Rated 5 out of 5 by a cool respite for summer The hotel was great--the staff were very polite and responsive. The food was terrific!! I loved their breakfast smoothie and ordered a double both mornings we were there! we had our car with us and the valet service had our car around front by the time we went downstairs. July 22, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Hotel & Staff!!! Booked this room as a last minute quick get away for my family! We were treated wonderfully from the moment we pulled up. The front desk staff was very quick, extremely friendly and efficient. My family and I enjoyed the pool. The bathroom shower was awesome!!! We look forward to visiting this hotel for quick local getaways! July 15, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Needs Improvement I am typically a fan of Westin hotels and I am not sure what was going on with this location. Not sure if the management changed but it was very disjointed. We arrived very late as we came from West Coast. The staff at checkin was unfriendly. We were looking for food and they directed us to order from Dominos. We then found in room dining late night. $24 for a small piece of rubber chicken. It was barely edible. Terrible actually. Was supposed to be curry edmame. There were three edmame total on the plate and no sauce just rubberized chicken. For that price unacceptable. Others in our party were misdirected and also treated with the same poor customer service. Those at the front desk just didn't seem to know what was going on. Very strange for a Westin. The beds of course we wonderful but we had to change rooms because they didn't give us what was the original reservation request which was inconvenient. I think they need to work out some kinks. Rated 3 out of 5 by barely average small pool, hot tub that was not hot, valet parking at $26 a night was the only option. no free internet where I am sure there are many business travelers like myself who would like it.... all in hotel promotions designed to get you to spend more at the hotel such as free desert if you buy a dinner and 5 dollars of food if you don't ask to clean your room. had to request a new remote since mine was not working.... Rated 1 out of 5 by Nice place great location TERRIBLE SERVICE No vending machines in the hotel (walk two blocks to 7-11 at 11:30pm for something cold to drink, or order room service). Not enough towels (you get two). Ask for more and you get the towels but you also DON'T get your coffee bar restocked, your bath mat reserviced(don't know how they cleaned the bathroom floor) or the ice bucket and water reserviced. Ask the front desk if they can help and the bath mat or ice and water are still not reserviced and the coffee bar supplies just thrown in a bag on the dresser. But they "are so sorry and will take care of it." July 2, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by Improvement needed for this hotel Check in was a disaster. The valet was totally unprepared for all the arriving guests for a wedding and there was no other choice for parking except valet parking. We waited in line for almost 30 minutes. Check in went smoothly, except we were not offered our welcome bag for being part of the wedding group. I had to go back downstairs to pick it up. The accommodations were nice. The safe in our room did not work. We called the front desk who told us that someone would be up in 10 minutes. It took almost 1 hours and he did not fix the problem. The clock radio in our room was broken. My daughters room had soiled pillows. They didn't notice until late at night when they went to go to sleep and housekeeping took 45 minutes to bring them fresh pillows. July 1, 2013

The hotel, the room and surrounding area was just as it was in online photos and descriptions. I would definitely stay here again, or at any another location in the future. June 25, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by So so bland I entered to check in before a meeting. The front desk person was friendly, but never asked about room preferences. My online profile (no connecting doors) clearly was not checked. There was no upgrade that I could see to "best available". The room was small and had a connecting door. In the bar in the lobby, which closed early, they even felt it necessary to shut off the overtime period of the NHL Finals game without even saying anything to remaining patrons (before 11 pm). Rated 2 out of 5 by Nickel and dimed This hotel just nickels and dimes you... it's 2013 and internet is not included in the cost of your room. There were also two options for internet... $10 for slow annoying internet and an extra $5 for regular internet. Also when I arrived I asked the valet if there was public parking so that I wouldn't have to pay $26 per night for parking and he said no. The next day I found a public parking garage down the street. I'm not a fan of companies that lie to their customers. $3.50 for ATM, $4.00 for water, $15 for internet, $26 for parking, $72 for breakfast for 3... for a hotel that is "just okay" I would expect not to be nickel and dimed. On top of that your treadmills only offered 3-6 tv channels. Seriously, if you want to be a fancy hotel, put on the big boy pants and act like one! June 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent except for the Hallways This Westin is excellent in all respects except for the Hallways. The carpets are badly worn and stained. Used room service trays stay in the hall for a long time and housekeeping carts and repair carts are left with no one using them. This isn't up to the standards of the rest of the hotel. Rated 2 out of 5 by Alexandria Two nights in this hotel and both nights we were confronted with noise and others on the same floor who had little or no consideration for others until 3AM both nights we were there. Additional charges for internet are just unacceptable when paying for a nice room at a recognized hotel like Westin. Sorry, I was not pleased and would not recommend it to others. June 17, 2013

