We had expected from the reviews that the rooms might be a little outdated... and they could indeed use a renovation. Also, there was no refrigerator, even though we had a suite. We had never experienced THAT before. Those two things being said, our stay was made completely wonderful by a lovely, professional and friendly staff, a spacious room with the best beds and bedding, and a great shower and bath. One outstanding staff member was Maggie, in the restaurant. We started each day with Maggie... she made breakfast our favorite meal of the day! She suggested activities and sites
for us, gave us directions, and took a genuine interest the next morning in how we enjoyed the previous day! The food is excellent, and we were served like royalty! Management of this hotel should be very proud of their entire staff. We stayed for 5 days and hated to leave!

Thank you Westin for making our stay a really good one from the moment we drove up to valet parking until we left. Everybody made us fell welcome and were attentive to all our needs and requests. The room was clean and comfortable and the food delicious and well cooked. We were made to feel welcome at all contact points. My wife and I stayed for 4 nights for both business and pleasure and loved every minute of it. The hotel is close to downtown and other attractions are within easy walking distance. We will be coming back to Memphis and will stay here again without hesitation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GuitarRUSH Fantastic stay! Great staff and features
This is our second time staying at the Westin Beale Street and it blew away our expectations!
Big thanks to the check-in staff and the valet staff. Exceptional service, great attitudes (service with a smile), and wonderful amenities. The location can't be beat either, as we were down for Elvis week and the Orpheum theater is right around the corner, as well as many well known Beale St. establishments.
The neatest feature is the Gibson guitars that you can check out and bring back to the room and play. These aren't cheap models either, but very nice $3000+ models. So cool!
Starbucks is located just on the outside, which was very convenient in the mornings.
We will be back! Thank you!

This hotel has great staff. The men at the concierge were very guest oriented, helpful and polite. As were the staff at the lobby desk.
The location is perfect for a Beale St experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TravelingMan WOW, No question where I'll stay next time I stay downtown Memphis...
Finally used points and Suite Night Awards for personal travel, so glad I did it here. Stayed one night in the hotel and used the upgrade to one the largest corner rooms I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. Not sure of the square footage, but it was substantial. Exceptionally well appointed, enjoyed drinks at the bar that night and a wonderful breakfast the next morning. The proximity to Beale Street is tough to beat let alone the FedEx Forum I could see right outside the window. Great staff as well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by KMBRE Miserable terrible stay
I was treated verry rudely at this hotel. I complained about a disk served with room service. It was salmon, which I HATE, and never order. I ordered the same dish the night before and it was great. But when it got there, my lobster roll was awfu, it was made with salmon NOTTTT lobster. AWFUL. The chef called me a liar and even came to my room, but would not taste it. You could clearly see it was salmon pink with salmon texture, NOT lobster. She was very rude. The meal was also to come with grilled asparagus. It came with some weird zucchini and peppers (little tiny red peppers size of about quarter size cherry tomato. My steak was very dry overlooked and inedible. I asked that they just take the meal back and bring me only the lobster roll. Just the fact that the chef, foreign lady refused to believe me, when I already had dish twice and loved it. And, that I am a connesour of lobster and most fish but hate salmon I would KNOW. MY husband is a chef I know the difference.
2. Then I watched two movies, one was the miracle movie about girl with some disease, but she falls down a hollow tree and is cured. Second one was about sequel to the divergent movie. I DID NOT watach a third. I tried to order one, but it asked for code and then it I turned off tv. Then restarted over to watch the two movies i did watch. Again the girl at desk would not remove the fee. It is NOT about the money; it is about the service and lack thereof. I am a SSVO, and gold SPG member for 15 years and I cannot believe the rudeness on these employees.
3. I requested a cab the day and n ight and even morning of when I needed it. I was assured it would be there at 9:15 am due to a court appearance.
4. I never got the green points added to account. (500 each night X 3 nights). Again front desk did not give them. Argued.

We were in Memphis for the AmeriVespa motor scooter rally. I must say that our stay at the Westin was extraordinary. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was remarkable. Thank you very much for making my stay, and that of my friends, exceptionally nice.
