I love the Westin Workout rooms! There are no excuses when staying in one of these rooms. I travel a lot on business and usually don't find time to go to the Fitness Center but having a treadmill or stationery bike in my room makes it so easy!!!!

This was our first trip to Boston and this hotel is beautiful and classy. Our room had a great view of the city skyline. The staff was so accommodating as well and really reassured me that this was a great place to stay. I had contacted the Dir. of Housekeeping, prior to coming to make sure our room was prepared to meet my needs. He went above and beyond to give us a great room and he must have mentioned our upcoming anniversay to the staff because we received a complimentary bottle of champagne our first night. Darlene, one of the concierges was so helpful as well. We'll be back!

Rated 5 out of 5 by TioTim No better service in Boston than at the Westin!
I have been staying at the Westin Waterfront on Summer St since the property opened. It is the best hotel in the city, bar none. The service that the staff delivers is second to none. I regularly stay in hotels in NY, Chicago, Miami and the Westin Boston is tops. The key is the people from Hilaire, James, Bill and Otto at the door to greet you to Tope and the Staff at checkin. The rooms are always clean, always ready, they always deliver!

Rated 4 out of 5 by NESB This hotel has great features
This was my first stay at the Westin. Overall is the hotel is a very good choice. The only negative point is that the hotels tense to be cold in the restaurants and lobby. The internet connection stinks on all counts, and the catwalk to the Exhibition Center should be open to get to ones events and seems to be closed most of the time. Most quests stay there because of events taken place at the Center, so having it closed makes no sense.
Hope this helps!

Rated 3 out of 5 by 9463chick Ridiculous Room Service
I stayed at the hotel on business for one night. I checked in to the hotel after 10pm completely exhausted. Imagine my shock and surprise that although the minibar is locked, it's empty. I wanted a bottle of water and a beer after a long day and my only option was to get it through room service. The water itself was $3.50 but there was a $3.50-$5.00 delivery fee plus an additional 25% in taxes and charges. The additional charges were more expensive than the product. While the hotel itself is beautiful, the lack of in room amenities really seem to lower the quality of the hotel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DF61 Good hotel, convinient location, needs more personality.
The hotel It is very conveniently attached to the convention center and the service was good. The room does not provided internet access forcing guests to pay for Wi-Fi or go to Starbucks. I believe a chain like the Westin should be able to offer this for free. The same goes for the parking or at least offer a discounted price for guests.
Hotel that did not have a fridge in the room .There is something that looks like a fridge, but it does not cool.
No much of a choice of restaurants at the hotel. Only one open for dinner not everyone wants to leave the hotel every night.
The Starbucks personnel at the hotel were very nice.
The name suggests that this would be some kind of water front view facility and is not.

We were very disappointed in our stay which did not meet the standards that we have been accustomed to at Westin proprties. Upon arrival, the room did not have any hand or wash towels. There was no recognition of being a Starwood Preferred Guest in the room. On our second day, the room was not made up at 445 after we were out for the day and we needed to get ready for a wedding. When calling Guest Services, they were very defensive that "we have until 530 to clean your room". This was very unprofessional and rude -- the operator eventually apologized for the inconvienience.

The Westin Seaport Boston made our Birthday Celebration one to remember. A "Welcome Greet" from the Valet and Front Desk started out weekend off to a great start. The hotel is walking distance to all the "outstanding" restaurants at the Seaport area. My husband and I plan to make this an "annual" trip. Thanks for making our stay so memorable.

Fantastic service from the front door at the front desk and all the way through the lobby. All staff members were smiling and friendly, very much appreciated after going to the Denver - Patriots game. Broncos season ticket holder since 1969. Bar staff in the Irish Pub were very friendly as well. Thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by currency Nice Hotel
I am a frequent guest of this hotel and have written other reviews but, I would like to say this is a Gem of a hotel. Its mainly convention/conference hotel but, don't let that bother you, I stay there and the hotel has an excellent staff and MGMT. Staff knows me as I walk through the door and all the people they see they still remember me and call me by my name.
the Fitness Center is good. The location is near the Waterfront where there are a number of great dining places. The only draw back is the vendor that runs two of the hotel pubs, I don't care for this vendor and the vendor's staff. But, one should consider staying at the Westin Waterfront when in town and last point its a nice walk or public transit is near by

Rated 5 out of 5 by CG1013 Great location
The hotel is great. It is located close to the airport and next to the new convention center, which makes it very convenient if you have a big conference going on there. The trolley that tours around Boston stops right at the hotel, which makes it easy to go visit the tourist spots or also it is very close to the MBTA station to go anywhere in Boston. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the new 3pm checkout on Sundays is a great idea for resting and sleeping til a little bit later.

