As a SPG gold member, I can tell you this is the worst SPG hotel that I ever stay. They will not honor the room rate they commited to you and chaning their price anytime. And, their answer is "The price is depending on the demand of their rooms" - This is way they are doing business!

We are frequent travelers to Kuala Lumpur and checked in the Westin first time in May last year and since then we have stayed there 8 times and in total more the 75 nights. For us it is our home from home. Everything is possible here and nothing is a problem! The staff is extremely friendly, the business-lounge great and we are always given a great room.

Stay at Westin KL is very refreshing. Had a very pleasant check-in experience, got the desired room upgrade to view the twin towers. Entire lobby/concierge staff are friendly and pleasant. Enjoyed splash food and setting. Location is great. This hotel is also kid friendly, my kids enjoyed Kids club. Great experience, I truly recommend a stay at this hotel

As per my expection and I fall in love into WESTIN bed and the room comfort for the first time I stay in 2009 until now. It has been my pleasure to stay there as all my rated as above. It has been a while that I have not stayed in WESTIN and my last stay was 2 weeks ago.
I have few comments here:-
1. The room need to be kept and it is getting older and lots of peel off. It need to be maintained.
2. I am very particular in the room allocation and as we are the preferred guest card holder, but yet we are getting much much lower level, whereas for those who are the first timer (non SPG member), they manage to get until executive level. It is something to be look into or maybe Westin staff have a reason for that?
3. Requested twice for a bathrobe before 11 pm and it arrive at 0030 hrs (after I slept).
But, overall, I still like to stay in Westin, It will be my first choice if I am travelling in business trip.

Maybe I expected too much. However, being priced at the higher end for hotel in KL, I've my expectation.
Breakfast is average. The spread, quality and presentation. The way the spread are being organized is not good.

The location of the Westin is excellent. The staff at the hotel are courteous and most helpful. Two things i would wish the hotel would improve on. TV channels are limited. So it would be nice if you add more channels to satisfy the different taste of your guests. The other thing is the food portions are small. It would be great if improve on it a bit.

Special thanks to Ms Mandy Ooi for her assistance in taking duch good care of us on our stay. Hotel is well run and met or exceeded expectations with one exception, that of the service in the Westin executive lounge. Looks great, food good, service sub par. Management was notified and I am sure it has been addressed. Great place, great stay.

The location of the Westin Kuala Lumpur is fantastic. You are spoilt for choice for shopping centres, restaurants and tourists attractions.
The welcome received and the general friendliness of the staff at the Westin, did not make an impression on me.
The temperature of the swimming pool was very cool, I was not able to stay in the water very long.

I stayed in Westin KL about 3-4 times a year and each time, the service has been superb. I've never been disappointed. A special thank you to the Westin Executive Lounge staff who has made the stay at Westin a very pleasant one. A special mentioned to Odie, Sayed, Elaine and Chef Jemian who are true assets to your hotel. Keep up the good work!!

Despite it being a Ramadan month, the service was great. The staff are friendly, courteous, always with a smile. Shopping is just on the other side of the road. Located at the heart of the golden triangle is a definite advantage. My family and I even walked to Plaza Low Yat for some IT shopping. And the food was great. What more can one ask for?

This is my second stay at this hotel, both stays have not lived up to my expectations.
On my first stay my room selection was not available and I was asked to wait an hour until another the room was ready.
During my 2nd stay, my room was not available again. This time i was made to wait nearly 3 hours, despite chasing the staff several times.

Compared to peers (Sheraton, Le Meridien), breakfast has the most limited option
After my stay, I forgot whether did the staff provided me a check-in free gift

This is an excellent business hotel. The staff are courteous and invariably anticipate your needs. The club lounge is exceptional and has 2 conference rooms connected to it. The location of the hotel is ideal for a quick exit from the city to the South and is directly across the street from a shopping mall, restaurants, coffee shops and bars.

I was so impressed after reading the welcome compendium! Every single request goes to the Service Express. With one touch, I got my bottle of water replenished, coffee creamer, In room dining and I'm so surprised they even assisted me with a pizza order from Prego! Well done Service Express team, you got my calls answered within 3 rings!

