Rated 5 out of 5 great comfort, location, easy access from train Stayed here one night for business. Easy access from airport using LRT blue line. Front desk staff were great gave plenty of suggestions for food. Room was clean and comfortable. Would like to get back for vacation. July 26, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Overnight business stay Checked in later in the evening. Front desk was welcoming and professional. Decided to stay in for a meal at the bar. The bartender was slow to recognize me as he appeared to be completing his bar prep work. Ordered a NY Strip medium rare and came more medium. Flavor overall was not bad. Disappointing to get some slow service late in the evening and notice the bar had a foul oder. After a long flight in I really didn't have the energy to address it with the staff. Did notice similar lack of promptness to recognize other customers arriving at the bar. Besides that, it is a nice hotel and well up kept. I would recommend eating elsewhere. July 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding Experience My wife and I stayed at the Mpls Westin Hotel. It was our Anniversary getaway. We were met by the GM and Restaurant Manager Neil. They made it clear they wanted our stay to be memorable. All staff was attentive and professional. The place was unbelievably clean and upscale. A 10 for sure. July 22, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by This hotel is a miss Plumbing issue: 1st morning had only hot and hotter water from both shower and sink faucets. Called in, and was fixed for second morning shower. Room was not thoroughly cleaned the first day: sitting room not touched: coffee machine pod removed, but trash not cleared out! A ridiculous miss, and evident of seeing but not doing. Morning food service slow and food mediocre. The hotel is beautiful. The bar service was pleasant and effective. Simply a very mixed experience. July 19, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not up to Westin and Starwood Standards I was part of a group of 24 professionals in Minneapolis for a Study Exchange with local Chambers and Elected Officials. When we arrived late in the afternoon, 6 of the rooms were not ready. The next day when we all returned to the hotel in the late afternoon, all of our keys had been deactivated and we needed to stand in line to get new keys. At check out, arrangements had been made for hotel staff to retrieve luggage from our rooms and store in a secure area until our buss arrived to take us to the airport. Unfortunately, not all of the bags were picked up and 3 of our group did not have their bags when we arrived at the airport. Fortunately we have a wonderful bus driver who took our leader back to the hotel to get the luggage and got her back to the airport in time to catch our flight. I also felt the rooms were not convenient to share. With 2 beds in the room, you could not open the closet door properly. Also space in the bathroom was very limited. For the last day and a half, only one elevator was operating, so wait times to go to and from rooms was excessive. I was very disappointed as this experience was not what I have come to expect from Starwood properties. This group travels once a year and is use to exceptional service and properties. Unfortunately, I doubt that they will ever stay at a Starwood property again. July 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exceeded Expectations I have to say that from confirming my suite nights upgrade in advance through to check out the Westin Minneapolis exceeded my expectations. Room was immaculate, staff knew our names and was spectacular. Restaurant brought in vegetarian options for our children and head chef checked repeatedly to make sure we were taken care of throughout our stay. I stayed 143 nights last year and can honestly say that this property should be the model of how a stay should be. Thank yoy July 18, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice Hotel, Not for Kids It was a nice hotel however the pull out sofa was broken in our room (628). It was unuseable for our children. The main pool was also extremly cold. Not a great hotel for kids. July 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Up to expected Westin expectations -- great location. Overall feel in an old bank building is really neat. Like the SPG floor and room was up to Westin high standards. Just a block from the light rail and two blocks from Target field, location could not be better. July 13, 2014
