Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel makes you feel like Royalty! This is my second time staying at the Westin in Richmond. I thought I had a wonderful experience the first time, but this time was even greater! From the moment I drove up to the minute I drove away, I was taken carry of. Nothing was a hassle and my every need was met. I will be bringing my Mom to relax once she has her surgery. March 10, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by This is why I always stay at the Richmond Westin Whenever I visit Richmond (6 - 8 times per year) this is the place I like to call "home." The staff is always friendly and ready to help, the building is always clean and I love the simple pleasure of a cool glass of water waiting for all guests just outside the lobby elevator. Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel has great staff and pretty good accomodations Staff was great, accomodating all special requests treating us with kind courtesy and considerations. Upgrading to lounge level was worth it and lounge staff was very helpful. Room was a standard king accommodation but very clean and confortable. When I asked for early ck in because I was on business and my wife traveled with me since it was our 35th anniversary, we were orrignally told no gurantee but when she asked upon arrival, was quickly ck in and accomodated even with a small token of appreciation for our anniversay. I'm greatly impressed by the level of service provided. February 27, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anniversary Overnight We stayed here for a wedding anniversary celebration. Certainly met our expectations, but did not exceed as it was an average 4 star experience. No special feeling of being pampered, nor as a SPG; attendant at the Executive Club was hard to locate for drinks in the evening, and the breakfast eggs were dry and cold near the end of the breakfast period. Seemed to be a nice upscale "business-persons" hotel, but not for a special experience. February 8, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Getting it Right in Richmond OVERALL IMPRESSION: Sleek in the manner of newer Westins which I much prefer over the spartan 90s version. SPG PLATINUM RECOGNITION: Excellent. Upgrade to a One-Bedroom Suite prior to arrival. Great check-in experience. All special requests satisfied but no in-room Welcome Amenity nor greeting from the Manager. THE ROOM: Beautiful, elegant and spacious. LOCATION: Along Broad Street but more a highway property than a downtown one. EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS: The Food Services in the small but elegant Executive Lounge were excellent and, as it was a quite inclement night, the Appetizer Hour being rather more than rather less was most appreciated. DID NOT MEET EXPECTATIONS: I know it is a little bonus and not a standard feature but I always feel very gratified when there is a personalized Welcome Letter from the Manager and an in-room Welcome Amenity so I feel consequently disappointed when it is lacking. ONE THING TO KNOW: Standard rates run very high but occasionally this property appears at very favorable rates on SPG Hot Escapes - check before you book. January 21, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Westin Business Traveler's Hotel This property is a standard Westin business traveler’s property. The style is classic Westin; clean, simple and elegant. The staff are friendly and welcoming. One benefit of this property is the executive lounge. It is adequately staffed and stocked in the evening for hors d'oeuvres and for breakfast in the morning. The location is great for quick access to I64 and Hwy 250 but there are limited restaurant options within walking distance. January 13, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by This hotel needs improvement I stay at the Westin every chances I get. I usually am happy with the atmosphere and always impressed with the staff service. Richmond however, didn't meet my expectations. The hallway on the 7th floor has a bad smell. It smells like moldy carpet. The Westin always has a clean lovely smell, but this time I was disappointed. The servieice in the restaurant was terrible and the food was not good. I would not recommend this hotel. January 13, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Refreshing The hotel staff greeted me with a warm smile. I was also one of the lucky ones to be selected for an upgrade and was roomed on the 7th floor. Executive Club lounge was wonderful. It made such a difference to be around staff that seem to enjoy their jobs. It was so very refreshing, a nice stay away from home for business. Thanks Westin!!! Rated 5 out of 5 by First time guest As the saying goes, you only get 1 time to make a first impression and this hotel certainly did this. The front desk ladies were great along with Andy as well. I was there for 3 weeks and the staff made me feel right at home. I am looking forward to my next stay there cowing that I will be well taken care of. Great job Westin Hotel in Richmond, VA!! Rated 5 out of 5 by Lovely Anniversary We stayed her for our wedding anniversary and enjoyed it immensely. We dined at your restaurant and found the food and service first class. Our server, Omer, was one of the best waiters we have had in a very long time. If all of your other staff are as good as he was, you will always be one of the top hotels in Richmond. Rated 5 out of 5 by One of my favorites I've spent about 10 nights here this year on 5 separate trips and really enjoy every aspect of this property. Bellmen, front desk, even room cleaners are very courteous, friendly, and smart. Hotel feels brand new and it shows in layout and overall cleanliness. The restaurant is good, the club lounge excellent, and the rooms are large and quiet. My only request would be if you could swap locations with the other SPG hotel down the street as there isn't much within walking distance here. Overall, a great place to stay not only for business but they also treated my kids and wife very well when they tagged along one trip. November 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by I loved the complimentary starbucks coffee We stayed here for a soccer tournament. I was impressed on how nice the hotel was. I used to travel for work a lot and got used to the nicer hotels. This hotel is up there in terms of upper end hotels. Beds were very comfortable, lighting was fine in the rooms (I loved the LED night light in the bathroom), the curtains let you make the room dark for deep sleep, there was plenty of sound insulation as we did not hear the highway even though we were less than 100 yards from it. The free starbucks coffee was very nice too. Staff were all knowledgeable and nice. The gym was decent too and the kids loved the pool November 18, 2013
