Rated 3 out of 5 by Disappointed First, I presented at the check-in desk to find out that since I had a Debit Card, the hotel would have to charge an initial $100 that would be refunded in approximately 7 days. So I paid the rate plus $100. This has never happened where I've stayed previously. Dinner was delicious and the service excellent. Returning to my room, I went to shower, however I was unable to shower due to a mechanical defect. I think i'll pass on Westin in the future. June 30, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Where the 22mio have been spent ? Reading the description I expected to have a classical Westin hotel with not only a nice reception but also renovated rooms. Unfortunately all started when I took the elevator, just old, then the room has been oddly and partially refreshed. In general the rooms look old and used. Additionally as a platinum guest I didn't felt welcome. The staff try to be friendly and do what's possible but the results are not satisfactory. Will never come again. October 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by We had a wonderful experience!! Our stay at The Westin was very nice! The staff are wonderful! We had a bit of an issue with the hot water, the front desk staff offered to change our room and sent us a complimentary bottle of wine with dessert to our room!! Our reservations included the free breakfast buffet, this was very good, lots of choices! The Westin even accommodated our dog with a plush doggy bed! We are already talking about going back there for our next trip to DC!! April 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sushi and Starbucks Stayed here because it is very close to premier shopping, entertainment and the interstate. Was absolutely impressed with the level of service received from Ifra at the front desk and Alycia (highly recommended the sushi and she was absolutely right)! I wish all Westin's had a Sushi bar in the lobby like this one! Very fresh, delicious, and well presented platter at a reasonable price! Rooms are comfortable, clean and filled with fresh air! Rated 4 out of 5 by Three times the charm... My experience with the Westin for this particular trip was a bit mixed. The first TWO rooms I checked into were not cleaned - the first the bed had not been made, there were towels all over the floor, and there was leftover food on a roomservice tray; the second room had a dirty, hair filled tub. YUCK! The THIRD room was just right. The next day I received a lovely handwritten thank-you note, thanking me for my patience. :) September 10, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by LIKE COMING HOME Once again, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, from the cheerful greeting on arrival to the sincere "come visit us again" as we left. The staff is professional and friendly, the accommodations impeccable and the morning buffet far better than we would ever bother to make at home ! Thank you for another pleasant visit... next time, could you fix the weather for us also?...maybe a little warmer? December 11, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Remodel not quite there Overall our stay was great. The Staff was friendly and attentive especially the staff working in the restaurant in the morning. The bad they are doing a renovation and it could be better. A pet peeve of mine is remodels where nothing is done with the room doors...they were old and beat up on the floor I was on and the elevators are not renovated yet and badly need it. Rated 5 out of 5 by Enjoyed Our Stay! This hotel was one of the best my husband and I have stayed in! The staff was very nice and met all our needs. The room and building were very clean. The area is also a pleasant place to stay. Even though the malls and eating places are in driving distance, a little to far for walking distance, but that wasn't a problem because the hotel took us (and picked us up), wherever we needed to go. Rated 3 out of 5 by Disappointed This was the second time I stayed here since it was newly renovated 2 years ago. My first visit experience was that of an immaculate, fresh new hotel. I was surprised this time because the hotel looked weathered. The carpet in my room had runs in it. The bathroom faucet kept dripping. The hallway walls looked smudged and dirty. I was shocked. I also heard the traffic in the early morning hours from the 495 Beltway. September 20, 2012

However, walls were really thin - I heard the alarm next door at 5:50 am and then again later because I guess they didn't get up when it first went off. Also, when bell boy was getting luggage across the hall, could hear him loudly stacking luggage on cart. Could also hear a bus and a group of kids outside before we were ready to get up. Rated 5 out of 5 by Incredible value! This was my second stay there in six months. I love the Heavenly Bed and Shower. The staff and service in their bar/lounge was wonderful; very friendly. The staff and service in their restaurant was good, though the staff are more concerned with keeping things clean and orderly than checking in with dining patrons (could use some more water here.) All in all, I'd come back in a flash. November 12, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good service The staffs at the front desk, restaurant, lounge, conceirge are all friendly and helpful. There was a minor problem during our stay, but the staffs were all doing their best to resolve it, so I did not feel bad at all. The hotel has shuttle service to the DC metro station, and I did not have to wait long. Even if the hotel is not close to the tourist area, the hotel makes it convenient for tourists. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Friendly Service! How refreshing to arrive at the Westin Tysons Corner after a long day of driving in the rain to be greated by friendly and helpful staff members. Everyone was great - from unloading the car to checking in to having dinner. We couldn't have asked for better service. I wished I would have had my rewards cards with me as I would have given them to all three of the people that assisted us. Thank you! April 26, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic Experience! Wow, just wow. Not only is this place a very pleasant Westin property, it also delivers above and beyond on service. I was celebrating my GF's birthday, and they really pulled out the stops and made it a memorable experience. The shuttle service was also extremely convenient. Thanks a ton for a fantastic stay. Rated 2 out of 5 by This hotel needs a massive makeover! I stayed at the hotel for 6 nights. I am a preferred guest and I have stayed at Starwood hotels all over the world. This is the first hotel I would not recommend. In our first room I found dead roaches under the end table. There was also mold in the shower. The carpet was terrible and it was clear that the cleaning staff did not actually CLEAN! We moved to another room and while there were no bugs, the carpet was worn and old and clearly had seen better days. In a separate matter the pool hours are ridiculous. They are open from 6-10 am and 5-9pm? Apparently the state requires a lifeguard on duty at all times, but I'm not sure why the hotel doesn't have someone on duty all day during the summer months. The hours made it near impossible to use the facility. The staff did attempt to appease us with free breakfast, but the fact remains that the hotel needs renovation and better cleaning guidelines. Rated 5 out of 5 by The Staff is great! The staff at this location is wonderful, I am staying there often for work but not every week. (one or two times/month). The staff recognizes me and greets me by name when I check in, the morning breakfast crew remembers I am a tea drinker, not coffee. It is such an unexpected gesture that makes me smile eveytime. The team makes travel away from home pleasant and I wanted to say thank you March 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic hotel, fantastic price, no joke As someone who travels moderately, I've never had a better deal at a better price. The service, the features, the cleanliness and convenience were second to none I've experienced in more than 30 years of travel. I've never slept in a more comfortable bed, nor have I seen better facilities available. Everything was new, clean, and perfectly functional. No one does it better than you guys! August 22, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Disappointed with the preferred member floor I've been to this hotel many times and generally have been happy with my rooms and experiences until this one. While I was glad the staff was able to move me to a higher floor I was very disappointed in my room. I don't know the last time I was in a hotel where there were no outlets in the bathroom or at the desk. I think I found one wall outlet in the whole room, not very friendly for people trying to get ready in the morning. The overall feel of the room just was not what I have experienced at other Westin's or rooms in this hotel. I have had similar experiences on the preferred guest floor at other Westin Hotels where it feels like more short cuts are taken on the amenities than in the rest of the hotel which is disappointing. I would think they would want to keep their loyal members the happiest. Despite my disappointment this time, I will still recommend the hotel since MOST of the time I've been happy with the rooms. We try to check in early at around 11am on Saturday and the front desk staff had a suite with a connecting room rush-ready within half hour. Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent hotel From the moment I was greeted by two friendly doormen, to the moment I left, the staff in this hotel were excellent. My 8th floor room was very clean and offered me a view of a beautiful fuschia sunset west of the city. I enjoyed the lounge and the knowledgable server. The food was good, too! The gym is great, and the pool area looked clean. It was another excellent stay! February 18, 2013

Rated 2 out of 5 by Very Dissapointed When I hear the name Westin I expect better than what I faced when I checked into this location. The room I was given was very disappointed. There was dust everywhere from the bathroom to the TV consol, a personal massager (apparently from the previous guest) behind the pillows, shower curtain rod just barely attached to the wall, and the lamp shades in poor condition. Rated 5 out of 5 by We think of it as being our home away fro home. Unbeliveable assistance. I came down early Saturday morning to get the Wall Street Journal and it was not there. I asked about it and told there was no delivery on Saturday but they would send a driver out to get one for me. I said that would be too much trouble but they insisted that it was not. Thirty minutes I had the paper delivered to my room. That/s service! January 13, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Late night - no worries I arrived just after midnight this past week, and my reservations my company placed were incorrect. I was a day early. The Westin Front Desk, confidently assured me not to worry and that everything would be taken care of. I received a great room and enjoyed my stay. The next morning, the staff was happy to see me, even though it was a day earlier than planned. May 5, 2013
