first day we checked in the chair was dirty and the seat cushion had lg stains on it. the floor lamp and desk lamp needed new bulbs. guests for the wedding weret old a 3pm check in and didnt get in until 5pm. they had to attend the rehearsal dinner and leave by 6pm. guests were to receive gift bags and some guests did not receive them because they were told there were no more bags. where did they go?? we called for a shuttle from bahama breeze because we had two 80 yr old people with us who couldnt walk it back to the hotel, and 30 minutes later we called again for the 3rd time asking where the shuttle was., we were told it was picking people up at the airport and we could see it from where we were standing at bahama breese! once we told them that we saw the driver run out and jump on the shuttle and come get us. the bride and groom were told if they booked 20 rooms their suite would be free. they book 42 rooms and westin charged them 300 for the suppossed free room! i would never reccommend this hotel to anyone!

Second time staying at the Westin Tampa Bay. Very nice hotel, very comfortable rooms, very clean, all the amenities anyone would want and just a wonderful, friendly staff. I will stay there again and continue to recommend it to friends and colleagues.

I've come to Tampa man times over the years. The last two I've stayed at Westin which has greatly enhanced my stay. The rooms are splendid, staff are helpful and attentive, fitness room just what you need and bar/beach an added bonus on top of the great the location..

Overall the staff and Hotel were great. My problem lies in the room. The sheets and linnen were starched to that sand paper. The towels hurt to use, and sheets were rock hard. On top of that the one of the lights on the night stand was burnt out and would not work.

Our cruise departure was delayed and the staff allowed us to delay our checkout until 3. It was great to be able to relax in our room instead of wandering around a city with our luggage just wasting time. The room was so comfortable and had a great bay view, too.

HOTEL WAS EXCELLENT, ESPECIALLY THE WAITRESS IN THE BAR. SHE DID AN EXCELLENT JOB OF SUGGESTING WHAT TO HAVE FOR LUNCH AND HER SERVICE WAS IMPECCABLE. THE HOTEL IS DEFINITELY 5 STAR IN MY BOOK AND EVERYONE WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE US HAPPY. GREAT JOB!!

Restaurant was horrible - took over 2 hours to get our food which we never ended up getting. Had to basically serve ourselves going back and forth to the bar. We were served warm beer and ended up leaving to eat at the Chart house so our kids could finally get some food. Manager was rude and non apologetic.
The room did not have extra sheets for the pull out couch. We wanted to put our kids to bed at 7:30, called for sheets at this time and the sheets did not arrive to our room until after 8:30. We had to call 3 times for the sheets...our kids ended up going to bed an hour and a half past their bedtime - we had to get up early the next day.
We originally thought the room was clean - until my son dropped a ball under the entertainment system and saw about 10 cough drop wrappers left there (I am sure the amount of dust will give you an indication of how long it's been there - room 916.) The shower leaked leaving a HUGE puddle in the bathroom (we needed to use our towels to soak up the floor.
Overall the stay was a waste. We left all day on Sunday just to stay away from the hotel. We will never be back.

This was an unexpected great hotel experience. Located close to the airport, and offering easy access to both Tampa and St. Pete/Clearwater, the hotel was extremely clean and pleasant to stay at. Would definitely recommend it for short stays in the area.

We loved our stay at the Westin hotel. The room was much more than we expected and the view from our 14th floor was breath taking. The staff was professional, helpful, and friendly. We will definitely come again to enjoy this gem of a getaway. Thank you!

The $5.00 per day charge for unvalet parking for SPG members is NOT acceptable and is a trivial charge.
The fact we were denied an upgrade at check-in (as touted by Starwoods) as a SPG member when the hotel was obviously not crowded is NOT acceptable.

Room was not ready when we tried to check in at 6pm!
No upgrade, no accommodation for very late check in
No mention of breakfast for platinum guests on Executive floor
No discount or accommodation for restaurant breakfast which cost $80 for 3 people.

