Disappointed in our first stay at this Westin. At registration there was no recognition of my platinum status and room upgrade. The assigned room, 209, was in a high activity area. This room over looked a very noisy late night entertainment spot that didn't stop until early am. If I return I will request a top floor level room.

One of our rooms had the AC fan system stuck on very high fan speed (even when setting was on "auto". Other room was located near ice machine and busy hall-way (staff early in morning). Lastly, hotel had major maintenance going on, so fumes were bad and noise started early in morning. Not the standard Westin experience I am accustomed to.

Our experience at the Westin Colonnade in Coral Gables, FL. was just fabulous!!!! The beds are so comfortable, our room was bigger than normal size and it was so quiet in our room, yet the hotel was packed with people since there was a wedding that weekend. We had a beautiful room that faced the white outdoor furniture. Room 234. You felt like you were at some Caribbean Resort on the beach. Beyond that a gorgeous view of the city. To the left a very inviting pool. Humberto, one of the concierge told us about a great restaurant called Ladorada within walking distance and it was probably one of the best restaurants we've ever been to.

We had low expectations for this hotel, and it even fell below that.
Between the constant noise from both within the hotel and early beeping from the street, we were robbed of any night's rest. In addition, maid service was inconsistent and didn't even come one day.
There are no SPG perks at this hotel, and it was insulting that as an SPG member we would be put in such a terrible spot in the hotel.
We will never stay at this hotel again and have even discussed canceling our SPG number due to our experience. This hotel could not even provide the basic amenities standard at any level hotel.

We were really disappointed in this Westin. Each night of our stay there were weddings in the hotel. To enter the hotel we had to step over/around cigarette butts and trash, which remained there, unswept throughout the entire weekend of our visit. On Friday night we had to step around vomit to get into the Sushi Samba restaurant located in the lobby of the hotel. The room itself was only moderately clean and had terrible ventilation, we were all coughing and clearing our throats all weekend, and the room smelled musty. This hotel was simply not worth the price we paid and certainly did not live up to what we have come to expect from Westin. I am a UM parent and frequently visit Coral Gables, I will definitely seek alternative accomodations next time.

First time in Florida,Coral Gables and this hotel,wasnt sure what to expect...The hotel is gorgeous,clean and have a good location.From the Valet(s)- staff are very nice and prompt.Check-in Desk-(Mr Valdez) is courteous,friendly and very accomodating,made us feel welcome.Concierge-(JOAQUIN)was exceptionally helpful,friendly,professional and full of knowledge of the areas.Housekeeping did a fantastic job on all days of our stay.Restaurant staff are friendly & attentive.Everyone i encountered had some personal touch of service,definitely made my stay wonderful.I will definitely be back at your gorgeous property with a smile !!! Excellent hotel.