Most everything about this hotel was wonderful with one very large exception; my room although spacious and comfortable was disappointingly very dirty. Upon entering everything looked great and the beds were nicely made but, when I walked further in it was quite obvious the carpet had not been vacuumed, then I noticed a coat hanger had been left on the floor, I found a half empty soda bottle under the bed, and dried food on the glass table! I was very surprised and of course I questioned if the bed sheets had been changed or just re-made. I called room service and they came right away but obviously did not clean the bathroom floor as later that evening I discovered small amounts of yellow in front of the toilet...very upsetting indeed. I'm sure that this is not the norm for Westin but I felt quite uncomfortable in my room after that. More than likely this was an unfortunate oversight which is why I did not make a huge fuss bit I was extremely surprised. I would also like to pay credit where it is due and mention the front desk staff. They were wonderful, polished, professional and friendly. The rest of the hotel as well as facilities were fine. We were looking for the restaurant and an attendant at the gym took the time to personally show us where it was. The room was nice and clean. The food at the function we attended was great!!!! Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice hotel. But don't expect any food late night Hotel was typical Westin. Everything was pretty nice about it. The thing that upset me the most was after a 5 hour flight from the West coast, getting to the hotel at 1am, I was in search of food and was told NOTHING is available. No late night room service, no nearby food spots open. Not even a salad. In my room I looked in the book and noticed is said "Late Night Dining Menu 11pm - 6am" and had a list of things available (typical in hotels). Called the front desk and they said No we don't have late night dining. Second thing, my reservation was for two nights. I checked in and confirmed two nights. But the hotel staff took the liberty to check me out prematurely after 1 night just b/c housekeeping didn't see my bags in the room. What difference does that make. I reserved 2 nights and confirmed 2 nights. Why are you checking me out early on your own accord. Third thing - front desk did not even greet me as Platinum, ask me what I would like for amenity, or offer or search for upgrades. June 7, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Expected More from a Westin I was quite excited to stay at a Westin and enjoy the Heavenly Bed. However , upon check-in with my colleague, I already noticed staffing issues at the front counter. I checked in before her and was told there were no rooms available. Then she checked in and was given a room right away. I was quite upset by this turn of events as we had reserved the exact same type of room. When I did finally get a room, there was no bar soap provided. I waited until the room was cleaned again the next day but when I rerurned to the room, there was still no soap, and I also had been left only one towel, and my coffee and water had not been replenished. I called the front desk and they promised a full cleaning, but when I returned to the room again, the only change made was one extra towel. I had to call a third time to get the situation rectified. Then, my room wasn't even cleaned at all the next day. I was not impressed at all by this Westin. I did not feel that my contact with the front desk was appropriately handled. Management never contacted me to offer any apologies for the housekeeping issues with my room. I expected more from a Westin and will not recommend anyone to stay here in the future. June 7, 2013

Location, not so great as you have to walk or take a cab to restaurants and shopping. I would still stay there as the product and services were excellent. June 6, 2013

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dirty and worn, dismissive staff From the frayed towels to the dirty and noisy room this place should be skipped. Imagine if I had not stayed in an "executive Suite". The staff is totally clueless in the service industry. Late check out? NO Nearby restaurant? Here is a list! Directions to Elizabeth St? I don't know. May 27, 2013
