The staff at the hotel were excellent, the public spaces very nice. My only quip is with the room, which, in general was nice, the bathroom was showing some real signs of use/age.

beautiful lobby, great room, solid check-in experience, great location...but 2 issues, the service in the Green Room bar left was subpar, Saturday 5pm, 10 customers, 3 bartenders...still most of the customers had to wait for drinks as 2 of the bartenders spent all of their time talking to each other and running their fingers thru their hair...and disappointed with the pool deck, there is awesome potential for a great pool experience with a great view but facility is very dated

We really enjoyed our staff. The gentlemen working out front were extremely knowledgeable about the area and extremely friendly. The Westin was the perfect hotel if you are interested in parking your car for the entire stay and being able to walk to everything you want to see.

Taking into account that there really are not that many nice, clean and comfortable hotels in New Orleans, the Westin falls into that same description. Certainly one of the lower quality Westin's I've ever stayed at. The property is old, and most common areas are dirty and warn. Does not make you feel like you're in a nice hotel. The rooms are tired, dirty carpet and the AC is suffocating. Staff are friendly, but they made several mistakes on my bill and it took a long time after checking out to sort them out. Would probably not stay here again unless I had no choice.

This Hotel is spacious, clean and by far the best views of the Mississippi. Ordered room service at 8:00 and was delivered shortly after. Quicker than any hotel I have ever been in and the hotel was full due to jazz fest weekend. The bar is very relaxing and the hotel is located in Canal Place which includes Sak's, Mihael Kors, Starbucks, French Connection and many other great stores. Westin also offered 3pm check out this particular weekend and $18 overnight parking for the best covered parking in the city. You won't be disappointed. Very clean.

Came in at 11pm - was given a room that was both not clean and had really poor repairs in the bathroom. Then was given a new room - that room was already taken w/a "rest easy" hanging from the doorknob. Was told that the wrong number was written but the key would work on the correct room (yet a 3rd) it did not. The staff at the front desk was rude and the only saving grace was the manager who was apologizing (though sadly it had been such a bad experience it barely registered). Stay away from this hotel. is not up to Westin standards.

Visited for a week on a business trip. Worked a conference along with many colleagues. The hotel was comfortable, clean, located right on the Mississippi River as well as the main attractions.

Great location to restaurants and shops in the French Quarter. Great breakfast buffet...the fresh fruit was amazing.
