Rated 1 out of 5 by Heather45 Too Hot
Our room was extremely hot. The thermostats can only provide heat in the winter. Our room at one point was 80 degrees! I called the front desk and said there was nothing they could do about it. We asked for another fan to be brought up. We opened the room door and blew the nice cool air from the hallway into our room for over an hour to make it more comfortable. This is unacceptable for this caliber of a hotel. Another disappointment, there are no washrooms by the pool. You need to go back to your room to use the facilities. Not good for parents with small children. No hot tub either. Not that you need it when you have a sauna for a room!

Stayed at the hotel for two nights.
No upgrade was given for the room.
The thermostat in the room did not work at all -- I raised the temperature to 89F degree, still felt like 65 degree. There was even a note on the wall next to the thermostat saying that "if you feel uncomfortable about the temperature in the room, please turn off the thermostat". wow, what a solution.
Breakfast buffet was great, but very pricy.
Staff is very professional and welcoming.

The staff here is excellent. Jeff is one of the best front desk managers I have ever had the pleasure to know. He is excellent and very responsive to the needs of the guests. The restaurant was extremely accomodating as we had a last minute party of seven which the staff jumped all over and did a tremendous job. On a different note, while the hallways may seem a little dark, the rooms are spacious and clean. I have no hesitation to recommend this hotel. Please take a moment to say hello to Jeff who is one of the reasons why I am dedicated to the Starwood chain. Kudos.

This was my first stay with Westin. I was quite impressed with the location, the facility and the staff. My stay here could not have been more pleasant. This will definitely be my hotel of choice when staying in Toronto.

Stayed here a few times, always upgraded to suite. Although suites are a bit worn out. parking always seems to be full, even if the rate includes parking. Free shuttle to Airport, although $5 taxi is much faster.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Pedroboy Poor quality Westin
While the room was generally OK (except for small and dated bathroom), the elevators and hallways were not up to the Westin standard. Rarely have I seen such barren hallways, akin to a very basic Days Inn. As a gold card SPG member, I expect to stay on an SPG floor - this was not provided apparently because I was on a park-stay-fly package... Give me a break! That's a poor excuse for shabby treatment of SPG gold card members. This has never occurred to me, including at this hotel a couple of years back. To add insult to injury, I was also charged for internet in my room, although advised it would be waived.
This hotel is not trying hard enough. Would not stay there again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by shawshank So - so experience
The hotel charges rates as a top end hotel, however the general appearance and functionality was not to that standard. Starting with the out of order entrance, worn and patched carpeting in the hallways, peeling paint in some areas, flooded first floor, and no heat in my room on Tuesday night, this was not a 5 star experience. I will say that the staff were all very professional and courteous.
The extra charges for WI-FI in the room should be included in the room price. The room itself was clearly "well used", and some cable channels on the TV had a frustrating drop out of signal that made those channels unwatchable.
I attempted to use the pool, but condensation was dripping off the roof and falling into the pool, and because nobody else was at the pool, your signage "forbid" me from being there on my own.
I understand that this was in the middle of January and under a harsh cold snap, but its not like the hotel was built in a warm climate and moved there, Overall a mediocre experience at best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LeoLion Best Hotel to stay at in Toronto
We came for 3 days for a nice long weekend. Enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra day. Everything is spotless, staff are there to please, the rooms are so inviting, beds super comfortable and the food was terrific. We arrived early in the afternoon, checked in and went down for a late lunch. We couldn't believe how good the food was. We made a point of being at the hotel for meals every day.
I would compare this hotel to a cruise ship that makes your visit exceptional.
I will be back again and again. See you there.

