Rated 5 out of 5 by Very relaxing weekend My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing night away at the Westin Cape Town. Everything bout the stay was very enjoyable and comfortable. The room was large with fabulous views of the city. The bathroom was spacious with a fabulous shower. The bed was VERY comfortable. The spa also boasts the most amazing views whether in the sauna, pool or hot tub. Did not have time for a treatment unfortunately. We ate in ON19 and enjoyed a delicious meal with attentive service. Breakfast the next morning was the perfect way to start to the day with a delicious variety of food available. The freshly juiced spinach and papaya juice is a must! August 25, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Dissapointments in 5 star Hotel My rooms kettle was not working, had to be replaced. The hairdryer was out of order, had to be replaced. Housekeeping did not replace the used tea bags, I had to phone them to replace. I order room service, food was very good but salt pot had no salt. My room did not have any 'Do not disturb' sign, I had to create a handwriiten one. At the breakfast table, the salt pot had salt but was so clogged from damp weather, did not run. All in all, very mediocre experience except for good food and friendly service. August 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by A Must Stay in Cape Town We arranged pick up from the airport through the hotel as we were getting in late. Our driver was on time and promptly delivered us to the hotel. Our room was upgraded to a corner suite with a gorgeous view of Table Mountain and the Wharf. The room was functionally well designed and beautifully decorated. It seems everything for a guest's comfort had been considered including the amply sized bathroom with separate toilet, shower and dressing room and heated floors! The executive lounge was also beautifully designed and amply sized for a large number of guests and the food selections for breakfast and cocktail hour were outstanding. Our best memory of the hotel will be the warm congenial staff who made us feel so comfortable and welcome. We truly regretted saying goodbye to them when we left. August 24, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic Hotel I really enjoyed my recent stay as the staff were just fantastic from check in to check out. I was very grateful for the SPG upgrade with access to the lounge with amazing views and top notch food & service. Hotel itself is modern & sophisticated yet approachable. The shuttle to V&A Waterfront is really convenient and the driver was super friendly. I would definitely stay here again. August 2, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Spacious and modern hotel Overall a great experience ! Stayed 1 nite only Few issues : Shower : 1.flow was not adequate and cud not obtain the the right temperature easily 2.Drain placed in wrong area as one had to literally stand on it while showering ! 3. Only 1 soap provided , one really needs 2! Curtains Drawing the curtains was not easy as one had to b careful not to damage them and it would not concertina gracefully , also the 2 drapes on the right were fixed ... Disappointing ! Also the metal at bottom of the drape was sticking out and can easily hurt someone! Additional tissue dispenser at the pedestal at headboard wud have been welcomed! August 4, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Still needs improving! I stayed here in 2010 while attending a conference, and chose to do so again for another conference at the CTICC. I had reserved an executive room with a king size bed, and got one with twin beds. It was changed the next day, but to a room on a SPG floor instead of an executive floor. The SPG desk remained unmanned throughout my stay, meaning that we had to join the general queue (why have a preferred desk if it's not used?). On the one occasion that I went to the executive lounge, the receptionist was so frosty I did not return. All in all, this is a nice hotel, but it failed to reach the standards that I associate with the Westin brand. April 19, 2013
