The elevators required wait times in some instances exceeding 15 min. The staff was apologetic but none the less time is valuable. The outside staff was fantastic, very freindly and helpful

The bathrooms in the meeting space had knats flying around everywhere. I had to kill three before using the restroom and the tampon dispenser was never full. It was a nasty, nasty bathroom.

The common areas, and elevators were dirty stained and mens room was filthy. I brought important guests with me and had to apologise for this hotel. I feel I deserve a refund

I stayed at this hotel for a convention...and the Elevators are absolutely HORRENDOUS...everytime you go in and out or to a different floor there is an endless wait,,,very annoying hotel

The hotel looks very worn; especially in the lobby area. The furniture desperately needs an upgrade. The rooms are very dark; bland.

TV wouldn't turn. service tech came in unplugged the power.and it came on. So ever day we would the same. The ice machine didn'd work the whole week. Even after we told the operator.

Walking distance to so many places! The view of the Mississippi River out our window was wonderful! Roof-top pool was a great place to hang out and recover from meetings and Bourbon St.

I live in New Orleans, and wanted my daughter to be a tourist our own town. I rented a suite and had the best view of the river. It was the best Sweet "16" for she and her friends!

Had to wait 10 min ( a long time when you are just standing there) for an elevator, room not cleaned up first night, light in shower burned out and acting like a strobe light.

The first room was missing furniture. The front desk staff seemed put out to place us in a room with complete furnishings. Hall carpets were discussingly dirty. 26th Floor

Not up to westin standards. They are doing renovations but those meant there was a lot of noise too early. Maybe those will improve the place. Good location and nice staff.

Was not recognised as SPG member. The room was on th 14th floor in front of a big terrace that obstructed my view!! Was charged for WiFi in spite of being SPG preferred.

Great location! I was in town for a concert and spent a couple of nights for some off- work time. Spent a couple of hours by the pool and shopping in the adjacent mall.

Room didn't get cleaned and the toilet didn't flush. I would think those are pretty basic things you should expect when staying an any hotel, let alone a Westin.

This hotel is great. I've stayed at other hotels in New Orleans but this one is my new "home away from home." The staff at the hotel always met and exceeded my expectations. Don at the front door greeted me warmly upon my arrival and when at one point I needed a pair of pliers to repair some display merchandise, Alton, a building engineer, brought it to my room within minutes -- and even offered to help with what I was working on. The hotel itself is in a convenient but quiet location at the south end of the French Quarter. Criticisms I read before I arrived were just unfounded -- my room was spotless, the hotel itself shined and the elevators worked just fine. Most importantly, every staff member I met (Don, Alton, Reba at the front desk, Waymon the Front Desk Manager, and others) made me feel not only like I was a Gold or Platinum SPG member (which I'm not) but a new found friend that they were welcoming to their home. There's a saying among Jazz musicians after they've finished a great song or set -- "How soon can we do that again?" I'm looking forward to the next time I can return to the Crescent City and this hotel.

I reserved a room with a river view. It was breath taking. Very close to casinos and great restaurants. Staff was extremely helpfull. I will definately be back!!

Besides the elevator situation; this hotel needs an upgrade of its lobby furniture and carpets. We have stayed here for years and the decline is very evident.

Room was dingy - old carpets, grungy furniture, cracked ceiling/wall in bathroom, and terrible view from window.
The lobby was nice however.

Everyone here at the Westin was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was nice and roomy, and my favorite part was the 2 shower heads....heavenly, indeed.