I always happy to stay in Westin since Westin location always close to the Big Shopping Center. Like in Houston - TX- USA, Westin is located in the Galleria Mall and in Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia, Westin is located in front of Pavilion, one of the most prestigious mall in Malaysia. I also always happy to Westin's services to me as a guest.

The Westin signature bed? this is something you cannot miss!!!!
The breakfast buffet - the BEST ever hotel breakfast I had!!!!!! It's a shame I did not have enough time to try their other restaurants!!!

The room atmosphere appears to be well maintained (fantastic!).... however when you get into the nitty gritty of comfort in what I pay for is not there....
An example will be the Heavenly Bed - it appears to be a little worn out and i can feel the springs of the bed when i sit on the bed... As compared to my previous stay at Westin Shenzhen, the texture bed sheets used in Westin KL is alot more rougher and plastiqy...... i do not feel that it was the luxury kind that were being used as compared to the one in Shenzhen... I would expect it to have a plush kinda feeling but sadly i do not feel so.... pillows used were good. but the sheets do not feel good at all.
Further to note... the attitude of the staff who checked me in was horrible. HE did not even show me the direction to my room... which caused me to run around the hotel lobby look for the correct lift is that what you call SPG special treatment ??? I was rather disappointed with how i was treated.

This hotel is very conveniently located in town. Good rooms, good staff. Food should be more traditional than their efforts to make an extraordinary meal that is tasteless.. for some meals.
Business center should have more extended working hours though.
Good breakfast buffet with excellent croissants!

Me and my students from all over China, Hong Kong and Taiwan were actually had our 5 days celebration trip in KL and Penang, we spent our last evening at The Westin Kuala Lumpur, we love the 30th floor room and we enjoyed the Twin Tower view from our room. We really had a memorable evening there. Thanks to The Westin Kuala Lumpur.

2 issues with this hotel
1) I booked a king size bed but only good 2 twin beds...with a door separating from another room.
2) i had neighbors that were loud at 2am in the morning. When I complained to front desk, they called them but that didn't do anything. The front desk didn't seem to care that I had a horrible night sleep.

It was our 4th stay at Westin KL and the service is still wonderful. My daughter really loves the ladies at the kids club and all the staff are extremely pleasant and welcoming. I even tried the Westin run for the first time and it was great. I must say the breakfast has improved markedly from when we last visited. Well done!

I stayed in Westin KL from 10th June to 13th June.
On the 1st night of my stay, I realized that the bed sheet did not cover the entire mattress; so the next day, I placed the Linen Change Card on the bed so that the bed sheet will be made properly when the staff is changing the bed sheet.
To my surprise on the 2nd night, I found the bed sheet was still in the same or similar position. This made me think if the bed sheet was too small to cover the mattress or if the staff ignored the Linen Change request.
I gave a feedback to the hotel on this issue.
The following day, I had a knock on the door and realized it was the staff who are in charge of cleaning up my room. He start asking me what was my complain about with him and I was shocked.
Does the hotel condone such an action to be taken? What if it was a female guest and she get intimidated by this stunt?
When I checked out, I informed the front desk about my bad experience and have not heard from them since then.

If you are looking for a good hotel in KL then the Westin should fit the bill. Service is excellent.
Everything was clean. Only quibble was that the shower was too shower and awkward to get in and out of.
Otherwise, everything was good.
Fabulous location. Location really makes it a standout. So close to everything.

Slow to response and did not feedback of the internet connection status, waited for an hour plus and when called up, gave the same update. Extremely unacceptable as business traveller, internet connection is crucial for me to do my work.
All restaurant area was closed for function and no where to eat, except in room

I have reserved a king size bed. it is no good to tell me the hotel is fully booked and I need to stay in a double bed rooms. It seems that it is not helpful to make reservation in advance. I am very unhappy with such arrangment. What is the point of making reservation and what is the benefir of being a member?!?!?!

I have been staying at this hotel for the past one month, on a very regular basis however none of the SPG points has been credited. I was asked to submit a missing stay claim on SPG every time I asked the reception about this - but should this be the norm?
Appreciate if this type of work flow is reviewed and fixed.

Great location especially for leisure travellers. Services were great too. Checking in and out was quick and smooth.
I requested for some arrangement in the room as it was a special day for me and my partner. The staff at Westin Host went an extra mile and gave us more than what I asked for which was fantastic.
