Rated 4 out of 5 by Westin Warsaw Perfect location for my needs and for Warsaw Old Town May 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Location This hotel is in a great location in Town and has access to many Public transports or within walking distances to major sights. May 20, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Elevator Really, I do not understand how in the 21st century is it possible that only 3 elevators are in a 20 story building (and one out of order!), and they are so slow, that it takes 10-15 minutes to reach your destination within the building. May 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by The WestIn Warsaw, giving it another try convinced me to come again Introduction : I choose the Westin and this gave me the opportunity to review the Westin a second time. Dates of stay: From October 26th till 28th 2012. Extended to 29th. The Exterior: Stunning elevator on the corner of the building which make it look like NYC. Looks very nice specially at night of course with all the lights. Otherwise, the building is average. The Area: It is at walking distance from the new part of the town where you'll find shopping malls, business buildings. A cheap taxi will take you in 5 minutes to the Old town unless you want to walk for 20 minutes which is the way to go, when it's not freezing. I have to say that in term of area, the Westin is not the best spot. The Interior: I was disappointed again about the lobby, I mean how it looks. It seems a little « sad » and oldish, but that wasn't a surprise of course as I already came here. It's a quite cold atmosphere. The bar and the restaurant are open spaces in the lobby which doesn't give them a warm ambiance. The rooms corridors are nice though. The check in: Much better than my previous experience. Could be because I'm a platinum member now though. I was very welcome to change the room as I wanted a smoking one. Although I asked for a change, I was still offered an upgrade and got an executive suite. The room: Room number 1911. It's an executive one bedroom suite very close to the executive lounge. The smoking rooms/suites have no possibility to open a window, not even a little bit, so it is quite smelly but as a smoker I can't complain of course. Fantastic view over the town from the 19th floor once again. There is a separate restroom in the hallway then you enter the living room which is very well furbished and nice to stay in. I have one remark thought: the work desk is not in the living room but in the bedroom which makes no sense to me as I want to avoid to smoke in the bedroom. Anyway, the bedroom is nicely sized, even if the desk takes some space. Another hallway is giving access to large closets and the bathroom. The AirConditioning/Heating: Perfectly working and separate controls for the living room and the bedroom which is a must. The Bathroom: Amenities were great and in quantity. The space is large enough. Separate tub but no hand shower, only a wall mounted one, consisting in a couple of showers in fact. There is also a large bath with hand shower.go figure why they never put it in the tub. It features another toilet. Really nice bathroom. The Bed: Loved it. King size and comfortable. The Breakfast: In the executive lounge, 19th floor. Good breakfast, included in the price. Almost everything you can desire is there and if not, the friendly staff will prepare it for you (eggs). Coffee machine with excellent espresso, cafe creme, cappucino. I have to say that this Executive Lounge Breakfast is really top notch. The Room Service: Fast and friendly. Had dinner several times and the food was very tasty. The Restaurant(s): Not tested this time The Executive/Business Lounge: Very nice place to sit and talk with friends or business partners. 4 different sofas + many tables. Soft drinks, coffee, fruits and pastry all day long. Strong branded alcohols between 6 and 8 PM and appetizers. Stunning view. Check out: Nothing but perfect. A 4 PM check out without any charge was offered and even a 6PM if I wished. I really liked: The elevator! The staff which seems to be much better than it was during my first stay. The food and wine for room service. Great all the way. I really disliked: The smoking room with no chance to let some fresh air enter but that is of course due to the kind of building. My conclusion: Well, as a Starwood member, I will keep the Westin Warsaw on my list I spent a nice time, enjoyed the friendly staff but still the look and feel of the hotel in general is not very warm. Thanks for reading, Cheers Stephane Little update since my last stay: I stayed here again in april 2013 and my stay was perfect. Allthough I am back to Gold from Platinum, I still got a great upgrade of room and services. May 16, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by club lounge Thank you club lounge staff for making normal food finally. For the last few years, it was absolutely terrible. Now you guys are the best. Real food, not all fishy, but beef and chicken, and not some odd game, lamb or venison garbage. May 11, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by First time in Westin..maybe the last too Westin in warsaw was the catastrophe. The room frigde couln not be opened, was making noise and we ended up changing the room(first night). The second day the group of condultants from Brtitain was making awful noise in the Executive lounge during the cocktails. Then the Fusion restaurant was not open even it is said on the web site that they have fish buffee every Thursday. We were offered food not the buffee, and seating in the bar side... The duty manager was just sorry...well this have not really been 5 star hotel.... May 2, 2013
