Room came with one robe even though two checked in. Room had a cork screw behind the locked mini bar, no key was provided at check in.
Despite a request to the bellman upon entering the room it took nearly an hour to get a robe and a cork screw.
Charged for internet....what is the use in being a member

I am so happy I chose this hotel to celebrate my surprise valentine night out with my wife. The service and accomodations were excellent. The bed, pillows and sheets were very soft. One nice to have in the room or bathroom would be a full length mirror -- a must before going for a night on the town.

There was zero platinum recognition other than points. It was busy so broken coffee pot was never fixed, though the outlets were non functioning at desks that was fixed immediately.

The room is very spacious. The beds are extremely comfortable. The bathroom was nice. Staff is very friendly and helpful. This was the hotel the Lions stayed in before the game. The hotel is within walking distance to Comerica Park and Ford Field. Great place to stay when you're in town for a game!

I've stayed here before and love this hotel. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the SPG recogntion. This was my first stay at platinum level and the staff made me feel like my questions about SPG recognition were inappropriate. The manager took care of things though and we had a great stay.

The Westin Book Cadillac never fails to meet my expectations. I have stayed there probably 10 times and all of them have been excellent. I highly recommend staying at the Book Cadillac if you are staying in Detroit. The location is great, the service fantastic and the pool is a very nice plus.

The hotel, staff and features are great. My only thing was the parking structure, I eventually found a park on my second ride thru. There were too many velet parking spots. But it was cool like I say I found one. My room was the BEST with a GREAT view of the city...... Thanks have a good one

Beautiful, clean, well appointed and comfortable rooms. Convenient to restaurants and shops. This is THE place to stay in downtown Detroit.

Arrived at 7pm on a Friday and our room was not ready. When we finally got to our room, there was no crib for our 9 month old which we had previously requested and asked for again at check-in. I will say that the large room was very nice and clean. The bed and linens were also very comfy. We are unhappy with this hotel because of the hold put on our credit/debit card. A hold that would normally be, on average, $50 to $100 for incidentals, but ended up being $4400!!!!!! YES, you read that right, that's four THOUSAND four hundred dollars!!!!!!!! I am not kidding. We just about died when the bank told us that. We thought the bank put a hold on our federal tax refund, but no, it was $4400 being held by the Westin. I called and spoke to Diedra today and she was supposed to transfer me to a manager, but of course I got disconnected instead. I was unable to call back because I was on the road again and of course they never bothered to call back either. We will also be on a close watch of our account because we only used credit/debit for incidentals and payed cash for the room. We didn't receive a receipt at check-in nor one under our door in the morning. Hopefully the girl at the desk didn't pocket our money. Still haven't heard from them and I'm sure no one did or found anything wrong, but our bank told us differently. I only recommend this hotel because the room was nice and there isn't much to choose from downtown.

We had a very enjoyable stay while we were at the Westin. Everyone we dealt with on staff was SO very nice! Our room was clean and comfortable, a great home away from home. We were in Chicago the weekend before and what a bargain compared to the room there! We will definately be back!

Hotel is in a great location and the 24 Grille certainly meets ones expectations. I spent close to $400.00 for a room to then learn I needed to spend another $8.00 a day for wireless? Really? Pretty much everything that is good about the place went out the window for an $8.00 charge.

My girlfriend and I decided on a weekend getaway, the Book Cadillac was a good choice. Had dinner downstairs, that was wonderful. Grabbed a cab to a cigar bar. Had to walk back (was a little dicey) that had drinks at the hotel bar. Breakfast at the Exec Club room was good as well...

Shower was fabulous - the lighting is very bad and no where to hang a towel in the entire bathroom. Room was fine, great view and adequate amenities. Great bed as usual. Food was great, service was great and yes I would recommend staying here if you are visiting downtown Detroit.

The staff at the hotel went out of their way to accommodate my needs. It was a great experience and I would recommend it for anybody staying in Detroit. I arrived on an especially busy weekend, and the entire hotel staff never felt hurried or rushed - just a very good experience.

The hotel is an awesome piece of architecture that was recently renovated. The room views are incredible. The check-in clerk upgraded our room for free. The room service, while pricey like most room service, was well worth it! The delivery was fast! I will return to this hotel.

Great facility, with concierge lounge, great workout space, and lively clientele. In fact, you're going to see more celebrities in this hotel than you will see in Hollywood, most likely.
Great reastaurants on site.
Service can be spotty, but most staff are friendly and helpful.

Check in was easy and I was given a nice suite on the top floor. Room and public areas were immaculate. Staff were very pleasant. Food in the 24 grille was very good and they had a great selection of local beers. Lounge on top floor provides a good breakfast to start the day.

Had a very nice relaxing time in downtown and the Westin was a big part of it!
From Lafayette Coney Island to Roast, we ate well! The Front Office Staff seemed to be a little preoccupied and not as gracious as on other occasions. But the rest of the staff was very welcoming.

The check in staff was not to interested in service.
The air vent in the bathroom was very dirty.
The Bathroom sink was pluged, it took the water from shaving 5 minutes to drain, I forgot to mention the bathroom items at checkout, sorry.
Overall the stay was fine as always.

I'm not sure what happened, but I'm a platinum member and I ended up in a room with no mini bar, down pillows even though my profile asks for foam pillows and on a low floor with no acknowledgment of my platinum status. Not sure if it's an error, but seems sub-par for SPG.

We were provided vouchers for breakfast valued at $25.00 each. The breakfast ended up costing our group of 6 an extra $44.00. Which made the total for a very average breakfast - $194.00. Outrageous!
Get real- they added a 10% gratuity for a party of 6. Last time for us.

I stay in this hotel 10-20 nights per year for Detroit Tigers games. It is one of my favorite hotels around, and I travel extensively for work and pleasure. The staff are very accommodating, the facilities are fantastic, and the historic hotel itself is an absolute gem.

My husband and I brought one of our favorite couples with us. We wanted them to experience the snow (ambiance) with us. It was exactly what we expected, just beautiful, staff friendly. We all had an amazing time. Have a Merry Christmas.

From the moment I walked in to the moment the valet gave me my keys back when I left the facilities were totally unexpected. I felt like I was staying in a Hotel for royalty and surely this room wasn't meant for me. Too bad I was only there one night. Thank you!

My husband and I stayed at The Westin Cadillac and it was horrible. The mastress was so uncomfortable and stiff. They only had one pillow on each side. The shower had no pressure. I was extremely unsatisfied with the room service. I would never stay there again.

I travel every week and generally try to stay at a Westin, espcially if there is one close by my meeting places.Not all Westins are the same. Some are tired and worn. The Book Cadillac has met my expectation of what the Westin brand says about comfort. good job.