Rated 2 out of 5 by DanRa Dissappointing Stay
I understand that its cold in Toronto, and the hotel was not prepared to deal with the weather, but I really expected more from a Westin....
- Lobby was cold and doors were sealed with duct tape to prevent drafts.
- On the other hand, the conference rooms were too hot one day and two cold the next.
- Breakfast was served in the lobby, but the lobby was just too cold to really enjoy.
- By the last day of my stay there were leaks from the skylights and ceiling, and you had to avoid all the yellow tape.
- Service at the lobby Bar was atrocious on my first night, it did improve on subsequent nights (we were captive as it was too cold to go anywhere else).
- Rooms could not get to temperature (temperature couldn't get over 63 even when thermostat set for 74).
- There was no robe in the room (although the hanger was there).
- A broken water pipe and fire alarms didn't help matters.
- I appreciated the WSJ delivered to the room, but it was only delivered 1 out of 3 days.
Generally, each of these things is small and wouldn't warrant a call out of sorts, but combined it made for an uncomfortable stay (although memorable for the wrong reasons). It really is a "tired" property.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wayne23 Spotlessly clean; great staff
Spent one night at hotel to have a quick break. Front desk staff were excellent and we were upgraded to a fabulous suite. Room service was quick and efficient and food was wonderful. Accessible parking is excellent with easy access to hotel. Only down side was that the temperature of the pool could have been higher. If nothing else the cold water was invigorating. It's a Westin so of course bed, towels, toiletries, etc were all first-class. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RBMTL Best Hotel in the Pearson Airport area
I have stayed about 10 times so far at this hotel and have always enjoyed quick check-ins, friendly staff, and all the Platinum advantages all the time. This is the only Starwood in that area that shows such consistency.
The restaurant offers excellent food, and the service is as attentive as one can hope for. The rooms are well appointed and renovated recently, along the the fantastic Westin sleeper bed. Will certainly return and refer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by MichT80 Great hotel for anyone in the Toronto Area
I recently stayed at The Westlin Hotel for a work conference seminar. I thought the hotel was beautifully set up, and it was great how pleaseant the staff was when I arrived. The complimentary refreshment stand, was a special touch.
While at the conference, we were treated to hotel meals for breakfast and lunch. Both meals were above my expectations. The serving staff was very pleasant.
Parking wasn't a problem, there is plenty of parking. But had there been no parking, the parking lot across the street would have been acceptable.
Considering that the airport is near, the sounds of the airplanes passing over wasn't as noisy as expected.
Overall, my stay at the hotel was great. I would have to say that the room was a bit warm and I had to set the temp to a cooler setting to sleep better. However, they do have a fan provided in the room. So that helped alot.

I stay here at least 3 to 4 times a month so i going to review every 2 months.
For airport hotels this is as good as it gets. I can stay anywhere but i choose this hotel. They have there own shuttle and pick up in 5 to 10mins after call, the staff once they know you treat like you belong just like the song says.

My 3rd stay for business and great hotel. This stay they had problems controlling heat in the rooms (too hot) but assured it was being fixed.
Great staff, great at anticipating needs of guests. Good food. Spotlessly clean everywhere. A pleasure to stay here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by HockeyJudge Comfortable Hotel With Excellent Service
I arrived late at night and the shuttle picked me up as promised at the airport. The room was extremely comfortable and the service--from the maids to the front desk to the concierge--was wonderful. I did not rent an auto on this trip, so I had more engagement with the hotel staff than usual, and they were extremely helpful. I used the iron and the hair dryer, and the television and all were in excellent condition. I will be staying here again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DCTravelHound a superior hotel just minutes from YYZ
i had my first stay at this property and was very impressed. i had booked a 0630 flight out of Pearson, and thus wanted to stay somewhere close to the airport with a shuttle so i could get as much sleep as possible.
the hotel may be an older property but is well maintained. as a platinum guest i was upgraded to a deluxe room - slightly larger with a nice couch/sitting area. the room was quiet even though i saw the planes landing at Pearson from my room.
standard westin comfortable bed and shower - something i really appreciate.
as mentioned previously, it is a short shuttle ride to Pearson - quick and easy. overall, a great value right by the airport - i definitely will be back.
(a note about the temperature issues - i was skeptical about staying at this hotel based on other comments about the heating system (i like my rooms cold) - there was a very nice, thorough note in the room from the manager explaining that the hotel was still on winter/spring temperature and the steps to take in order to cool the room (which ironically is to switch the unit off). it was a great touch that there was a fan in the room, and i remained cool enough throughout the night.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by Clay123 Hotel was not up to Westin standards.
We liked the hotel but we were not treated like SPG members. We were not put on the SPG floor, room was ok but nothing special and quite noisy from planes and motorcycles. We did not get our SPG gift upon check in. The TV remote did not work and the cordless phone did not operate. I brought the fact of not getting our gift or being put on the SPG floor without any comp. I also mentioned to the manager who said she would resolve and she never called me back or even gave us a breakfast. Everyone was pleasant but that doesnt compensate for the lack of attention to SPG members. Will not stay with again. Next time give someone a breakfast or the gift they deserve when things aren't going well. Thanks

On Friday and Saturday, Tony, at the front desk is so great with me. He gives an exceptional service. Also, I want to thank my people at the shuttle. They know me and call me by my name. Since 6 years, ths staff is the same so we can see that Westin treat the staf very well and we feel they're happy to be ther for us.
Thank you all and see you next month!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by deepseafisherman Needs updating
The hotel rooms are beginning to require some updating. Things are getting very used looking. Also the heating system is definitely not working properly. Although there are thermostats in each room, it is not possible to change the temperature settings. The room was much too hot with no way to cool it. There is a small portable fan supplied for cooling purposes. Not satisfactory.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nelson123 Room was dirty
I got room 416. The thermostat was not working properly, and it was 27C inside. I complained, and all they did was shut the thermostat off. This made for a terrible sleep. Also there were permanent stains on the carpet, and rust stains in the toilette.
