Rated 5 out of 5 by Just amazing! Stunning property... Check in was very smooth and the staff very professional. I stay in the club level and the room was amazing, cleaned, comfortable, view was gorgeous. The restaurant Aqua was a perfect place to for breakfast and for some drinks... Natalie our server was very professional. I work for this industry and your resort is stunning and clean. The white tea smell is so refreshing... Just a simple detail, when i book and i select the club level and never saw any comment about the Club level lounge been closed until December. I knew it when i check in. I understand that things happens but i will definitely coming back for another great weekend and i will recommend this resort to everyone. Thank you for your hard work... November 24, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Solid property close to airport When in Tampa and need a place to stay that is close to the airport and local attractions, the Westin is more than a decent option. Clean,and quiet (despite the construction) this property has all the amenities you would expect from a Westin. The restaurant, sleeping rooms, and workout facility are above average. The staff professional. The location convenient. Only drawback is that the property not necessarily near any local atttractions. However, a shuttle service brings folks to places like the mall and other nearby options. October 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful Experience The Westin Tampa Bay experience was the best. Angela (Westin front desk attendant) checked us in and provided superb attentiveness and service. The entire staff from the moment we arrived was excellent. The onsite restaurant AQUA is great - food and service is very good. All amenities and cleanliness is exactly what is it should be - A+. It was my birthday and my fiancé proposed in the same week so I felt like a queen, and Angela continued the excellent service for me throughout the weekend. THANK YOU! October 20, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Recent Stay Staff was unfriendly and the hotel itself was dirty and in poor condition particularly the restaurant. I watched the bartender rummage around looking at four different glasses before he found one that looked semi-clean. The outdoor area was unkempt and there was liter laying around. I travel for work almost every week and usually stay at Marriotts or Hiltons. This stay did not inspire me to make a change. October 18, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Watch Out SPG Gold/Platninum Don't stay here, rude staff at front desk. Stay downtown Westin. This property is not Corporate owned and they treat you like no one. I am Platinum member and Lifetime Gold. Bad service, poor customer service, was asked to go to another property. They wouldn't accept the corp code for reservation (we had proper ID). This is under protest with AMX, and SPG and I wouild never stay here again. Platinum member for last 10 years at least., October 16, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Hotel for a Great Value I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel, the friendly staff, the convenient location, the awesome indoor pool on which my 7 year old daughter learned how to swim this weekend, the good food and overall our stay. Rated 3 out of 5 by Level of service degrading I stay at this hotel very often, however my recent visit came with many disappointments. 1. They closed the club lounge. Frequent travelers really on these, and I was disappointed to arrive and hear it was closed. They should have communicated with their guests before hand. 2. Apparently, they charge for self-parking now. I have stayed here dozens of times, pulled up in the parking lot and that was that. Never asked a question, never pay for parking. This time around I was asked where I parked, I said outside. I was given a ticket and next thing I know I had a daily parking charge on my bill. Front desk agent never even told me there was a charge, what it was, etc. This is also an unwelcome changed. 3. Three times in one day, the housekeeping staff just walked into my room to service it or drop something off without knocking. I guess they are accustomed to people not being in the room midday. But that made me angry. 4. My platinum status is never recognized. I never receive upgraded room at this location. I think I will change my preferred Tampa hotel on future visits. September 19, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great hotel with some hiccups The property is great. It is located right on the water and has beautiful views of the city. The restaurant is excellent with a wonderful selection of seafood dishes and great drinks at the bar. Our issues were minor, but should be corrected. Two of the three rooms we had were not cleaned for some reason on the Saturday of our stay. Management apologized and we were credited. We dined at Aqua three times during the weekend and on two occasions, our food came out rather cold. Management again apologized and gave us a discount/dessert. With all that said, we definitely enjoyed our weekend and would recommend the hotel/restaurant. Management needs to pay attention to the details, though. The little hiccups we experienced should not occur at a hotel like the Westin. September 16, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by food service at breakfast, the coffee was super strong and we both could not drink it, when we mentioned it to the server, he took the coffee's but never came back with fresh less strong coffee. also the toaster was lousey and the bagel took forever to toast then it came out burnt...not good. The Westin staff in unaware of how to work with business travel and coordinating assistants. I will not be booking business travel with the Westin in the furture. August 29, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by An Excellent Propergy We stayed at the Westin Tampa Bay in conjunction with a Rays/Tigers baseball game (two rooms for one night each). In the past (and primarily for Lightning/Wings hockey games), we have stayed at the Westin Tampa Harbour Island. I now know that there are two outstanding Westin properties in Tampa. I particularly appreciated the service we received at the front desk (I believe it was Carlos that assisted us) as well as that in the restaurant. Overall, both the property and the staff made me very happy to be a Lifetime Platinum SPG Member. August 23, 2014

