Rated 5 out of 5 by TechieTraveler Wonderful staff service and SPG gold recognition
The Georgetown cupcakes at checkin were a lovely treat and welcome to DC. The staff had terrific attitudes and were thoughtful and preemptive in meeting requests. The rooms were a bit dated, but comfy with great blackout shades.

A great hotel located in awesome place. But assigned a room with terrible window view(another building nearby) and the facilities feels like a little bit out of date.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AlicesDad Great Location for DC Sightseeing!
This was a great experience. The hotel was a typical Westin - great rooms and lounge area, and the typical Heavenly Bed and Shower. What made it an exceptional experience was the staff from the front desk to the restaurant team, they went out of their way to make this stay memorable for my family. We great;y appreciated the Platinum amenity breakfast for the family - my kids loved the buffet. The servers (Alem, Abdul and Ney) were extremely friendly and they got to know my kids' personalities in that short time. Additionally, the hotel was in a great location; walking distance to both the White House and a metro stop. I'd gladly stay here again when we come back for more sightseeing. Thank you, Westin!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bel725 Love this property!!
I had the pleasure to be a long term guest at the Westin DC City Center. The staff was amazing and gave me a home away from home. From check in, to breakfast in 1400 North which has the best buffet, to dinner in Fringetree (love the new Shrimp Thai salad), to the greetings from the valet and front desk. This is the place to stay in Washington DC.

Rated 4 out of 5 by racerm3 Westin DC City Center
Stayed on a weekly basis for 3 months at the Westin and here are my thoughts:
Good: bed, rain shower head, large LCD TV
Bad: A/C does not cool well, no ottoman, soft water pressure
Excellent buffet breakfast with all the hot items (eggs: white & regular, bacon & sausage, potatoes, french toast and pancakes, oatmeal) and all the continental items as well. Service is excellent as well with all the great wait staff (Abdul, Emebet, Ney)
Large gym with everything you need including kettle bells; cold towels; lacks foam roller
Front Desk: 5/5
Excellent service especially with night manager Faye going above and beyond in pre-checking, upgrades, vouchers.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Lynn1264 Room quality is not Westin or Starwood standard
It appears that all of the renovation money went to the hotel lobby. The room felt like I was staying at a low budget hotel! The furniture was old, the fabric on the chairs looked like carpet, only one night stand had a lamp, the grout on the floor, along the wall, in the bathroom looked disgusting, and it looked like there was masking tape holding the legs of the sink together. Corporate Starwood should make an unannounced visit to this hotel to see the quality of the rooms. Definitely not what I would expect from a Westin hotel!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by DCcationer Good staff, overpriced parking
The location is good for seeing the attractions, fair walking distance to Washington monument &a White House. Dante was very helpful at front desk, so was housekeeping very courteous , parking staff as well. Everyone says hi when you pass by.
Parking - overpriced for guests and twice as much as overnight parking found one block away. No pool.
Dining- Food portions small, limited menu selection, overpriced and not very tasty for the price. Good ambiance, very little substance.
Gym- working equipment and jogging trail outside was safe and sufficient if you want to keep fit on a long stay.
My room was clean- don't drink the $7 bottle of water in the room. There is a a 24hr CVS a block away.
