It was almost as if he was genuinely proud to have me there. So thanks to that man for being the highlight of my stay. The hotel itself is nothing special. Simple, doesn't really feel like a westin, not very modern. But I guess you can't really expect too much. The prices are outrageous. Eating in the hotel prices are outrageous. Basically prices you would pay in Europe. I extended my stay at the hotel due to business, and during the second stay I demanded a suite. Which I did stay in. However, had a friend stay with me, and they ended up charging me a double occupancy rate. I always thought you were allowed 2 people in a room regardless of rate. After much argueing I got a rate of 80$ extra for my friend to stay with me. I thought it was rediculous. The hotel rate I was paying was already about $210++ a night and they still charged a double occupancy rate. First time I have ever had this. Bottom line is, you are better off going to four points of you are an SPG member. It's cheaper, and honestly, apart from the club lounge, it would be not much different. It left a very sour taste in my mouth when I left this hotel. I definitely will NEVER return. However, I would personally like to thank that man in the club lounge who imprinted a fine image on how hotel staff should work. Thank to that man June 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by A restful stay in the middle of Dhaka Close enough to the airport (25 minutes) but in the middle of the Gulshan neighborhood. The car entrance is a bit restrictive, but the hotel lobby and meeting areas are spacious and beautiful. I found the rooms nicely furnished and the amenities were perfect. The executive lounge had a better than average breakfast and so did the restaurant downstairs. I would definitely stay there again if I travel to Dhaka. June 4, 2015