Rated 3 out of 5 by PaulfromCO Many small disappointments
Clean and modern, but many small disappointments. Took me 5 minutes to find room lights in room . Bedside clock wasn't illuminated so couldn't tell time in middle of night (normally use cell phone but no outlet near bed). Outdoor bellhop wouldn't get off his butt when calling a taxi - too busy talking to his teammate. Concierge referred me to "cobblestone" to get a beer on the north side - it turned out to be a deli that didn't serve alcohol. Breakfast was good and reasonable. Very good service at your Irish bar.

Rated 4 out of 5 by archygirl Great Hotel, but far away from it all
I thought that the staff was phenomenal, very accommodating and friendly, superb food onsite. The only downside was the location; it was not close to much and on a cold day was not all that great. The pub served as the base for myself and friends for gathering and enjoying a pint or two. Food was EXCELLENT.

Who knew a one-night getaway could be so perfect? Guest Services Manager Calvin apparently had that in mind the moment we checked in. Calvin quickly recognized the special nature of our visit and gave us his personal attention, making us feel like honored guests. His service made a great first impression that was followed throughout our stay by other staff, hotel accommodations and relaxing hotel policies. We made the right choice in selecting the Westin Boston Waterfront!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Weisse This hotel has great people and excellent customer service
I was staying at the hotel for a seminar at the convention center so I pretty much stayed in my room at night. The room was not very clean and the water pressure was non existent. I paid about $15 a night extra for Internet service and the service froze every 10 minutes. There was no water or snacks in the room at all and the room service menu was minimal. There was one Starbucks in the lobby and it had a line out the door every morning.
On the positive side, the concierge and the front end staff were polite and friendly and went out of their way to help.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nicky40 Great hotel, great location!
We loved our stay here. Very friendly and professional staff, comfy beds, clean room, nice restaurants and a convenient location next to the subway silver line, waterfront restaurants and walkway. Starbucks on site, which pleased my companion immensely! I guess the only downside was the pool..the kids were disappointed with small pool and we wish it had been built with more view and natural light around it...It would have been great if there was a rooftop bar/pool/restaurant as well. But overall, we loved the place, will come back and highly recommend it!

We enjoyed our stay at this Westin property. The attendants outside were quite entertaining with the kids as we came and went. The staff inside was polite and helpful - a special thank you to Matthew T at the front desk going out of his way for Cape Cod info. Food & drinks on the property were excellent. Rooms were very comfortable and well maintained. Visit the front desk in person for the best assistance. Be prepared to walk when you want to go outside the hotel - other restaurants & services take at least 15 minutes. Overall it was a great experience.

I am a frequent guest of the Westin Waterfront. The Staff, even though this Westin sees a lot of Convention Groups, always remembers me when I check in and notes my preferences for a room. The rooms are always very clean and comfortable, with some great views of Boston and the waterfront. Very little noise when your in the room and you can sleep well. The fitness center, which went through some upgrades, is very good and never crowded.
This is a well Managed hotel.
There is only one draw back, the hotel does contract two of their bars out to outside firms and these firms do not have the best service/staff. Noted this to the MGMT that they need to bring in better firms to take over these bars/pubs.
I Highly recommend this hotel and MGMT.

Checking in on the 13th was great. Request for a power cord extension for my CPAP machine was quick. Check in on the 21st and subsequent request for power cord extension was not followed up on and no extension cord was made available. I do carry a power strip and was able to find an electrical outlet close enough to enable me to use my CPAP. In the bathroom under the counter top around the sink there looked like mould growing, also between the tiles in the shower.
Sharon at the Concierge was a great help in getting us tours and great eating places.

