Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for Business Travel Exellent hotel for business travel. Easy to get to from airport taking the train exiting on Nicollet. I arrived later in the evening had a great check in experience and had a wonderful meal in the restaurant. Great stay all around. Thank you! July 29, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love the Westin 3 things - Refrigerator did not work, Middle shower head did not work and the coffee/coffee filters are to big for the coffee maker. When the water drains into the basket it has no where to sit because the filter is taking up all the space. With this said the coffee leaks out of the basket and onto the desk or dresser. I did let the desk clerk know, except about the coffee maker, when we checked out. We stayed in room 833. July 25, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by unpleasantly surprised Having had prior solid experiences at the MPLS Westin, I was surprised on my recent visit. checked innto my room to find the room right next door undergoing renovations( 8pm at night ) inc. wallpapering which was loud and annoying. Additionally, alarm clock was not working due to outlet not working and wall light also not working. Staff was accommodating, but this experience was not what I expected July 25, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Did not meet Westin Standards The visit started with an hour and half drive around a .5 mile radius because a) the directions on the website put you on the wrong side of the hotel for valet and b) there was a parade that nobody bothered to inform us of. In fact, when I called the hotel, they were not even aware of it even though traffic was HORRIBLE and streets around the hotel were blocked off. Then, our check-in person offered to comp us a glass of wine - we let him know we were just going to dinner instead (it was 8:30 pm by that time) and so he said he'd put some breakfast vouchers under our door. Great - but we never got the vouchers. Room: refrigerator not operational, no sheers on the windows - just the blackout curtain so no sunlight for us the next morning as there is an office building that looks right into our windows!. The safe did not work, there was no toiletries kit in the bathroom (with q-tips and shower caps) and despite booking a room for two - only one robe. The lobby is pretty and the hotel is in a central downtown location, but they need to put more attention into the details that cause one to stay at the Westin as opposed to other hotels. Rated 4 out of 5 by Overnight business stay Checked in later in the evening. Front desk was welcoming and professional. Decided to stay in for a meal at the bar. The bartender was slow to recognize me as he appeared to be completing his bar prep work. Ordered a NY Strip medium rare and came more medium. Flavor overall was not bad. Disappointing to get some slow service late in the evening and notice the bar had a foul oder. After a long flight in I really didn't have the energy to address it with the staff. Did notice similar lack of promptness to recognize other customers arriving at the bar. Besides that, it is a nice hotel and well up kept. I would recommend eating elsewhere. July 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding Experience My wife and I stayed at the Mpls Westin Hotel. It was our Anniversary getaway. We were met by the GM and Restaurant Manager Neil. They made it clear they wanted our stay to be memorable. All staff was attentive and professional. The place was unbelievably clean and upscale. A 10 for sure. July 22, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by This hotel is a miss Plumbing issue: 1st morning had only hot and hotter water from both shower and sink faucets. Called in, and was fixed for second morning shower. Room was not thoroughly cleaned the first day: sitting room not touched: coffee machine pod removed, but trash not cleared out! A ridiculous miss, and evident of seeing but not doing. Morning food service slow and food mediocre. The hotel is beautiful. The bar service was pleasant and effective. Simply a very mixed experience. July 19, 2014
