I enjoyed the happy hour service in Westin. I want to thank Sally and Cc, very nice girl and very customer oriented service, they can remember my name and they can remember what i like to eat, they can help me to solve problems,they are my good friends. I have strong homely feeling.Thanks a lot.

I stayed at this hotel because it's close to the airport. During my last stay, I have experienced something I have NEVER thought I would experience in any SPG hotels. I left my room for breakfast downstairs while "DO NOT DISTURB" sign was on. Then I noticed someone came into my room touched my belongings and left big plastic bags. I immediately called for security and demanded to check the video footage. All the explanation I got from the staff and the general manager Mr. D. N. was that they assumed I requested the plastic bag, which I did NOT, but they barged into the room anyways, even while the "DO NOT DISTURB" sign was on.

I am a frequent guest to Beijing and stay 30+ night/ year in the area with Starwood. This was my first time at this hotel, and will be my last. The lobby was beautiful, but after that everything else was lacking. Front desk staff didn’t seem to know what SPG was or SPG Status, although I was perilously upgraded with the assistance of my ambassador. Once checked in I wondered around the lobby trying to find the elevators before finally finding them. First room I didn’t even make it in the door, as the smell of cigarette smoke poured out as soon as I opened the door. (Supposedly this was a non-smoking floor)
Second room smelled better, yet very dark and dingy and looked as though it was extremely worn out. Switch plates are a great example; they were black with dirt and worn through.
Lounge was large and only half of it seemed to be open, although I was directed to sit in the unopened part and then travel to the other side for a drink.
Breakfast was typical for any hotel in China, large space, lots of food, but the quality of food was not equal to the size of the space. Large space= poor quality of food.
Staff in spa and pool area did not seem to care if you were there. I took my colleague down to get a spa treatment and although we stood at the desk looking at the spa menu, not one of the 3 staff 5 feet away ever said a word to us. I have to assume they were intimidated to speak English, as it was what we were speaking to each other.
Something I have not experienced in a great deal of time at Starwood is, staff seemed to share the elevators. On one occasion we squeezed to the side to accommodate a cleaning cart, another to accommodate a massage bed, and another to stop at 4 different floors to let staff out.
Suggestions for hotel- update the worn out rooms, have staff use service elevator, train staff to at least acknowledge guests in English (even if that is all they can do), and decide what side of lounge is actually open.
This was my first trip to this hotel, and will be my last, best of luck,

Upon arrive in the hotel did not even have anyone at the door attending on the cab or luggage. Reach the check in counter did not samply have any label saying the counter. When over to the first counter ask me to go to the 2nd counter upon arrive at the second request me to go to third counter. Question the stuff how many counter i need to go to before can check in stuff very unplease in helpping me check in. Did not even have a free internet service when alot of major brand having free internet in Beijing. When check out, there is no stuff at counter until i look for a bell boy go to office to look for the stuff... JUST BAD SERVICE

I went to this hotel to dine at its Seasonal Tastes restaurant featuring RMB348/per person +15% buffet. I was appalled at the quality and had to wait more than half an hour for a roast that stayed in the oven. Tofu with Sea Cucumber is filled with tofu whereas sea cucumber was never found. Sea Bass was definitely not Sea Bass. Local Chinese national verified that the tag in Chinese said it was a different fish. No one stood behind the icecream counter and people waited and waited for someone to serve us. This is the worst experience dining at a SPG property anywhere for me.

Conveniently located steps from subway station that can take you to all major tourist destinations. The staff were helpful and friendly. The pool, spa and workout room were the best I've been to. The price of the food is a bit high. We ate mostly in the food court that located in the city mall (out the back entrance of Westin, down a flight of stairs into the food court).

Have stayed in this hotel 2 or 3 times/year since it opened. Was disappointed with this week's stay and must regretfully report that service is in decline.
-- Men's locker room/sauna/jacuzzi and whole exercise area are overdue for renovation. Locker room now feels seedy, dark and slightly dirty.
-- Breakfast brunch on 2F still good. However quality WAY off in 34th floor lounge. At 6am today, when everything should be ready, half the dishes were still not available. What was there was icey cold, including the dumplings, baked beans, eggs, -- etc.
-- Happy Hour food quality on 34f uneven. Chinese snacks on evening were ok. But western snacks were horrible - they looked fine but had no taste whatsoever, especially the crab ones.
-- Service throughout hotel is still friendly and attentive but increasingly ineffective.
-- Internet access in room is horribly inconvenient. It goes off after a short time of non-use, requiring you to sign in again. Wifi is slow.
-- Chinese restaurant is expensive and mediocre. Go out! Tthere are plenty of good places nearby.
Too bad, this place used to be much better. Probably needs a management shake-up.

Facilities were lovely but breakfast over 5 days always cold!! Eg bacon , eggs not covered and cold. One chef cooking omelettes for 6 people waiting. Stayed 3 days prior with Viking. Manager at reception didn't apologise when our room keys for 3 couples failed to work after Viking tour needed and we stayed extra days. A lot of confusion re additional nights and had to attend reception 3 times to get it sorted. The outside paths from hotel to metro is a dangerous disgrace and needs rectify straight away!
