Rated 4 out of 5 by Return Visit Every time I stay at this hotel the cleanliness of the shower is a problem. I believe that housekeeping needs improved oversight. Additionally, I was on the AAA Bed and Breakfast Plan - but found out that you can only order the same menu item every day to get the included breakfast. If you order anything other than the "American Breakfast", you only get a $5.00 credit. When I questioned the charge for ordering an omelet, (the same price as the American Breakfast) I was informed that it was because their food service is planned in advance. This is unacceptable and actually rather idiotic to expect people to eat the same thing every morning. I do want to say that the dinner menu is much improved over previous visits. Thank you, Chef! Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Experience This was our second stay at hotel. Overall great experience. Nice hotel and perfect location. Pool was warm and two jacuzzi's were nice and hot. Valet guys/bellman outside were top notch. As a Platinum member I was quite disappointed when I was told the new policy is to charge for upgrade to 1-BR suite. Reasoning they provided is they are an all-suite hotel. A little tacky. Platinum is Platinum. I didn't take that option but did request the larger of their standard suites which they accommodated. Also didn't like the swich to the earlier happy hour at 2-5. Service at restaurant varied. At times servers were quite slow, others were on the ball. We'll be back. November 27, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by SURPRISINGLY DISAPPOINTED WE VISITED FOR 4 NITES OPENING WEEK AT MAMMOTH MOUNTAIN. THE PILOT LIGHT IN THE FIRE PLACE WAS NOT LIT, THERE WAS NO TV STATION GUIDE, THE BATHROOM PLUG WAS STUCK, THE TELEPHONES WORKED INTERMITTENTLY AND THE FRONT DESK COULD NOT CORRECTLY COUNT CHANGE. Rated 5 out of 5 by Enjoyed our stay Stayed here in May and looked forward to returning in the fall. Excellent location, great staff, dogs are welcome. Very comfortable room. As a status SPG member, they even gave us the same room for our second stay. Only downside was no breakfast buffet. They had one in May, and even though it was a bit disorganized, we still enjoyed it. Upon our return, the buffet was not available. Will definitely look forward to returning. November 14, 2012

Cammon is a great owner relations person - very accomodating. Justin is also great, very friendly but professional . He has a great staff, Carol and Weston - great teamwork. October 25, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Location A great location and beautiful hotel with underground parking that has spaces big enough to accommodate cars and trucks without banging doors. The rooms are very nice and quiet. Everyone was very friendly and professional and treated us including our dog like we owned the place. It is so great to find a great property that will allow pets A wonder stay and we certainly will be back. October 19, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by A great hotel in the mountains! This is a very impressive hotel! The staff is professional, kind and welcoming. I had a slow draining sink in my bathroom and mentioned it to the cleaning lady as I was walking out for lunch. She reported it immediately and someone was there to resolve it within minutes! The atmosphere is perfect for a weekend getaway or even longer! October 17, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by 5 Star Hotel with a 5 Star View What an amazing hotel! First the snow covered mountains take your breath away and then when you reach the Hotel you are equally impressed. First Class service from the Valet and Doorman and then to the Front Desk. Theresa was waiting for me and welcomed me by name and acknowledged my Gold status. The free cocktail in Whitebark was a nice touch - and the White Chocolate Martini was perfect. I was upgraded to a suite with a kitchenette, fireplace, and a view that framed the mountains perfectly. If you are in the Mammoth area - the Westin Monache is a must! October 17, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice place for a fall getaway This was a very nice facility for our fall trip. The beds were really comfortable and the staff was very pleasant. The Lodge-Net app was great. We would return and would hope that the room was cleaned better the next time. The coffee was not restocked for the second day, and we actually found a condom wrapper (not ours) under the bed - or it might have been in-between the mattress and box springs. October 14, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic, wish would have stayed longer Beautiful, comfortable, and warm. This hotel exceeded my expectations. We only stayed one night, but was fantastic. Great location, spacious clean rooms. The hotel is beautiful as well and provides the best location in Mammoth Lakes. The parking was comfortable and accesible. The $25 resort fee includes WiFi and Parking which was veru useful. Highly recommended!!! October 2, 2012

The kitchen area featured a microwave, refridge, and what I'd need to put together a bite to eat. Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Stay with Great Service We made reservations through the main reservation line and were a little disappointed when we called back to confirm them that they had not been put through at the special rate quoted. We were able to get into a different room at a much higher cost, but it was a suite with a separate bedroom and a couch pull out and we shared with a couple that came with us. In the end it was cheaper than us each paying for our own room. Upon arrival at the hotel the staff was very friendly. The room came with two complimentary breakfasts. Since there were four of us, and due to the inconvenience of our original room reservations not being reserved, we requested two additional complimentary breakfasts. Although the manager seemed a little unwilling to simply grant our request, she eventually came through with the food vouchers and had them delivered to our room. It was much appreciated. The following day after checking out and just leaving the hotel, I had a deblitating vertigo attack. We immediately returned to the hotel. The staff was excellent. They reopened our old room and a different manager was ready with a wheelchair if needed. He helped me to the room and made sure I was situated in the bed before leaving. He also said not to worry about checking out and to stay as long as I needed. The rest of my party continued on to their destination, and returned in the afternoon around 3:00 at which time the vertigo had somewhat subsided and I was able to get into the car for the drive home. I would highly recommend the hotel to visitors. It is clean, in an excellent location, and the staff was very friendly. I was a little disappointed that the breakvast voucher only allowed one specific breakfast off the menu. It would have been much better if one could pick any meal, or if there was a breakfast buffet. Rated 5 out of 5 by We enjoy staying at this hotel, we keep coming back to it! We've stayed at the hotel at least on three vacations and it keeps delivering on all points. The hotel is pet-friendly and yet, it remains clean, well-maintained, and smells fresh throughout. Kudos to all the friendly and helpful staff - from Reservations to Front Office to House Keeping! Our room was extremely comfortable: King bed, kitchenette, and a very cool window seat/daybed that made for a fantastic relaxing/reading spot. Fluffy, white robes were provided. The hotel was pet-friendly and there were plenty of areas to walk the dog. The pool and spa area was beautiful. September 10, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Be aware, this hotel is slipping We were disappointed. 45 minute check in. Room ready at 3pm. After waiting to get a room with view of pool and Mammoth Mtn, which took 45 minutes on computer, we were given Room 209. Carpet in that hallway was filthy. Too many doggy guests. Went back to change room, another 20 minutes to do that. Hallway by room 435 -- nasty carpet stains. Fit and finish of hotel has really gone downhill since we started visiting. September 6, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Hotel in a Great Location Stayed at this hotel over the labor day weekend. Overall the facilities are fantastic...Great location within Mammoth Lakes..liked that I could walk out my door over to the village for entertainment and restaurants. Couple of nits...One, bar service poolside was inconsistent. One night they had bar service there...the next night there wasn't any...kind of bummed as it was nice after a day of hiking to come relax by the pool and have a cocktail. the other is that the room service menu was very lite...not a lot of offerings. Since there is a kitchenette in the room I can see why this may be the case but I would like to see more choices available there. Other then that...fantastic place, great experience. Rated 3 out of 5 by Bad beds First there was blood stains on one of the small pillows, and the rest of the pillows had a bad odor. When I called down about this they only replaced the big pillows, not the one with blood. Also the mattress had a big dip in it so I could not sleep next to my girlfriend as I would roll to the edge. We moved to the other room and the comforter there had a blood stain on it. Also the sheets had been starched so much the were hard September 6, 2012
