Rated 5 out of 5 by Pat8 Westin Edina, Such a Great Place
This is the only hotel I would stay at when visiting Minneapolis. The staff is friendly, professional and very helpful.
The hotel is modern, clean and spacious.
Breakfast lounge is a must each morning.
Fine dining and shopping connected to the hotel is a bonus. Getting to MOA and downtown is a short trip.

This Westin has an outstanding restaurant, McCormick and Schmick's, in the hotel. The food is superb. The hotel also has wonderfully friendly and efficient staff who are always ready to assist a guest. The rooms are clean, well arranged, spacious, comfortable, and have a pleasant smell.

Stayed here for a wedding and stayed on until Monday. Lovely weather for a walk in nearby Minnehaha Falls, shopping at Galleria and MOA, Cheesecake Factory right across the street for late night snack! But the very best was the salt water pool. No chlorine and lovely hot spa!

The staff are wonderful and go above and beyond to make sure my stay is memorabel each and every time I stay at the Westin Edina. It is truly my favorite hotel amongst the many I frequent on my business travels in the U.S. and Canada.
Keep up the good work!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. The beds were a little hard and the lack of free internet access were the only things we didn't care for, but I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

We stayed for just one night, but had a great night's rest. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was quiet. We appreciated the separate shower and tub in the bathroom. Great location for shopping - right across from Southdale Mall.

We have stayed at this Westin many times, in fact everytime we come to Twin Cities, it's the best, the service, the location, the beds are the "best". I won't ever stay any where else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by lefty03488 Welcoming and Relaxing!
Upon arriving at the Westin, we were greeted warmly by staff. Check-in was fast and easy. We got to our room and loved the functional layout. The bathroom was one of the best features. The bath tub and shower were separate, which is not something that you see in too many hotels. The bath tub was larger and deeper than a standard tub.
The pool and and hot tub were enjoyable as well! The salt water/saline pool was very refreshing. My husband took advantage of the New Balance workout gear program. He was able to select three clothing items to use during his workout. The program only cost $5 for our entire stay.
We stayed on the club level of the hotel. We were very impressed with the food selection at the continental breakfast. There weren't any hot items like sausage, bacon, and eggs, but there was cereal, fruit, yogurt, bread, and pastries. Also, the continental breakfast is offered till 10-11am depending on if you are there during the week or over the weekend. The hors d’oeuvres in the evening were not as good as the breakfast. They tasted great, but there wasn't much of a variety.
Overall, this hotel exceeded my husband's and my expectations and we will most definitely stay here again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by FrequentTraveler13 WESTIN EDINA IS AMAZING
Another quick leisure stay.
POSITIVES: Amazing hotel, very friendly staff, I was upgraded to a beautiful suite. The suites at this hotel are truly amazing, very spacious with a living room and a large dining table that can seat about 8 people, it also has a tub and two bathrooms. The Westin double showerheads are refreshing.
NEGATIVES: Club lounge located on the 7th floor is open in the evenings from 1700 hrs to 1900 hrs and the food is only available for TWO HOURS. If you are checking in after 1900 hours it will not be possible to get any food. I truly feel that the TWO HOURS WINDOW is too short. SPG-75 and SPG-100 members who ulitize your24 facility and members who check in after 1900 hrs will get no food. In addition any member who wants to go shopping at the Edina Galleria mall or wants to check out a movie at the nearby AMC theater in the evening will have to use the club lounge only within the 2 hours bracket.
CLUB LOUNGE BREAKFAST: The breakfast service is excellent and on weekends the Westin has extended hours until 1100 hrs. You can sleep in on a Saturday or Sunday for a little longer before breakfast especially if you have been awake the previous night or after a late night flight. The food is excellent.
RESTAURANTS : I ate at THE GOOD EARTH and the Westin front desk has a 20% off voucher which you need to take with you to get a discount at various nearby restaurants. The Westin is connected via an underground walkway to the mall. There is a Starbucks right opposite the Westin if you are a coffee lover.
POOL AND HOT TUB: Pool and hot tub located on the ground floor are amazing. You will need your room key for access.
OVERALL ATMOSPHERE: Family and seniors. Do not expect a club or party atmosphere. Its a combination of peace, tranquility, family and seniors.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Kindly introduce EXTENDED HOURS for the club lounge in the evenings if possible. The two hours window from 1700-1900 hrs is too short. Addition of extra 1-2 hours after 1900 hrs may be helpful.
OVERALL: An AMAZING SPG hotel. You will feel relaxed and energized here. I always stay here for leisure and to recharge myself. Try it out and you will immensely enjoy it

