My stay at the Westin in Edina, MN was great. Staff was great. Loved the pool, hot tub, and fitness center was nice. McCormick and Schmick was a great restaurant, which was conveniently located next to the hotel. Room was spacious, clean, and bathroom was very big. Snack fridge was a little pricey, but a nice option if needed.

Our family had a trip planned to Chicago but a snow storm prevented us from going. We visited the Westin instead and what a wonderful getaway it was! The Club level is great! How nice to have the club room to gather and enjoy appetizers and breakfast.

The staff was terrific all over the hotel, from the front desk to club lounge. We were immediately and politely greeted at the front desk. The lounge staff for breakfast was incredibly attentive and helpful.
The both the room and the overall building were clean and well maintained. Whatever fragrance they are using as an air freshener smells great. I looked around the workout/pool area of the hotel, but did not use the facilities. The fitness equipment was plentiful and top of the line. From the appearance of the setup, it was well designed facility.
The continental breakfast in the lounge was great. There was something for everyone and the food was delicious.
Looking forward to another visit in the future.

Rated 2 out of 5 by WayneRichfield The room was misrepresented
When I made the reservation, I was told the room I reserved would have two sets of windows and would be oversized (503 square feet) with multiple TVs.
The room we had only had one set of windows, was only the size of a standard room and only had one TV.
I feel that I over paid for the room I had and should have been charged only for a standard room.
This reservation was for a belated birthday so my partner was very disappointed in what we ended up with.

The Westin located in Edina has great access to the Galleria via underground tunnel which is very nice - Especially in the winter!!! Parking underground in the rear parking ramp is also convenient for this access to & from the hotel & the Galleria/ places to eat & shopping. The pool area is a nice addition to this Westin, great for the kids & adults. Very nice fitness area for working-out too. All around great place to stay! Also, the late 3:00pm check-out on Sundays is AWESOME!!!

Stayed 4 nights. Maid on day 2 didn't speak english. not enough towels. poorly provisioned coffee. kleenex not replaced despite request. dryer ripped out of socket and bent prongs. soap/ shampoo not enough. obvious that there is no check list to follow as different maids forgot different things. since when are sheets not changed? pillows wtihout cases and smelled of stinky feet . Room not vacuumed and glassses not cleaned. they need training to do the same things in the same way every day, the way i expect it at every large hotel especially a westin.

I spent Valentines Day at this hotel.
ROOM: Was upgraded to a CLUB SUITE. Thank you BRANDON. The room was beautiful and located on the 6th floor. The suites at this hotel are located in the corner and have a great view of the GALLERIA MALL. The room had a living room fully equipped with sofas and other paraphernalia. It also had a dining table to seat 6 people. Two bathrooms and a tub along with a separate bedroom. This room felt like a fully equipped apartment.
CHECK IN PROCESS: Was smooth and easy with a very courteous front desk agent.
DINING: I had reservations to dine at McCormick's and Schmick's located within the hotel. I arrived was dinner at 2030 hrs and they were seating reservations for 1930 hrs. The restaurant was packed to capacity and I could barely walk inside. It was a zoo of people at the restaurant. I decided not to wait and went back to my room and ordered the same menu that is served at McCormicks's and Schmick's in my room and it was delivered within 10 minutes.
IN ROOM DINING: Was a beautiful private Valentine's Day experience. The food arrived promptly and was delivered by Ms Sanchez who was very sweet and courteous. I was also provided with complimentary champagne and dessert as an in room amenity. Thank you Westin Staff.
CHECK OUT PROCESS: Very smooth and effortless. Thank you SARAH.
CONCIERGE: Thank you BRANDON and FEY.
RECOMMENDATIONS: I highly recommend this SPG Hotel but I DO NOT recommend dining at McCormick's and Schmick's on VALENTINES DAY. You will be disappointed. Its best to dine in your room privately under candle light with roses. But the menu from McCormick's and Schmick's is phenomenal. I did eat lunch post Valentines Day and it was much more relaxed with no overcrowding.
OVERALL: Highly recommended SPG Hotel in the Twin Cities and it is amongst my most favorite hotels. I would say that this is the BEST SPG choice in MSP along with another SPG brand located in Downtown Minneapolis. Also this is more a family oriented hotel and if you are looking for a party atmosphere then this is not the hotel for you and you should look to staying at another SPG brand property in Downtown Minneapolis..This hotel is for relaxation and rejuvenation purposes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Traveler6325 One of the most embarrising situations I've had
On Saturday 01/25/14, we stayed at the Westin Galleria Edina hotel for a special family event I had planned for a long time with setting up a 200 dollar shopping spree and diner for my wife. Everything was set to go and when arriving to our room, the gift cards were on the dresser with a white card that had "Love Mike!" in big red letters. I asked my wife "Who's Mike?" and my wife asked me "Who's Mike?" and must of thought it was my flame. It was very uncomfortible for both of us and I convinced my wife I had no idea why "Love Mike!" was placed in our room. When informing the front desk about the situation, they appologized and informed it was a mistake and added a free breakfast to our room and an appologized and a card was also left with the sparking wine I ordered to be delived a few weeks earlier. Oversights that take place like these are difficult and ideally I feel should never happen. Just wanted to share my experience. Restaurant and the rest of the evening went fine. It will be hard to forget this experience for a while. Scott
