The staff appeared to be very untrained. I was checking out and Carla informed me that I had comp nights (3). I asked her multiple times about this. Upon reviewing my bill further after I left the hotel, I noticed that it did not match what I was told at the hotel. So I called back and they only ended up comp my stay for 2 of the 4 nights. When I checked in at 10 or 11am, we left our bags with the Bellman. Upon our return, our room was still not ready at 5pm. Plus they lost our bags.

Rated 4 out of 5 Rooms need work
The front desk staff and valets were amazing. The rooms had a lot to be desired. They just seemed dated. There was no where to hang towels in the bathroom. Not all of the electrical outlets worked well. The noise from the hall was very loud. All of our towels, glasses, etc weren't replaced everyday. There were holes in the curtains. The chairs in our room were stained. The common rooms of the hotel were very nice. I loved the bedding and the comfort of the bed. We ordered an extra towel and it came immediately. We loved the hotel as a whole, the room just seemed really dated.

The room was dated and while large it did not use the space well. The staff failed to clean the room one of our days and we had to call for clean towels several times. You should stay somewhere else.

This is the Hotel I choose while staying in the French Quarter. The Lobby is a nice area to have a relaxing drink and view the River. A good center location to walk around and visit what the Quarter has to offer. Rooms are very clean and have a fresh feeling. The Staff is very professional and well trained. Friendly and most helpful. The Housekeeping Staff have to be acknowledged for their excellent work and how considerate and quiet they are while in the hallways. This is a Westin Hotel that respect their guest and recognize SPG members. Just Excellent Hotel Management.

Hotel was OK.
One evening the doorman was too busy having a personal conversation with a friend who was sitting in the lobby to be bothered to acknowledge us.
Once the house keeper didn’t leave us any towels after the room was cleaned. A few days it was after 4:00pm before the room ever got cleaned.
Our key card wouldn’t work on more than one occasion the front desk said it was a maintenance issue the maintenance guy said the front desk didn’t make the keys correctly? We had to keep back and forth to the front desk to get new keys.
The bar didn’t have very good hours.
The restaurant had a great breakfast buffet, and the staff in the restaurant were very friendly.
The bed was very comfortable.
The service was not what we had expected out of the Westin.
Overall experience was not terrible- the service just could have been better.
We were there for a conference, however extended our stay before and after to experience New Orleans.

This Hotel exceeded my expectations and I will only stay at the Westin. We had a problem on our floor and they moved us and sent a nice bottle of wine to our new room. The bellman, Dillon was more than helpful with everything and a real asset to the hotel. The rooms are nice, food is good and if you go to the Green Room Bar for a light meal or drink Lindsey is wonderful. Great staff and my only complaint is that the housekeeping is not consistent (on both floors) and doesn't quite meet up to the standards of this wonderful hotel. Another added plus is the Westin is connected to the Shops on Canal street so we got some Christmas shopping in!!

I was disappointed with my most recent stay, we had to continually ask for towels (if 3 people are registered in the room there should be 3 towels...), robes etc and when we tried to order room service in the morning we given a ridiculously long wait time.

Another great stay. Room was nice and clean and had lots of relaxation. Staff was professional and meet our needs in every way. My favorite New Orleans hotel.