I have stayed at the Westin on several occasions before, and am always happy with my overall experience. This time; however, I was a bit disappointed. I checked into my first room and it appeared as if housekeeping had not come to this room yet. The beds weren't made, towels and sheets were on the floor, etc... I called the front desk and requested a room change. They were extremely accommodating and brought me to another room. This second room was no different because housekeeping had not come to this room either. I called the front desk again and asked to get moved. I asked to speak with a manager, and they sent Alex up to escort us to a clean room. Alex was extremely helpful as he apologized for the inconvenience and took care of us. I told him that I completely understand miscommunications sometimes happen, which was the case in this scenario. I appreciated his help in taking control of the situation and making sure we were escorted to a clean room. As expected, the final room was very nice, and I ended up having a wonderful time despite the mishap with the dirty rooms at the start. I was a bit disappointed because I didn't expect that to happen; however, this mishap will not hinder my willingness to stay at the Westin in the future. The way the staff handled this situation proved why they are known for superior customer service. They rescued my experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mark34 Modern well-appointed hotel in Boston
The Westin Boston Waterfront is a modern, well-appointed hotel connected to the convention center by a sky bridge. The City Bar's great atmosphere makes it the place to meet for drinks after a long day. Another choice is the Birch Bar in the lobby. Keeps you in the middle of all the action in the hotel. Work out each day in a state-of-the-art fitness center before starting your busy day.

Rated 4 out of 5 by travelbugs Not on the waterfront
this is a typical good standard Sheraton but we were misled by the name into thinking it was in the Waterfront area. However it is in south Boston Seaport area and not even on the waterfront there. As such it is a stiff 20 minute walk to Boston Common to start all the historic walking trails and we did not find small local places for breakfast which we prefer to hotel buffets. There are a few good restaurants within a 5 to 10 minute walk in the area. Good value but at the expense of location. We had no recognition of our SPG membership.

Upgraded to a suite upon check-in -- 1606/1607 -- always a nice start. Check-in was otherwise fast and efficient. Room key encoder was inoperative, but a staff member took me up to and let me into my room immediately. Typically comfortable Westin bed and fixtures. Breakfast in Sauciety was quick, easy, and good. Having a full Starbucks in the lobby is a definite bonus. Workout Gym is decently equipped and a pleasant facility. Staff was efficient throughout my stay, particularly at the front doors in terms of flagging cabs and town cars.

Rated 3 out of 5 by CS1722 Some great qualities but some features were lacking.
Room was clean, food and drinks were good if a bit overpriced and Matt at the front desk was awesome and very helpful. I was disappointed because the only free WiFi was in the lobby. I was unable to access the internet during my conference hours or in my room without having to pay a additional fee. I felt this was an unnecessary expense since we were already charged for the room. When we were leaving on Sunday, we were lined up to wait for a cab to the airport. The hotel doormen tried to put us into a SUV where the driver tried to charge us $20 each for a 3 mile trip to the airport. It only cost me $17 to get to the hotel from the airport and that included a $7.50 one way toll. It felt like the doormen were trying to assist somebody to overcharge us. Because I was aware of the usual fee, we declined the overpriced SUV and waited for a cab. I did write to the hotel to inform them of this issue, however nobody wrote back. It is mostly because of this reason that I cannot recommend this hotel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Missy101 This hotel is very accommodating
I arrived at 10:00 am, and was very pleased that a room was available and I was checked in immediately. On the day of my departure, the hotel also gave me a late checkout time of 1:00 pm., which allowed me to attend the final session of my conference that morning and return to my room to 'freshen up' before I left. I was also very pleased with the large, standing magnifying mirror and the lighting in the bathroom. For once, I didn't have to struggle putting my makeup on ...

Nice hotel with a very courteous and helpful staff.
Room service was highly disappointing, apart from being the standard hotel extremely over-priced meal, for being such a "good hotel", the ketchup had HFS (high fructose corn syrup)! The worst kind of cutting corners in terms of quality as my family and I eat almost only organic. The restaurants on-site were not much better.
Outside of room service and on-site dining, the hotel and staff are pleasant and the property is centrally located. It's just best to eat elsewhere.