Adrienne the club attendant was gracious, friendly, personal and helpful. She is a really hard worker and does a fantastic job in the club lounge! You can tell she really loves her job! Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent visit 8/17-18 Arrived at the hotel at 8:15 am. Knew we wouldn't be able to check in until 3 pm. We were told by Angela at the front desk that we were free to use all the amenities and our luggage would be secured. We headed to Aqua for a bite to eat. Angela showed up at 9:15 with our room keys, our luggage had been delivered to our room. She recognized that we were anxious to get settled and made it happen!! That was just the beginning. Our breakfast server was great (sorry I didn't catch his name-he was working the morning of 8/17). Pete, the manager, took time to give us a tour. Bar staff Kim, Austyn, and Ryan all very personable and professional. Gregory, our dinner server, was very knowledgable, his recommendations were spot on (amazing carpaccio and grouper). Will recommend this hotel without hesitation!! Oh, and the best bed ever! August 20, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Facility concerns All of the service, the room, etc were excellent - there is one major concern: there were ALOT of men and women coming in groups/singles that did not appear to be one that a 'family oriented' hotel would enjoy. Praise should be given to Mr. Carlos Quinones he did an excellent job. I will return to this hotel next year because I feel comfortable. August 11, 2014

Love the views from the rooms, love dining at Aqua, and love that they know my name when I walk back in the door!!! Rated 3 out of 5 by My overall stay I rated the stay as average. Also that I would not recommend. The only reason I say that is most of the folks I talk with are business people that travel to Tampa St Pete. The Internet access was a joke. It dropped me constantly or just degraded to a point that it was not usable. I can deal with a lot but when out of town working and inconsistent Internet that is a deal killer. I cancelled my August 25th to 27th stay and moved to another hotel chain. Maybe next time I will try you again. August 4, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not the level of cleanliness I am used to I stayed for 2 nights at the Westin. As I walked the hallway to my room for check in there was a pile of dirty linens laying in the hallway - unacceptable. The second night I found empty drinking glasses sitting in the hallway as well as a plunger for the toilet - this was in the evening, way past the "cleaning" time. This was not good housekeeping and should not have happened. August 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Westin Tampa Bay is an excellent choice! As a traveling consultant I have spent the last 7 months staying at this hotel on a weekly basis. The hotel is very well kept, the rooms were always in an excellent condition and the staff was awesome! This property is in a wonderful location right on the bay and very close to many restuarants and shopping options. I was especially impressed with the staff who was always cheerful and willing to help. A special kudos to the Platinum Lounge staff member (i.e, Mazie) who provided excellent service and great conversation! August 1, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great hotel in a great location near Tampa International I always enjoy staying in this hotel while in Tampa for work. Great wifi and nice amenities, and it's also quite close to International Plaza and Bay Street shopping. My only issue is always with the extremely soft water. It makes it very difficult to remove soap when washing hands or bathing, and also dries skin out. August 1, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Not up to Westin standards Nice hotel; great location. Rooms very nice, though bathroom a bit interesting & worn. Frameless glass shower door didn't fit (close) properly and opened the wrong way (inward instead of outward) and fixtures rattled about for example. Staff very helpful & friendly. No real pool to speak of; the indoor pond was dark and dank. There was no outdoor pool. Food in Aqua was inconsistent. We did have lunch in Aqua which was a very pleasant experience (except the waitress had to be pulled in from another part of the hotel and didn't know much about the menu she was trying to serve - a lovely lady, however, in doing her best)- the 4th of July dinner was, however, very average - nothing to write home about. By far the biggest disappointment (and it was a big one seeing as this is a beach town) was the very subpar bar. The bartenders, while really good guys, seemed to be more or less glorified waiters. They knew nothing about mixology. Literally - unless you asked for something on the VERY limited bar menu, they didn't know how to make it. Even when ordering off the limited bar menu, the drinks were inconsistently made from shift-to-shift. Made one way by one shift, another way by the following shift. Sometimes a garnish, sometimes no garnish. Just VERY poorly done. This is NOT the bartenders fault - it's unquestionably a management failure. The lack of training of Westin bartenders at this hotel was clear - and that's a management problem. I am betting given the entire food & beverage experience we had that there are similar failures in the restaurant. A first rate bar / lounge is achievable - just takes time, effort & focus. For a Westiin Hotel, it was unacceptable, hence the score. Given our experience with the Westin franchise, in general, we expected better. :( July 13, 2014
