This hotel is a disappointment.
The good things - great location, a heavenly bed that always gives a good sleep.
The not so good things:
A very small room.
I had to shave and shower with cool water, it seems there is never hot water.
The service in the bar is terrible.
The gym is nice but there are no change rooms so you have to walk through the hotel in your gym clothes.
Despite being platinum there were no upgrades.

This was our second stay here and the hotel has been renovated since we were here in 2012. Everything in the hotel is modern and clean, just the way we like it and what we expect from a Westin property.
Our stay was made extra special by the staff in the Fringe Tree bar and restaurant - Barry, Cathy and Donna. There was also another lady there that wore a suit, apologies for not remembering her name. Anyway, they treated us like dear friends and were always interested in us, what we had been doing and wanting to give us tips and recommendations. What made it even more special was that Barry and Cathy had served us in 2012 and we had fond memories of our time with them then, and this was one of the reasons we came back to this hotel. They remembered us too which is just outstanding when you think of how many people they serve. Every customer was treated impeccably and we were definitely made to feel special. We would like our gratitude to be passed on to your staff at Fringe Tree, and we can't wait to return to see them again in the future.

The Georgetown cupcakes at checkin were a lovely treat and welcome to DC. The staff had terrific attitudes and were thoughtful and preemptive in meeting requests. The rooms were a bit dated, but comfy with great blackout shades.

A great hotel located in awesome place. But assigned a room with terrible window view(another building nearby) and the facilities feels like a little bit out of date.

This was a great experience. The hotel was a typical Westin - great rooms and lounge area, and the typical Heavenly Bed and Shower. What made it an exceptional experience was the staff from the front desk to the restaurant team, they went out of their way to make this stay memorable for my family. We great;y appreciated the Platinum amenity breakfast for the family - my kids loved the buffet. The servers (Alem, Abdul and Ney) were extremely friendly and they got to know my kids' personalities in that short time. Additionally, the hotel was in a great location; walking distance to both the White House and a metro stop. I'd gladly stay here again when we come back for more sightseeing. Thank you, Westin!
