Rated 4 out of 5 by Great hotel for City tours or business Everything was fine, except the parking Situation. Often the parking space Close to the Hotel is reserved for Special Meetings etc. This is not friendly to all other guests. August 21, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by It is a motel and not a Westin Hotel Unlike the name, there is nothing Westin about the hotel, in terms of room, bed, service. The beds are old German bed, lumpy and uncomfortable. What they call kingsize bed is two single beds put together. Food in the restaurant are terrible. The service is typically old style of being rude, crude and unfriendly. July 11, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Better in mild weather The hotel staff is quite friendly; I was upgraded to a large corner suite that was very nice. The bed was not up to "heavenly bed standards". there is no coffee or tea in the room and not even a bottle of water for a SPG lifetime platinum member. The gym is very good and there is a nice pool that is 3 euros to use. The weather was cold and the room would not get warm; my colleagues in other rooms had the same experience. The heat is radiant making it difficult to control temps. This would be okay in mild weather but in Cold or Hot the absence of forced air ventilation is not good. After two nights I could not take the cold and uncomfortable bed and moved to another hotel. December 10, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Modern Hotel The hotel was renewed and has lightly modern rooms. the bathrooms on Level 17 are big enough and the rooms has a nice view over Leipzig. the breakfast was avarage and the tables a little bit too close to each other. July 18, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Upgraded! Many thanks for upgrading me to the suite was a very nice experience, especially as I stayed 10 days Overall, the comfort is excellent. Only regret is the poor usability of y=the shower and spa, as the water temperature was very difficult to set. It would be very good thing to switch to single mixer rather than separate hot/cold water July 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Overall Excellent Hotel I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel, due to various factors: the very friendly staff, the amazing design and atmosphere of the hotel, rooms and bars. Also the location being in walking distance of the train station and city centre makes this the perfect hotel for both business and leisure. December 2, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by One of worst Westin in Germany. I'm traveling around Germany for work and leisure. I've been many Germany SPG properties and I can say that this is the worst SPG property in Germany. Staffs are so arrogant and seems like didn't want to help their customers. They didn't explain what I can do with platinum amenity and Plat breakfast as bread and coffee(+juice) only. August 20, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent location This hotel is in a great location walking distance from the train station, the zoo and a short walk to the city center. Pros- As a platinum member with SPG I was given a free bottle of water each day, snacks at the bar between 6 - 7 each evening. Free coffee, tea and non-alcoholic drinks at the bar. I had a room with a balcony so I had 2 views one of the city and the other view of the zoo side. I also had free internet. Cons- I had to ask for a facecloth there was none provided in the room. No green choice program. I had breakfast included in my stay. There was cheese, tomatoes, bacon, eggs(scrambled and hard boiled), bread, cold cuts, juices, cereal and cake. I found the service a bit slow in the breakfast area Room tip - If you have a glass shower in your room, please be careful when getting out the floor on the shower area can get slippery. The lobby is very big and the staff are friendly and helpful. You have to take an elevator to the swimming pool. As a platinum member I did not have to pay to access this area. Otherwise it is 3Euros. June 20, 2014