This hotel is outstanding in regard to location, views, staff and the hotel. It is my favorite hotel in Tampa. Views of the Bay, close to airport and downtown. Nicely decorated and comfortable rooms. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

My husband and I had a 6:00 p.m. function. We arrived at 4:30 p.m. - told room NOT ready. When room was ready - all of the cushions on the sofa and chairs were "up" - we had to assemble the furniture. The mini bar was missing items - not stocked.

The Westin is a upscale luxurious affordable very friendly Hotel. I would recommend it to any one. The one slight negative thing I would say is that they had an outdoor pool. The staff are very polite and professional. Its was a great experience!

I was overcharged day after day even after we left and checked out. I am currently having to deal with our bank and now we dont even have money for Christmas!! The front lobby supervisor dint even offer an upgrade or anything.

Clean rooms, Delightful staff, and Mahi Mahi at the Aqua was some of the best I have ever eaten. I will always stay at the Westin when I come to Tampa for quarterly customer meetings. I feel very comfortable, safe and welcomed.

WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE CLEANLINESS OF THE ROOM. IT WAS ALSO VERY COMFORTABLE AND HAD ALL OF THE AMMENITIES THAT WE EXPECTED. IT WAS LOCATED IN A CONVENIENT LOCATION TO BOTH CLEARWATER AND THE CRUISE TERMINAL AS WELL AS THE DALI MUSEUM.

We have stayed here several times. We travel with our little dog. They are pet friendly! There is a wonderful area set aside for pets to walk. The hotel is immaculate and of course "The heavenly bed"! Beautiful views! Starbucks on site!

I was very happy with this hotel and the staff. I would especially point out that the bell staff was extremely helpful. Kirk was super kind and knowledgeable on fun things to do in Tampa. Yin was also very courteous and helpful, too.

Loved the view from the dining area and a very pretty lounge area with Blue glass...
all other accomodations were as expected.
Nice place to stay and be close to airport with a full service Starbucks.for the early morning java fix :)

I made the wrong location Westin reservation and when I realized at check in what happened, the front desk clerk said no problem and transferred my reservation. Saved me a twenty minute shorter ride to Tampa Airport. great property.

Wonderful hotel with great amenities and beautiful decor! Only downfall is parking, whether you valet or self-park there is a charge either way. Other than that, everything is worth it! Great experience, would definitely go back!

It was nice. The front desk guy was pleasant. I would only upgrade the sheet quality and the towel quality. I would also make some one patrol the halls and collect the dirty dishes there were too many trays in the halls.

We had a blast...went down for a weeding and got the friday, checked out sunday. for a small fee, but an upgrated room. the staff is the best...omg...have not been pampered like we did this weekend. thank you so much!!!!

Very comfortable room and bed. Easy parking and nice gym. The one downfall would be the WiFi service. It is very slow and consistently knocks out of service which it not helpful when you are trying t get work completed.

I reserved adjoining rooms, checked in and placed cc for both rooms. When my second party arrived was put into another room. Hotel grounds not clean up over night. And rooms were not serviced until after 4 pm

My fiance and I recently stayed at the Westin, Tampa Bay. The hotel was absolutely beautiful, clean, and the staff was very friendly. We ate at the hotel resturant, Aqua, which was amazing. We had an excellent bartender there who really took the time to explain menu options and made the experience such a pleasure. The only downfall was that we went to the hotel to stay and specifically look at it as a possible venue for our wedding ceremony and reception, and we felt very "rushed through" the process. We weren't given any prices AT ALL for anything. We didn't go over any menu options, we weren't shown any suites in the hotel, which is most likely where we would be staying on our wedding night, we had to ask to be taken out to the beach part of the hotel where some weddings take place. I honestly received more information from reading the information online on the Westin website. We left with no brochures, no prices, and no list of preferred venues. We have another appointment set up this Saturday, so I hope this visit will be more informative, as we absolutely love the hotel!
