The staff was very accommodating to their guests during Hurricane Sandy. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

I stayed at this hotel for business. I called in June and booked the room through my employer. I was told that I would need to change rooms for the last night of my stay because they didn't have a two bed room for that night. I said that would be finer and gave them my employers credit card. I arrived to find out I was only booked the Sunday and not Monday as was discussed. The checkin agent was very condescending and rude he didn't try to help me just told me if I couldn't produce written proof of my reservation thru Monday it wasn't his problem. He told me he didn't have a room for Sunday but I could check back each day and see if any came open. He didn't even look in the computer to check. He waited on others while I was trying to find my confirmation and kept saying " how perfect it was that their arrangements were". We finally got checked in and I called Starwood spoke to a lovely lady who booked me a room in the same hotel not ten minutes after I was just told there weren't any. When I questioned her she didn't know what to say. The room was lacking the exhaust fan didn't work the fridge didn't work and the cups weren't refilled. The door squeaked loudly . Room was dirty. The lobby and bar is cold and uninviting. Not an interesting hotel like you would expect from a Westin.

Passing through town, was able to host a lot of old friends at the Irish bar in the hotel, easy parking for visitors.

The rooms are clean and nice. Restaurant is nice. Can be preferred for business stays. Half an hour walk to downtown.
