Here's a list of things that weren't quite right:
* room was not cleaned one day - yet the desk tried to tell me it was so I ended up with a mess of towels, no coffee, etc the 2nd day
* Bulbs burned out in room; clock radio not working; lampshade had huge cracks in it
* No hot water in bathroom faucet
* Check-in person had an attitude; others at front desk ended up being very helpful
* I stay at this hotel ~ 2X / month and this was the least satisfying stay yet

I spent New Year's Eve here and it was extremely nice. The room was spacious and the staff was very helpful. I love the WESTIN!! Will be back again!!!

We had a wonderful time staying at this beautifully designed hotel. The room is clean and spacious with the amazing "heavenly beds". Will definitely stay at another Westin again.

Exceptional hotel - beautiul lobby, exceptionally appointed room, customer service at its VERY best (the entire staff we encountered aimed to please and go that extra mile or two or three (!) - especially the evening front desk staff), wonderful breakfast at Vinifera. Staying on Christmas, we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves! We were truly Restin' at the Reston Westin! Thank you for your hospitality!

This hotel was a great place to stay in Reston and the best part close to my job locations. Staff provided the wrong valet ticket to my car and I feel they need to be more attentive especially since I am paying for them to park my vehicle however due to not that many customers it was easy to correct. Overall stay was good.

Mr. Sheppard and Ms. Alexis was so professional with how they help me and my wife with all questions we asked and meet all my needs. I would send all my customer to this Westin hotel because of the great service.

Hotel is located less than 5 minutes from the Reston Town Center. Dulles International Airport is approx 15 miles away and an easy drive. Only concern was that I noticed a teenager sitting at the bar on three consecutive evenings. Management requested he sit at a table on the first occasion but did not seemed concerned thereafter. VA law prohibts such.

The Weston in Reston, VA is an exceptional hotel. The room was amazing, the staff was extremely courteous, helpful and friendly and the food was amazing. The Hotel Manager worked hard to make sure we had a room that I could navigate since I am physically handicapped for now due to Achilles surgery. We would stay there again and look forward to another trip to Virginia just to stay at the hotel.

The room I was staying in was extremely dimly lit. The bulbs have been changed to CFL which is great for energy consumption but did not provide adequate light especially if you are trying to get some late night presentations done. Otherwise, room quality was above average. The real gem of this hotel is its restaurant. Skip the room service and go down and experience culinary delight - from the hummus dips and pita to the fresh entrees paired with great wine selection, absolutely superb!

I was slightly disappointed they had no club level/ lounge. The attendant stated certain floors were "SPG levels" and therefore, contained more amenities. The mini fridge, perhaps? Mistakenly, I was charged twice for the room. Other than that..... the hotel was nice!

I expected a better supply and variety of Toileteies, mouth wash, cotton swaps, I had to ask for lotion and toilet tissue. The bed was just average and the linens so so.

Between regular upgrades to a suite, great meals at the Bistro and a very helpful staff, I really enjoy staying here. Close to my office and Reston Town Center with even more restaurant and other options.

We opted for a balcony suite for a weekend getaway. It blew us away. This suite rivaled some of the nicest places that I've stayed. Even the chairs on the balcony were very comfortable. The restaurant is great, staff was great, overall comfort was amazing.

Staff was very friendly and helpful with minor billing issues encountered during my stay this past weekend. Breakfast in the restaurant was fantastic as well.
I was disappointed in the fact that I could not open the window shade that covered the entire window in my room because it was broken (top was out of the track) and that even though the website states that valet is complimentary for guests that the sign at the entrance states it's $10/day.

Was cold in room-turned heater on, stinked very bad.
Air conditioner worked at 2 temps--cold or off.
Everyone I talked to could not find the hotel entrance, including me.

I have been staying at this hotel regularly for over 2 years. The staff are always helpful and friendly. On this latest visit they made a room available really early due to my arrival from Bangkok and put me in a ( upgrade) Westin Workout room. After 18 hours on a flight it was a real treat!
When you enter the hotel it feels and smells welcoming. Everything works in the rooms and of course, it has the great Westin bed.
The hotel restaurant Vinifera, is one of my favourite hotel restaurants anywhere. Excellent menu and superb wine pairings.
I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

On my recent visit to Reston, VA for my residency at the Univ. of Phoenix all my needs were met at the Westin Reston Heights Hotel. It started with a shuttle from the airport to a shuttle to and from school. This was perfect for me because it cut down on my stress level and no worries about transportation or renting a vehicle. I would recommend it to any student attending their residency in Reston, VA. T.Williams

After a long troublesome overseas flight, the Westin Reston Heights proved to be a great place to recharge. Check-In was fast and correct, the room was in great condition, and everything needed was available immediately. Free shuttle to Town Center and Free shuttle to Dulles International. Thank you.

Overall a good stay, but the shower had mold at the bottom of the door and all along the bottom, including the tile. With that said, it kind of made me wonder about the cleanliness of the rest of the room.

My experience during this visit:
(1) Was put in a room directly opposite the elevator entrance, despite my profile which states not near the elevators.
(2) No glasses in the rooms, only plastic cups wrapped in more plastic.
(3) No amenity or shoe-cleaning kits in the rooms.
(4) Tried to order room service - there was no hard-copy menu, and Menu function on the tv remote reported it was "Unavailable" (I tried several times). Ended up not ordering anything.
(5) No breakfast buffet - you have to walk over to the Sheraton (which is very close) - and their buffet is very ordinary.
(6) Felt like a swim to cool down after an early morning run, but pool is only open late afternoon on weekdays, and all day on weekends.
(7) Parking is a bit random. Although it's free, you might need to walk a couple hundred yards if you arrive late in the day.
On the positive side:
(1) Running equipment in the gym is good - there are four or five running machines all in good working order.
(2) Shower was nice and hot.
(3) Air con doesn't blow on you while you are sleeping.

I recently stayed a few days ago in the Jr Suite room with Full Size Wet Bar and Balcony facing the Toll Road. The door to balcony was very loud so there weren't much of an insulation but the thick drapery helped a bit. I had brought wine but there was no wine opener, I then called downstairs and the front desk clerk told me to look for it, since it should be located near the ice bucket but it wasn't. I then grabbed the 2 wine glasses and both were of different size and shapes, which is not a big deal but what was a bigger deal was the residue of lipstick wax on the rim of the glasses. I couldn't wait so I washed it with the provided bar soap which helped. ;( The remote control didn't seem to work correctly. You had to aim it in a certain way towards the tv to get the channels changed so the battery was probably drained in the remote. I've stayed here many times and loved it but my last stay wasn't to my liking. I will probably stay here again but I hope that next time, it will be better.

This was the third or fourth time I have stayed at the Westin Reston Heights. Overall the level of service was top notch, just as in the past. However there were two glaring issues this visit.
1) Restaurant: The restaurant was severely understaffed the entire weekend. While the staff was pleasant the time it took to get service and food was unacceptable. This was the case Friday night as well as Sunday and Monday mornings.
2) Housekeeping: The timing seemed strange. On Sunday, it was mid-late afternoon before they came. On Monday (day of check-out) they were knocking on the door every 30 minutes starting at 8:00am.
While these may have been isolated instances, they were such that made this a less than favorable stay.