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jim86 The worst service. Stay somewhere else!
I have stayed at this hotel many times since it opened a few years ago. From a facility point of view it is a very nice facility, which is one of the reasons that I have continued to return. Things are fine unless you ask for anything. They have an arrogance about themselves, so they don't seem to care about keeping you as a customer. I have never come across people that make no attempt to make something work for you.
If customer service is as important to you as the facility, pick a different place. If you have no expectation of service, this is a fine choice.
I don't make these statements lightly. I won't go back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by maggie Excellent stay
I only travel to the Minneapolis area a few times per year, and this was my first stay at this hotel. I'll be back. The room was roomy and comfortable. The bathroom was heaven! Parking was easily accessible (and free!). The exercise room was very clean, and the equipment kept up very well. The staff were extremely responsive to any needs. My only bit of feedback is the in-room wi-fi service. Unfortunately, you have to pay for service for each device you use, which I didn't realize. So I had to purchase wi-fi for both my ipad and my laptop. The front desk clerk explained it's tracked by the ip address, but I still think that's kind of a poor policy. She was kind enough to remove the additional charges though.
overall, top notch service - great hotel!!

Not only is this a first class hotel, but they welcome pets. We normally have to kennel our golden doodle whe we visit our family. However, we discovered that they allowed us to bring our pet to the Westin Galleria.
It made our stay so much more enjoyable . This is the only place we will stay when we visit th twin cities.
We also, enjoyed the fact we could, shop,at the galleria mall without having to go outside as it is connect by a tunnel to the Westin.
First class facility, wonderful friendly staff and best of all pet friendly .

Rated 5 out of 5 by Carly33 Restful Stay
My husband and I stayed one night to celebrate our anniversary and have a night away from our small children. We were looking for a quite, uninterrupted night of sleep! And we got it! When we checked in, we were upgraded to one of the floors with complimentary breakfast and appetizers. The staff made sure to help us get a quiet room and we were told if it wasn't satisfactory after we got into the room, to let them know, and they would be happy to move us. The room was great from the start!

I normally stay at the property once a month. I am never disappointed. The last couple of visits I have had the opportunity to experience the Executive Lounge. Since my visits are always on the weekends the same staff tend to be on duty. They are all outstanding. One that stands out is Ortenzia (I hope I am spelling her name correctly). She is such a pleasant lady. She goes out of her way to make all the guests feel very much at home. It is always such a pleasure to see her.

Rated 2 out of 5 by WayneRichfield The room was misrepresented
When I made the reservation, I was told the room I reserved would have two sets of windows and would be oversized (503 square feet) with multiple TVs.
The room we had only had one set of windows, was only the size of a standard room and only had one TV.
I feel that I over paid for the room I had and should have been charged only for a standard room.
This reservation was for a belated birthday so my partner was very disappointed in what we ended up with.

Rated 3 out of 5 by SMF426 Overpriced in Edina
the hotel is lovely but when you compare Starwood options in MSP this is far too costly for the area. At NYC prices you expect more----. the valet parking was elusive- could never find the guy- the room( normal Westin stock) was fine, but at this price I would have expected late turndown service ,the Exectuive lounge was fair. the staff in the lounge was unfamiliar with the area. When asked where aspecific major store was located they did not know and sent me to the wrong mall.
If you are charing five star rates then act like a five star hotel. Checking the rates--- at a lowest cost in the mid $300 range and the services not at that level think twice! when yoiu examine the cost for what you get it just was not worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SBonnet My preferred place to stay!
Our preferred place to stay when the 'girls' must go shopping! We enjoy the beautiful spa inspired accommodations connected to the Galleria with lovely boutique shops and the convenience of having the areas finest restaurants within steps. The Westin employees always extend a friendly 'Minnesooota' welcome and are helpful and accommodating. Its the perfect Spring and Fall shopping escape!

Last minute changes needed to be made due to a family emergency and your front desk personnel were incredible in helping with our reservation. Even your corporate reservations operator (just a voice on the phone) went far above and beyond and was very much appreciated when making my initial reservation.
Special thanks to front desk person Kem Michels who was compassionately helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ckccan Always a great stay here!
There's no question this is the best hotel in the area, and my only complaint is that it can sometimes be difficult to secure a reservation, especially on short notice during the week.
This property is in a great location with free underground parking immediately adjacent to the property along with upscale shopping and dining.
The property is elegant and manages to create a peaceful environment from the moment you walk through the front door. It features a McCormick & Schmicks restaurant in the hotel that gets busy for their amazing happy hour deals. They also have a diverse well priced wine list and a great bar staff.
The staff and management team at this property are fantastic and always seem to genuinely care and go out of their way to accommodate any special requests, whether it’s the front desk, bell services, concierges or housekeeping.
As anyone who travels for business knows, business travel can be trying at the best of times. I actually look forward to my visits here. If you book a Club Floor room or you are SPG Platinum you’ll have access to the top floor lounge for breakfast and evening hors d’oeuvres.
In terms of facilities, it’s not a massive property but does have all the essentials of a business hotel including a business centre, gym and swimming pool along with several options for meeting rooms.
I have stayed here several times over the past couple of years and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property to anyone! I’ve done a lot of business travel over the years and this is easily one of my favourite places to stay.
